This trip gives you a fantastic opportunity to climb the highest mountain in western Europe, Mt Blanc.
in addition we practise and acclimatise on other peaks in the Alps before which allows a smooth and successful tour to this iconic summit.
We can climb Mont Blanc by a number of different routes but the one listed here is the 3 Monts Route with acclimatisation on Gran Paradiso.
We meet in Chamonix and after checking equipment we drive through the Mont Blanc Tunnel to Italy and walk up to the Chabod Hut. Starting through pine trees at first, we reach the hut after about 2.5 hours and are on our way to climbing our first acclimatisation peak, Gran Paradiso. In the afternoon we can do some skills training and reacquaint ourselves with our technical gear. The following day, we climb to the summit of Gran Paradiso by the normal route. This is a glacial climb, with a short, rocky section at the top. We then descend to the Vittorio Emmanuele Hut gaining further acclimatisation overnight. We then descend back to the valley before driving to the lower valleys maybe even Chamonix where we'll spend the night.
Our summit push on Mont Blanc starts with an uplift to the Aiguille du Midi and a night in the Cosmiques Refuge.
An early start sees us heading up. This route is less busy than the Gouter Route and we pass by a number of other 4000m peaks....
This trip is ALL INCLUSIVE so no additional charges such as huts, cable cars, meals, transfers etc which for you and your guide can add up to 2000 Euros

Who will be my leader
Sean is your leader and arranges all trips on this website.
-
He has lived in Dubai for 12 years and splits his time between here and the Pyrenees.
He has led 4 expeditions to the summit of Everest and 15 expeditions to mountains over 8000m as well as many around the globe.
If we employ further western guides they will be qualified and experienced mountain guides or mountaineering instructors.
On other expeditions such as Nepal and Pakistan we also ensure that all of our local porters have a good track record of mountaineering at high altitudes.
Whilst qualifications and experience are essential requirements, we also make sure that our porters have the right temperament to lead an expedition comprised of individuals who have a range of previous experience and expectations. To that end, we aim to provide a staff (and clients ) who will make the expedition both successful and enjoyable throughout.

Climbing Mont Blanc is a difficult alpine tour not only the physical aspect but technically.
Good acclimatization, training, and endurance are key to reaching the summit. It’s essential to stay at altitude for at least a few days before, either in the Mont Blanc Massif in huts at 3000 m or elsewhere to get proper acclimatization
Its also necessary to have some flexibility in case the weather forces us to move the ascent date. If you have more days, then it is also easier fto change the summit day in the short term, depending on the conditions.
We practice alpine climbing techniques together before climbing Mont Blanc..

Can I rent equipment
We can help you rent equipment and offer advice on purchases. Purchases should be done a long time in advance and tested before stepping on the mountain.
Equipment can be rented in Chamonix but at this level you are probably expected to have the basics. Please allow time for this.

Do you offer other routes or dates on Mont Blanc
We do also offer the Gouter Route which is also a classic and the most popular route on Mont Blanc. It is considered the fastest way to the Mont Blanc summit once you have reached the hut but as a result suffers from overcrowding.
In this case we use a number of huts, Nid d'Aigle and Tete Rousse on the summit approach from Les Houches which allows us to gain strength, take smaller jumps in altitude and avoid dangerous times of the day when rockfall and glacier melt occur.
It's essential to book this version early as the refuges on this itinerary are frequently booked up to a year in advance.
Please contact us if you want alternative dates, the ability to book more than 1 person on Mont Blanc or other arrangements.
This trip is ALL INCLUSIVE so no additional charges such as huts, cable cars, meals, transfers etc which for you and your guide can add up to 2000 Euros
