“Geart Event ...looking Forward Again ... - Was a great event ...and looking forward for a next one in April..but i wish next time we will start on time...because we started after 40 min from the real race time start...”

“Great race, but a few suggestions... - Loved the race as usual, but I preferred the heavier and longer sandbag section from before. These were too light and too short! 1KM on flat ground with a silly step-over in between... Surely you can do better to challenge us athletes! Also, go back to having cups at the water stations. Nobody drinks a full bottle and it's annoying to have to open them while running. Lastly, course should be marked better in the rocky wadi run area. Definitely enjoyed the greater number of obstacles though!”

“A Great Race with lots of Suprises - I used to run normal 10ks and Half Marathons, since moving to Dubai i have up'd my game racing in Triathlons, 92k Cycles and now I've found the best race of them all, i really enjoyed this race but i have some work ahead of me to try and beat my time for the next race. ”

“Worth the bruises the next day! - Sandbags too heavy! ”

“I think it was a great course! - I think the race course was great. The only suggestion I have is to be sure the water stations are after the obstacles, but right before ones. Also to conserve on resources the very small bottles of water are enough, no need for the larger ones.”

“This was a great race! - Only faults were when running through the rocky terrain it wasnt that well marked out and going down to the barbed wire crawl there was glass all the way down the slope. Would have appreciated more communication before the race since i wasnt entirely sure what was going on. A part from that loved the course and it was great fun!!”

“Great day - Marshalls/ lifeguards shouting how to do the obstacles was pretty annoying ”

“Really great event. Big thanks to the organisers. - A really well organised event for the UAE -- probably the best race event in terms of organisation I have participated in, in this region. Only 2 criticisms: 1. The chip handout was a little chaotic this time -- the girls with the envelopes / boxes didn't seem to understand what they were doing. Maybe this could be done at the table where you hand your waiver in? 2. There were a few diversions on the course -- I didn't use them but people I was there with said it was unclear where to go. ”

“Fun fun fun ... We had fun ... Again! - Thank you for another fun event at Wadi Adventure! Please give out water bottles AFTER the obstacles and not before. Having the buffet style food after the race was more fun and social. LOVE getting the food either way thou! Thank you for that! Enjoy getting the different colored WAR shirts! Keep up the different colors. Looking forward to seeing what is in the Goodie Bag next time. Not sure if you can trump curlers. We will be there for WAR9!”

“Bring on WAR9!!! - Love the race, wish I had heard about them right from teh beggining instead of just from WAR 7. The mud pit was fiendish!! Still need a little bit better marshalling of teh catagories for teh walk to the start line. A megaphone would help. The PA for teh briefing was great this time. Maybe could use it to help teh marshaling for teh walk to teh start. Only real concern is the lack of first aid assitance around the track. I did not have trouble but if I did I would want help there ASAP.”

“Great Challenge - There was no support/service at most of the stations. So if anyone falls or needs help, there was NO ONE around which is very bad for user experience. I will participate in the next one, however i appreciate if there is someone to help & guide at every station”

“Unfair gain for individuals who skipped obstacles - Overall a great event. two comments: It is not fair that individuals who can skip obstacles still win on time. There should be a category for individuals who actually completed all obstacles. -marking was unclear at the mountain area close to the sewer tunnel. Left vs. up the hill...”

“Loved the obstacles - Better having slightly lighter sandbags, waves being off were also helpful but easier, course felt longer this time ”

“Excellent - I thoroughly enjoyed this race, a lot more than the last W.A.R (which was WAR 5 I think). I thought the layout was a lot better and was pleased to find the sandbags lighter. Loved all the extra obstacles that were there - the more the better! My only recommendation would be to have obstacles that were slightly more challenging, or requiring skill, not just strength - perhaps like some of the obstacles from Tough Mudder or Ninja Warrior. Great race, thanks!”

“Size matters - Got some big folks and some little folks. 1- Need 2XL (by western standards) size shirts. 2- create a lane for woman who don't want help from people to get a step or a slightly lower wall etc. teamwork is great but not everyone wants the help and it slows the stations. 3- dedicated finish line photo for EVERYONE- make it an option to pay 4- more merchandise to buy, hats, tshirts etc. want to make money? Sell stuff that also serves as a billboard for your event. Loved it! Hated the pipes!”

“Great day out in the desert! - I had a great day with friends and have already signed up for the Wadi 9 Race. The track was pretty good but I had one main observation. I have completed a similar but tougher race in Ireland called Hell&Back. Before each group left for the starting point there was music, two personal trainers and an MC on a platform getting the crowd really energised and also doing stretches. It got everyone really into it and got the excitement building before we moved to the actual starting. We were pumped!!”

“Entertaining! - The first time I did this was a thriller. Looking back on even earlier ones, I feel as if the course became a little bit repetitive and was predictable and not-so-adventurous. The staff was kind, but having a few more, especially in between obstacles, would be great for motivation and for safety. ”

“Continuation of excellence - As always a well run event. Only criticisms are minor and do not in any way affect my enjoyment of the event or would make reconsider doing it time and time again. The track was signposted very precisely with much more detail than previous races. Agree with other feedback that using 300ml water bottles seems wasteful, buffet format for food is more social (the food was not great) and having a different colour lanyard for each race should continue.”

“Not great for second timers - The track was more or less exactly the same as last time. There was no water being given out before the race started. Big bottles were given out on the race itself which is not practical and also a waste. ”

“Hard, but a lot of fun - First time I have done anything like this and was very nervous at the start. However, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Would be nice if there had been an 8 somewhere on the medal, but other than that no complaints.”

“Brilliant fun again... see you all next time!!! - Once again a great event despite the prestart assurance of lighter sand bags! Well organised and well marshalled and great to see some new obstacles on the course. Giveaway was a bit weak [particularly given my running partner has no hair!], but a minor complaint. Would have been good to have free water station before the start of the race at the gathering area. That being said all good fun and looking forward to April!”

“Fantastic experience and looking forward to WAR9!! - This was my first experience at WAR8 and i had a fantastic time. After completing the race i was extremely exhausted but i know i gave it my all. For WAR9 I highly recommend to any new starter to train hard and control your diet. Bring on WAR9! Warrior Mo”

“Good day - Although my race has come up as DID NOT START i was there, had a good day and run. Liked the idea of the race food being handed out at the end, but took a while before it appeared, Id finished for more than 30 minutes by the time they started delivering it. ”

“Great event, friendly staff... - Once again, good overal race. Some areas for improvement, the food: organizers should go back to WAR3-6 buffet. That was awesome. The crowd: not sure why, but it seemed as though there were far less participants this time. The giveaways: gift bag was pretty light this time. Let's step it up for WAR9 guys. What was great: The obstacles: loved every one. Keep up the creativity. The mud pit was a good addition. The pace: I didn't get held up at obstacles. The staff, the music, water”

“Good and improving - WAR8 was even better than WAR7. A few noticeable adjustments (landing platform for monkey bars for example) made the experience more enjoyable than WAR7. Keep up the good work and see you in April.”

“Fun! - A fun but challenging course. I really appreciated the 'run' options at a couple of the obstacles. The quarter pipe obstacle near the end could probably have done with a 'run' option as well, as that one thwarted me and quite a few others. What I also love about this race is that other participants help each other along and it really does feel like a communal effort getting to the end and creates a very positive atmosphere. Great organization - cheers!”

“LOTS OF FUN - Really enjoyed this one, next time I would be prepared for the dusty cement run, it killed my chest, would wear a scarf. The food at the end wasn't exactly for vegetarians so we went without unfortunately ”

“Longer run next time - Well organised, good balance of water distribution, good food! The race would be longer, e.g 20k. Me as a long distance runner feels that the race end too soon ;) You guys did well, thank you. ”

“Great variation of obstacles - The sand bags should be lighter for woman. A lot of people are skipping obstacles and are not doing any detour, the organisation needs to be more strict about this.”

“An Addictive Adventure - This race was better than the last one for sure. The obstacles were more fun and not turning on the waves was a PLUS. The only downside I see was that the water bottles were too big, last year the small water bottles were more convenient. However, overall it was awesome.”

“Pretty freakin' tough; very addictive; I'm hooked! - I heard the sandbags were a bitch last time; so thanks for making them lighter! The only obstacle that you should consider omitting is the mud pit - I almost lost both my shoes on that one! That would have sucked. Overall really impressed with the organisation and see you at W.A.R. 9!”
