Our trip begins from either Interlaken or Grindelwald where we set off on the Jungfraujoch train and travel to the Eismeer station. Tourists continue to the top restaurant by train but, we’ll descend through the tunnel to the exit of the glacier.
Our first taste of climbing and the wilderness we cross the ice and snow and climb up to the Mittellegi hut. We will spend the night here perched on the ridge before beginning our ascent to the Eiger the next morning. The Eiger or Ogre is the hardest of the 3 peaks and will take us at least 10 hours along the Mitellegi ridge.
After the summit, the going is still difficult and we traverse a different ridge and make our way to the Mönchjochhutte. There is no respite.
These days are hard as we are already thinking of the next summit. Luckily it s a bit easier and shorter so we can start later. The Mönch is the easiest in our trip, but still approximately 5 hours. After the summit we return to the Mönchjochhutte which now feels like home. The next and final day is the Jungfrau and the climb to the summit and back to the train station will take us around 7 hours.  Finally we return to Interlaken or Grindelwald by mechanical means.

He has led 4 expeditions to the summit of Everest and 15 expeditions to mountains over 8000m as well as many around the globe.
If we employ further western guides they will be qualified and experienced mountain guides or mountaineering instructors.
On other expeditions such as Nepal and Pakistan we also ensure that all of our local porters have a good track record of mountaineering at high altitudes.
Whilst qualifications and experience are essential requirements, we also make sure that our porters have the right temperament to lead an expedition comprised of individuals who have a range of previous experience and expectations. To that end, we aim to provide a staff (and clients ) who will make the expedition both successful and enjoyable throughout.

  • What level of experience do I need

Climbing these peaks is a difficult alpine tour not only the physical aspect but technically.
Good acclimatization, training, and endurance are key to reaching the summit. It’s essential to stay at altitude for at least a few days before, either in Zermatt or in the Mont Blanc Massif in huts at 3000 m to get proper acclimatization
Its also necessary to have some flexibility in case the weather forces us to move the ascent date. If you have more days, then it is also easier fto change the summit day in the short term, depending on the conditions.

You should know what grade 4 is and be able to climb it with a guide. As a general rule you should be able to do 300 meters of vertical gain per hour at altitude.
The reason we do the additional classic on previous trips such as Dent du Geant and Cosmiques Arete is to full bring you up to speed with your guide and what we expect from you to ensure a safe climb.
We can practice the techniques together before climbing the Eiger that we will b
