“Great Organized Event for all ages! - Very well organized! Applause to all the volunteers & marshals present supporting the athletes. Course was traffic free and wide. Timing and Results and Photos promptly available. Possibly keeping the run on the road would be better and provide fruits at the finish. Recommended for all ages from beginners to pros. Nice medal, towel and goody bag. Keep up the good work Race ME Events!”

“Great 1st event expereince with a few niggles - This was my first ever triathlon event, and it was a really good event, and a great experience. Pre-event communication - There were minor inconsistencies from race pack to info online Event facility - End of the event (the super tri), there was limited water and places for shade - Were there showers provided? If so, not much clear signage, if not, even an open shower would be great - The board where race numbers were put up could have been executed better with more signage Photos not out yet!”

“Re the photos - There were hundreds of pics taken and its takes a few days to edit and watermark. More than 500 pics can be found at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/odfot74aoybsgj9/AAARDxzukw6FxS31a7T_JrVoa?dl=0 An email is going out tonight to all entrants with photo link. No Showers - no source of running water sorry. All events had the same amount of shade with more than 10 marquees and 40 umbrellas in the Village.”

“Course needs some maintenance, a bit pricy - Great efforts from the organizers, however still need to maintain the course and adjust the price of participation.”

“Really enjoyed the event - I really like this event as the distances are really nice. I would like the marshalling to be clearer on the bike and even more on the run. The marshalls on the run did not appear very sure of where the 1k turn was and were not ready and thankfully my dad was there to ask the right questions and get the answer. As I was leading on both bike and run, clear marshalling is very important.”

“Great location, really nice event - Really enjoyed the location, particularly the swim. Leading on the bike, I was not sure where to give a turn as there was no marshal but I've been passed by an adult who knew where to turn. So if possible would be better to have a marshall at the turn point . Otherwise all great. thanks a lot.”

“Perfect! - Don't want to get too gushy here, but you guys really do put on great events. I have been participating in duathalon/triathlons for about a year now, the events are always so welcoming and briefings calm the nerves. Thanks guys for a great season and hope to see you next time!”

“Great venue, great event! - Fast course, beautiful venue! Beautiful, calm swim. Fast and flat bike course. A few potholes, but they were well-marked. The run was not very interesting, but flat and fast too. The ice sponges on the run were much appreciated! Lastly, the towel in the race pack was a nice change from the usual t-shirt. Looking forward to competing again, and my kids want to do the kids' tris next time too.”

“Well organized, friendly environment - Well, the long route to get to the venue is worth the drive, cause is a closed safe event with great support and friendly people. The course is fast and I don't care if the swim and run were a bit longer, it's for everyone the same so it doesn't really matter. Compared to the November race I liked better the one-loop swim (I hate the australian exit) but I prefered the paved track instead of gravel ”

“A Lovely event and will defo return - Both myself and my daughter had a really enjoyable morning, well done to the organisers. Just a couple of suggestions ...like with every event there are always a couple of keys marshalling stations which need special attention/strong person manning it...one of the key spots was as you transitioned out of bike and turn left onto the run course there were far too many spectators on the course itself. Also waiting over 2 hours for the presentations was far too long.”

“A great event despite timing problems - Fantastic location with calm water, flat course and so much parking space! Also the way to the event was perfectly marked. All my respect and thanks to the organizers, supporters and volunteers, special thanks to Chris and Andy. There was only this problem again with the timing. Though I was the first in my category and I knew this I was the last one on the provisional result list which meant that I had to watch how someone else got my trophy. This was very disappointing. ”

“Disappointing Event - Positives - Location was an experience and weather was perfect for Sprint distance. Great swim course. Toilet facilities were good. Plenty of parking. Race pack on bike rack is great. Negatives - very expensive and not as good value for money as rival companies (Super Sports). Race distances were significantly longer. Bike racking was tight. Rival companies provide results at the event after each race. Rivals publish more comprehensive results. Rivals provide food after the event. ”

“Great venue with great organization - I love this event and hope you guys keep making it. The only thing I'd check are the actual distances, I think they were a bit off this time. But what a great venue!”

“Enjoyable Ashurt Trifest - Volunteers were not vocal or visible at all times as required. Eg. Olympic bike turnaround point and lap turnaround point for run. ”

“Great event and location but very HOT! - The exit from transition for the run course was overlapping with spectators/finishers transiting the course. Weather is getting warmer so the event for Super Sprint and Kids Tiny Tri/ Teeny Tiny Tri should have started earlier. It was very hot so you can image what the kids might be going through. Parking and access to the transition for racking was better organized this time as compared to the last Tri-Fest. This is a great event & RACE ME and the volunteers did a commendable job in organizing.”

“Amazing triathlon - My best triathlon so far, the location was beautiful and made the triathlon even more enjoyable. The support stations on the run were ideally located and very efficient (water, bottle, sponge given). Marshalls were enthusiastic people and kept encouraging. Overall amazing atmosphere and such a pleasure racing there. Can't wait for next year !”

“Great event, Best Olympic Tri in Dubai - Loved the race its really well put together, the support is good and its hard to fault. The only small gripe I have is the colour of the boys being white can be a little tricky to see on the swim. I appreciate they're actually the brands colours so I don't imagine they can do much about it. Aside from that it's my favorite race. ”

“Great course, brilliant atmosphere - Well laid out course with everything accessible and easy to navigate. Would be great to have more food and drink options for starving athletes and supporters if possible. Well done for such an enjoyable and well organised event!”

“Bad distances/bad timings - Well... I may suggest next time you put the buoys right (not same place as your last half Iron Man) but the swim was the good part of the race. Road course was bad (not your fault, but still bad choice). Run,, why 11k? Like the transition wasn't out of the way enough? Sorry but at the end of the day wasn't even a cheap event and the feeling is it wasn't worth spending 400 dhs to partecipate.”

“Perfect way to end the season, thanks to RACE.ME. - This race's parking was better than the previous location. Swim was spectacular, bike route was great (flat and straight) and the run aid stations were well manned. ”

“A fantastic event - The best venue I have come across. Beautiful ocean, fast flat course. Ideal for beginner and experienced Tri athlete. I hope there are many more of these events in the future at this venue. This one gets full marks from me RaceMe. You outdid yourself, especially the split transitions according to race distance made racking and collecting of bikes so simple without disturbing the race. Great idea.”

“Was a fabulous venue, great way to finish season - Great to see all the age categories taking part particularly the little kids and Rio's race, very inspiring to all. Gorgeous swim circuit, added bonus to do a tad more swimming than expected :-) The only suggestion, and its only minor, is to have one or 2 more food trucks there. Thanks ME Team, awesome event, thanks!G”

“Very well done - Very good event much nicer than racing in Scotland where I race now. Only "problems" was the course distancing as the swim had an extra 500m on it (not that I'm complaining I enjoyed the swim) and the run measured an extra kilometre too (slightly complaining then as it just dragged on and on) Only other thing was the sprint people coming out of transition when Olympic was turning around- they didn't look and was just a bit dangerous”

“Excellent event, worth the drive! - The perfect swim conditions and closed roads for the bike and run definitely make the extra 10 minute drive worthwhile. The pre-event communication and ease of race kit collection were excellent. The pre-race briefings were very detailed and all questions answered. The course was really well marked and coned off. Water stations were well managed. Looking forward to the next one!”

“A brilliant day out - Myself & daughter took part & had a great day. Events started on time & run smoothly. kids races were friendly and encouraging. The OLY was a lot of fun as the bike was fast. The run was good albeit just slightly over distance. volunteers were fab. If run was routed closer to spectator area would add to it. For OLY due to time of day, buoys were hard to spot (white color) so sighting was tricky so brighter colored buoys would be better. Overall fantastic event”

“Absolutely best location - swim was spectacular! - This is definitely the best triathlon race location anywhere. Water is crystal clear and clean. It's a privilege to get the chance to swim here. Loved the event!”

“Overall disorganised and felt slapdash - I appreciate people putting on events like this; without them we couldn't enjoy sports like we do, so thanks. But feedback helps: swim course seemed much longer than it should've been, most marshals had no idea, especially the kids playing with direction lights with no instructions how to use them; very dangerous when it's pitch black and the road is mangled. Overall, it seemed most volunteers were doing their best, but with very little training/instruction. Could do with better roads & planning”

“Volunteers were sending runners on bike course - I was expecting this race to be in the same beautiful venue as the previous races. It was in the middle of nowhere with minimum shade for spectators. The swim was significantly longer than briefed. Coming out of T2 the volunteer sent me and several others along the bike route. The 2.5km run route turned into a 4.3km route which is no big deal except I missed winning my age group by 7 minutes even after the added distance. Overall the event was extremely disappointing. ”

“Absolutely terrible event - The event was poorly organised...the place was in the middle of nowhere and the google map pin sent did not take us to the actual place...transition zone extremely cramped and very little room to rack the bike....it was no clear where to go...poor areas for spectators, poor signage, kept being told this is a race area and to move...at the end of the race they ran out of water for all the people who finished the race...no after race refreshements/fruits apart from redbull.... terrible.”

“Great race - Great race the roads are sometimes in rough shape but it is well organized and really enjoyable. Like others on this forum we also struggled with bib numbers, especially since there is no reception at the course at all. It would be great if you posted them somewhere in transition to help those of us out that should have been better prepared. Otherwise tons of fun .”

“My son's first triathlon - Will definitely participate next time. Weather is quite hot at 10:30am (for teeny tiny tri). I particularly love the marshals cheering for my son all the way til the end. It gave him a boost to continue. Thanks for hosting this event, allowing floaters sidewheels for bike and any assistance the child need to finish the race. ”

Jonathan B. - 31.03.2017

“Great job - really enjoyed the event. - Positives - all the above- in particular the sponges saved my life! Negatives - I don't use Facebook and a lot (bib number for example) was communicated solely through that medium. More variety of food/drink at the end would have been great. I couldn't persuade my supporters to stand around for 90- 120 minutes in the heat to wait for the awards ceremony with so little for them to do which was a shame. ”

Comment from the Event Organizer - 31.03.2017
“Hi. A comprehensive final instruction email was sent to all entrants on Wednesday detailing where to find the bib numbers. We do this for all our events. It is also splashed across social media too. It's hard to entice more food and beverage vendors as if too many they won't come as business is diluted. Thx AF. ”

“We've come to expect fantastic - and it was! - A tiny suggestion - I admit I have a rather old, frayed race belt, but please could the holes in the race numbers be a little bigger to get the elastic through? Just hole punch size would be sufficient - I was able to borrow a screwdriver to get the elastic through this morning. I know there's a race belt in the race pack but it doesn't seem right to use a race belt once then throw it away because the ends are frayed? A tiny suggestion for an otherwise perfect race. Thanks guys!!”

Comment from the Event Organizer - 31.03.2017
“Here in lies the problem, when we have the blank paper bibs cut and punched, ready for printing, we need to make the hole not too big, otherwise the punched part of the hole messes with our hi-tec printer. We have been investigating ways to punch the holes after printing.”
