“An average event. - There was no indication of categories when entering or even announced on the day until prizegiving actually happened. For the amount of entry fee money there was minimal "goodies" and the only prizes were medals/trophies. The event could be a very well run Family event. If there was food stalls, sponsors tents/giveaways/stalls in relation to swimming/triathlon. Spot prizes to those who have not won any placing prizes would also be a good incentive for the "joe-average" swimmer(entrant). Make them want to come back and not get put off by those who are swimmers and are always going to win.”

“Slick event, run on time, great - I maybe suffering from memory loss, but I think the race information came out a bit late, and i nearly had to miss the meeting because I had another engagement. Next time perhaps in the early race information, give a guestimate of the time. So the event info said 7am, and my race was 9.30am, and the detailed race pack was only available a week or so before. Not a big complaint - just a suggestion Well done, lovely atmosphere and friendly environment”

“Room for improvement but fun - Poor signage at entrance to event contradicting information in welcome email which also said see you Friday which was confusing. Didn't receive all of the goodies that I should have done as I wasn't made aware of them ZOGGS Voucher, Wet Bag etc. some competitors cut corners and were not penalised. Have been unable to find the results online as promised. I did, however, enjoy the event and will attend future events but just feel there are a few tweaks that would make it easier for first time competitors such as myself. Plenty of support in the water which was good. No jellyfish either! It was great you were able to accommodate all levels of swimmer and all ages! Well done :o)”

“Family Fun - I liked the fact that there were numerous distances for all capabilities, and even a fun sprint relay at the end. The mile swim was a good challenge, well marked and plenty of support from the lifeguards in their kayaks. After the swim though, there wasn't much keeping us there besides spectating. Perhaps the sponsors could have a couple of stations out next time, and some space for the kids to play, and perhaps a little kiosk selling coffee and sandwiches.”
