“The half marathon route was good. Firstly the delay in starting the race by 25 minutes made us run in the heat/ sun in the second half of half marathon. This was a problem and results in dehydration and heat stroke. Secondly, international races- the start is staggered- 21kms start first, then 10kms start maybe after 10minutes then 5kms after. Starting half marathon with other distance - crowd is a serious safety issues and can result in stampede because the other runners are slow and kids.”

“I enjoyed the actual run itself and the atmosphere of the Half Marathon with all the other participants - it is so wonderful that these opportunities are available in the Kingdom. HOWEVER the organisation of the event was seriously poor. 1: The race was not measured out correctly 12.08 KM not 21.1 KM! 2: 30 min delay to start 3: Race fee included a t-shirt....now the website event details have been updated to remove the reference to race T-shirts - so disappointing.”

“Few glitches were observed: 1) started 1/2 hr later than announced 2) no T-Shirt was distributed, as promised 3) unsafe running path, especially at the points of crossing roads (i.e. unstable blocks were used to go over pavements) 4) not enough medical assistance groups were present along the running path 5) not enough water distribution points along the path Maybe an unprofessional organizer was selected to organize the race, consider evaluating their qualifications. ”

For example, course was too short, only three toilets for all male participants, cars were on the course, some honking at runners to get them to move over; no nutrition offered, discount offered at the end and the people who signed up early still had to pay full price, bag drop listed but not provided, etc. ”

“All three categories 1 mile, 5k and 21K started at the same time was big mess, should have started separately. Race start delayed, rescheduled to 6:30 but then started at 6:25. Poor organization really. And no t-shirts was disappointing. ”

“- There were no t-shirts provided, even though it was mentioned while registration and sizes were already selected. - Race was delayed 25 minutes from the original starting time. - There was no ambulance driving by the track incase of an emergency. - Pavement was unbalanced and unsafe in both U-turns. - Unorganized water distribution and not enough water stations. - Gatorade was only provided for 21Km racers disregarding the 5Km and 1.6Km. ”

“I felt the organization was a bit below standard. The race was supposed to start at 6 but instead started@ 6:25. Also, there is no further information on the race stats, like race time and ranking. Usually, there should be a website that shows the time stat of each individual. when i asked the people whom were working with the organizer, they either didn't know or they said there are no information as such. ”

“The first thing: you open the registration with fee and later you reduced the fee and finally you made it for free. This is totally unprofessional and denotes little or no respect for those who registered first and had to pay for everyone else. This is exactly the opposite that serious race organizers do: a reduced early bird entry fee followed by increasingly expensive entry fee as you approach the race day. It will make people wait to register until the last minute next time. ”

“Good overall event, nice vibes and fun event, had so much fun Whats missing: - starting on time - more water stations - maybe music in some parts of the race - route was a bit boring between 8 to 14 km ”
