“Organization could be better, overall good fun - Was exciting to see all the pink! Great ambience, good giveaways, unfortunately one of the many who haven't received the medal. One suggestion, keep the medal stand in a closed off/barricaded area with handing out of medals only after ticking the bib number (as was done with the smoothies). I have seen this at many events and ensures all registered participants get their medals. It could have been kept along the breakfast counter, that would have also ensured a smoother finish for the runners. ”

“Not enough resources for runners - When we registered they ran out of t-shirts, when we crossed the finish line they ran out of medals. The only thing we were able to receive was a cup with the banana smoothie (which was awesome). We paid ENTIRELY too much money (180each) not to be supplied with what we should have. “Had a good enjoyable race! - Generally well organised and a good event! There was just a bit of chaos at the end of the race when medals were handed out to people that did not compete and then competitors got nothing. Also, the unsplit finish makes it difficult for the fast 5km runners to finish in a good time as it was all mixed up. But I had a lot of fun, thank you!”

“Have a fall after 8km water station due to a step - Fell on both knees tripping over a step after 8km water station. The step was few hundred meters after the water station and I would suggest future event to move the water station to be after the step for safety reason. Could not find a first aid station after the event too. Also was not provided with medal as it ran out. Friend who recommends mentioned last year event was better. Still happy to participate for a good cause afterall.”

“A Good Fun Event - Great to see so many people - The first few hundred meters of the the course was very narrow and difficult for faster running to get around slower runners. This was particularly frustrating at the start of the 10K.”

Goody bag, medal, shirt, breakfast, free photo download...all included, well done Striders keep it up! Nice touch of free smoothie for the ladies. “Overall Great Event for a Great Cause - The pre-event communication was clear and concise. The overall event was extremely well-organized. There are no complaints about the organization, the event, the course, participants, or volunteers. Suggestions: the finish area was very congested - perhaps have separate areas for chip removal, water delivery, fruit stand, and medals. A more organized Finish might have prevented non-registered participants from obtaining medals, which resulted in the event running out of medals for runners.”

“Great event but bad signage day of - The run/event itself was great but was hard to find in the morning if you came from the other side of Zayed Sports City. At 6am, there were few volunteers showing the way to the tennis center. Directions were not clear. Many volunteers at the registration, maybe they should have been out helping with directions. Event started at 7:05, just as the sun came up, a 6:30 start would have been less hot. ”

“No medal for October 2015 ZSC 10k run - I complained about not receiving finisher's medal in last year's ZSC run. I heard about some who were not able to receive their medal in this event. I think some people are taking 10km medals for themselves. It could be 5km finishers or some volunteers. This is so disgusting and annoying!”

“Parking & medal organisation to improve - Parking marshalls kept directing late arrivers to lots that were already full. Once a lot is filled drivers should have been guided to other lots. Last year late finishers in the 10k run were given 5k medals. This year medals just ran out.”

“Fun course but may be hot towards the end - Flat asphalt course runs around the various parts of Zayed Sports City with a mix of trees and turns. Towards the end (around 8pm) it can become hot. Pre-race pack collection directions could be better (there are several "ticket offices" in ZSC)”

“Compact but interesting course - I'm not usually a fan of multi-lap events (10k is two laps of the 5k course). BUT this course is interesting enough that you don't really notice the whole lap thing. Support stations were great, with bottles of water handed out rather then the crappy cup things. The ONLY disappointment for me was the lack of medals at the end. It's my last running season in the UAE, so I'm all about the medals to add to my international event collection. I understand we'll get them, but...”

Disappointing finish experience - Great event has grown in runners & marketing to raise awareness :-) Finished within event time but run out of medal/winner's pack (arguably those who take longest achieve the most/would cherish medal more), queued for 10 mins for food bag of a muffin and croissant (not what I'd eat after a run?) and when I reached for the welcome drink ... was told it was just for ladies! Having paid full amount, would have appreciated receiving full package as my daughters always wait for the goodie bag :-(”
