“Race Kms are not well calculated as well as race course was so confused, Nothing was apart from water, late start, no communication and at the end Pictures are even taken but not posted yet so overall its not a very impressive event. Thank you”
“Having all races on course at once, with a tight, looping course at the start made for heavy congestion. Maybe running it in reverse, starting with the long stright past DIFC would have strung out the field a little more.”
“Starting time of the half marathon was too late. Should have been done prior 5 km and 10 km race.
missing mark for the km”
“For an inaugural there we bound to be issues, but given the number of half marathons in the u.a.e a bar is already set as what is to be expected from the organisers. Given that its still October leaving the 21km race to start after the 5km and 10km was ill advised, runners were left with little or so hydration with the sun n heat on the rise. Marshalling on the course could be better in advising runners on the final loop. Nutrition and some edibles like bananas are expected as well.”
“Started late, 21 km runner off last ... way too late at this time of year, a lots of Course Marshall’s missing by lap 4... finished 21km & NO water left ☹️. Probably ok for the fun runners doing 5-10km but massive improvements needed to be considered a seasonal “must do” . ”
“HM started after the other events- leading us to run in the heat of the day.
Only water- big bottles available on the course.
NO water or anything else available at the finish after the HM. Water at least but a banana or protein drink is really expected these days.
Given the event boxed in a few hotels - I had to dodge an angry driver who hit a volunteer in an effort to get to his hotel!
The number of U-turns on the course were bottle necks and harsh on the knees.”
“I ran the 10km, my wife ran the 5km. The event was perfectly well set up for those distances. Only quibbles are 1) lack of km markers, but OK, we can live without those, and 2) lack of age category prizes....come on, we paid a lot of money for this, other cheaper events manage it. Seems that the shortcomings were for the HM distance runners....lack of isotonic drink support and fruit at the end, poor marshalling, 4 laps on a hot, humid day. But sort those out and this could be a very good event.”

“1.run number collection was not easy (release marathon day early morning at the event location)
2.first start 21km
4.course problem(half course has to run 4 times same road)
“Not enough water stations on the course. No fruits at the end of the race.
“To increase number of water stations , provide runners with some fruits like banana and apple
Have more sponsors for energy drinks especially we run 21Km
T shirt material very poor quality ”
“I don’t know the reason why the half marathon group is the last one to took off? And the timing is a little bit late considering the weather. Also, is the distance accurate? It is not what it says on my gps watch and app. ”
“Race is a simple 5k loop around DIFC. If you sign up for the half marathon be prepared to see the same sights 4 times. Weather was warm and the race started late which made things worse. ”
“All was good, specially the route was interesting, well organized, would just recommend to start looking some recycling options to encourage people to bring or refill their own water, too much waste of plastic”
