“Dubai Creek Striders are known for their reputation and they know exactly how to organize the event...it goes without saying that Dubai Creek Striders Club is more popular in UAE and everyone would love to associate with DCS in any form...Kudos to the DCS Half Marathon organizing committee. ”
“Please try to organize this HM a week (or two) before/after Abu Dhabi Marathon from 2020 onwards. this will be a great help to the running community who wishes to participate in both.”
“Excellent organising and route. If possible , start the race earlier by 5:30 so that the heat is bearable.”
“Wonderful event with amazing volunteers. ”
“Great on route support, cheering all the way with marshalls guiding all runners plus water station were strategically located.”
“This was my third year of JADCS half marathon and each year it keeps getting better. Amazingly scenic route , great crowd support and equally well managed run. The goody bag of this run is probably the best in the world, it is totally stuffed with some really useful things. Overall the organizers of the run truly understand a runner’s mindset and hence produce such a fantastic run year after year. Kudos to them. ”
“The race village was one of the best unique experiences that you can’t get in any other race. Fantastic effort by the organisers.”
“Race with runners heart and soul”
“One of the best Half Marathons Ive attended. the arrangements were flawless.”
“Dubai Creek Striders Half Marathon is my most favorite running event because it is organized by the runners for the runners. Organizers and volunteers cover every minute detail of the race from a runners point of view. The energy and support from Marshals throughout the route is amazing. Can't wait to run this in 2020....”
“The course along the Dubai creek takes us on an exotic voyage. Even nicer now that the city has completed the renovation of the creek shores. Such a great experience to run through the souk and through Al Seef.”
“Still one of the best racing events we have in the UAE. Great challenge, still a wonderful way to experience a different slice of Dubai. Excellent organisation. Only quibble is that a few more isotonic drinks out on the course would have been welcome.”
“Well organised, well supported and a course with some challenges. It is the most popular half marathon race in the middle east.”
“The best route and organisation from beginning to end.
Great people and venue, supportive volunteers along, with commendable efforts from the event organizers to reduce single use plastic.
Absolutely loved it ! Congratulations on another great event and Thank You Dubai Creek Striders for the lengths you go for the running community. ”
“My favourite half! 6th time I ran it and it never gets old or boring! Great community, organizers and volunteers! Thank you! ”

“Kudos to Dubai Creek Striders - they sure know how to put on a good race. Decent goody bag, scenic course with a few minor bridges & ramps thrown in for good measure to keep us honest, well positioned course marshals overall, esp at the Souq with its twists and turns, friendly & helpful DCS volunteers at bib pick-ups, well stocked water stations and an enjoyable race village after. I especially enjoyed trying the Icebaths! ”
“I love this racecourse and the people behind it..... It never fails to consistently deliver!
Special mention to the race marshals & volunteers for cheering us on... Helped a lot!
The start was very well managed and it definitely makes sense to have a staggered start even for the future!
The race village was a lot of fun and was perfect for hanging out after the run... (Missed the physios)
Suggestion: The medal could be made more simple but more classier for additional motivation!
Great Job Done!”
“As others have already mentioned - a fantastic race, along a beautiful course. Excellent organisation from both Premier Online and DCS, from pre race comms, race pack collection, through to race day itself. I ran with the 1:45 pace group and they were brilliant - getting me there on the projected time and beating last years time by 10 minutes- thanks very much! Only feedback would be regarding the T-Shirt, which certainly appears to be far inferior to the quality of last years T-shirt.”
“Best race I've done so far. Scenic route and so well organised!
Bag drop, toilets and start lines were all close by and marked by signs - didn't have to run around looking for these in the morning.
Thank you for the Vitamin Well drinks provided post-race, however, perhaps a different flavour would've been better suited - the one given had caffeine in it (Vitamin Well Prepare), which is better pre-race. This did a number on my stomach.
Other than that this race was amazing! Thank you so much!”
“The 1:30 pacer went with the elite wave, whereas all these runners should have been sub 1:30 runners. It would have been better for the 1:30 pacer to go at the front of the Red phase where there are people trying to make the 1:30 time and achieve a new PB.
As a result it left people with no pacers who where ahead on the 1:35 pacer.”
“Beautiful technical course, running along the creek alongside the fisherman and through the spice souk are particular highlights. Only piece of constructive feedback I can give is that a 1:30 pacer could have set off with the red group. Volunteers were absolutely amazing again, all knowledgeable about their responsibility whilst also being super cheerful and encouraging. LOVE this race and can’t wait for the next one.”

“Scenic route of Dubai. A lot of obstacles on course but that is what makes it more challenging and fun.”
“Particular praise for the marshals at KP6 and KP9.
Continues to be my highlight in the running calendar - a fabulous route.
Well done DCS.
p.s. perhaps a photo station out on the course? at KP11?
“Premier Online organized events are one of the best. Everything is just perfect. Timing of the race is always the best and photos are shared very quickly. I participated 8 time in JA DCS half marathon and looking forward to more not only this event but other events by premier online.
Giveaways are reducing year after year but doesn't matter but I suggest to include breakfast as it is nice to socialize with other athletes. This time after the many of them just left. Thanks again to entire team ”
“Great atmosphere, amazing marshals, pacers volunteers and even runners. Will definitely repeat this next year with spouse and friends. ”
“Shows the other events how it should I be done ”
“Super well organised, photos out a few hours later, great quality toilets and post shower facilities, beautiful route,... Just a great event organised by experienced runners!
Paper cups were very small, allowing 1 mouthful, not enough for 1 every 3km. Not clearly indicated who had water and who had isotonic drink.
10km runners going in the opposite direction + aidstation chaos made for quite some confusion at approx 17km at Garhoud bridge ”
“Once again, an excellent and fun race and event! Lovely route with great sights through the historic parts of Dubai. ”
“My favourite run, thank you, great job!”
“Excellent event: marvellous organisation, lovely course, friendly marshals, officials and a great vibe amongst all runners. One of the best events in Dubai!”
“My first half and I can’t imagine I could have enjoyed it more. Thanks so much!”
“Number of race marshals was great, I wasn’t lost for a second.
I would prefer a higher quality shirt instead of the medium quality bag and shirt.
The expo at the start/finish line was world class. ”
“I have not received an email for my race pack collection. My entry was done by a friend but this is no reason that I have not received my email of confirmation of entry, race pack collection.”
“Love DCS and appreciate the massive contribution of this club to the running scene in Dubai.
For next year, please plan the course, start time... etc for 10 Km runners in such a way that 10 km runners are not slowed down by 21 KM runners.
Today, we had to fight our way through the masses of slower batches of 21 km runners especially in narrow spaces on side walks and bridges. There were group of runners walking side by side and blocking our ability to run smoothly and safely.”

“I really like this event. Well done DCS. I have only two negative comments: 1)Breakfast should be included in the race fee as it always was. 2)The quality of the t shirt is very poor. I still have the branded ones that used to be in the goody bags. Otherwise a great event. See you all next year, if fit and well.”
“Favourite event of the year!”
“Your marshals really made the event. They were fab.”
“Perfectly organised .It was a fabulous event, all aspects of the race was very professionally done. Looking forward to participate in future.”
“Fantastic organization, encouraging and friendly Marshall’s and a brilliantly organized event”
“The fee charged for this event this year was exorbitant. Not all who love this sport can afford it.”
“A very professionally and thoughtfully organized event. The course marshals, water stops, direction markers was great. The race village was great. One of the best running evdnts I've attended. Kudos to the Dubai Creek Striders organizing committee.”
“Arrangement and services were world-class. Never seen before ”
“Very well organized event. I would like to participate in many more events in future. One suggestion - Want more water stations. The first one was close to 5k mark. Every 3 Kms would be perfect. Thanks everyone.”
“One of the best runs I have taken part so far.. ”
“Everything was well planned... I am so happy to have taken part of this race.”
“Tremendous event year on year. Very enjoyable to be part of it.
If was to be hyper critical - one area for improvement would be lighting just after the start and to the roundabout, very dark at the start time.
Otherwise congratulations to the organisers and team for putting on an excellent event again.
Fantastic breakfast, great atmosphere all round.”
Beautiful track and event as always .... excellent breakfast and my favorite event in the UAE
Rants: Where are the toilets? we stood in line forever for bathrooms before the race start. I barely managed to get to the HM start on time. 2 toilets only for male participants?
Rants: Was injured and needed a ride back. it would be nice if a marshal can give injured participants a ride to the start line. ”
“Very nice track, amazing atmosphere, excellent timing and photo service”
