“Great to have closed roads but not very scenic.”
“Race ME guys were really supportive and answered all follow up questions leading to race including making me feel comfortable. ”
“The venue was in the middles of no where, but once there it took no time to get to the race village and racked. It took less time to leave and you didn't have to cross athletes to get in or out as it was a separate road. Sure would have been nice to have more spectators but I loved that venue...and it was a very fair course...took three newbies with me and they loved it.”

“Exelente organizacion, tal vez deberia haber señalizado el camino para llegar al triatlon, sobre todo por quer era de noche”
“Loved the towel, very nice addition. Great traffic free route with once again amazing organization. You set the bar high!”
“A minor thing, Not sure why the bother to post a pre race map with a lot of these events as they always end up being completely different on race day.
The event location was pretty far out there in the abyss. To say it was next to the jebel ali club in anyway was a gross overstatement. ”
“Overall the event was great, however there are some details to be adjusted.
-Swim: I understand the purpose of the swim shape to give spectators more view of athletes but it should be reshape in order to avoid athletes to run too much on the beach and overtake swimmers.
-Bike: It's an Olympic distance so why are time trials and aerobars allowed ?
In any world organization drafting on a road bike in OD is allowed not in Dubai, why ?
CHANGE THE FILIPINO allocated at traffic cones on her phone.”
“Super team , well organized and nice family atmosphere. Everyone made to feel part of a great day.”
more towels & less T-Shirts :)
“A bit of a hassle getting there but it was worth (maybe more detailed info about the location? I thought I was lost).
Good idea of an early start but commence the briefing in time to give the opportunity of a last minute toilet stop and some swimming warm up.
White buoys 300 mt apart at sunset were not really easy to spot: maybe put extra two in the middle?
Overall was an excellent experience ”
“Glad we were part of a convoy getting to the location, but good route / layout once there. Road for cycling was a bit lumpy in areas, but overall a good fun event. Thanks to all the Marshalls / helpers and the Master of Ceremony! ”
“Special mention to the route markings to the event - it's off the beaten track but great marshals and road markings made it very easy to find it”
“No taxis anywhere... miles from anywhere... super hard to find, you think your going to the edge of the world, no lighting in the dark. lucky a very nice man gave me and my bike a lift back to civilisation, I owe you bro x. very poor surface in places but well marshalled, not enough crowd support due to the location. i applaud the volunteers and organisers for working with what they were given but it could have been so much more ... location location location. ”
“Email timings as they don't show up on Premier Online, which is the site I registered through.”
“Had a blast at the race. Definitely a must do!”
“All the usual high quality you would expect from a Race ME event. Great new venue, with lots of potential.
Only issue was the confusion of finding the venue. Pitch black, no directions/signage and confusing directions in the race pack. ”
“A big well done to the RaceMe team, this event was the best I have attended.
Thanks to all the team”
“Very well organized! Applause to all the volunteers & marshals present supporting the athletes. Course was traffic free and wide. Timing and Results promptly available. Recommended for all ages from beginners to pros. Nice medal, shirt and goody bag. Keep up the good work Race ME Events!”
“No cars, no traffic. Just swimmers, bikers and runners. Just the way a triathlon event should be.
The roads had some potholes, which will hopefully be fixed before the next event.
Great volunteers an good set up as with all Race.Me events.”

“Quite a remote venue but great to have the closed routes for racing! There was some confusion at the Olympic swim start as I don't think the horn was loud enough and the route was diagonal to the first buoy, not the end of the world though. Another great event by Race ME!”
“Finally a new location for a Tri!! So the directions to the start weren't perfect in the dark, but you did send a map...I thought it was great to swim on that beach, not in the Mamzar pond. All away from traffic..fine a few potholes, but not the end of the world! Brilliant that the organisers could pull off getting that location from Nakheel. Great not being run over by cars while cycling. Well done. Always room for improvement but really good for a start! ”
“Please make it easier for people competing who are coming to watch to find the place - no sign posts - terrible roads to get there.
Also cycle route has some interesting pot holes/speed bumps in on the track.
Good all round event - pity about location. ”
“Credit to Race ME team for working hard on the day as always. However I feel that there may have been one too many events on the day and there was a lot of confusion at the start of the race. Especially with both of the duathlon races.
Triathlons seemed to be more organised.
“Thanks to the volunteers and race.me for this event”
“Felt the village was disjointed from the rest and not enough food stations”
“One cannot image the hard work and dedication with which RACE ME team has strived to put up this event in the middle of nowhere...very well organized and a great job! ”
“Very good organization and nice event for all the family.
Transition area well organized. Marshalling and volunteers up to the level.
“Very difficult venue to find in the dark and for families coming to cheer afterwards.
The event itself was really nice in a secluded area without problems with traffic and cars.
Great gifts from organization. Honestly I would cut the gifts and decrease the registration fee which I found high.
Swimming course for sprint felt longer than 750m
Overall great effort keep it up guys”
“Just a couple of pot holes on the bike leg, which would be nasty if hit at speed!”
“Fanastic event in a nice area, very friendly staff, great moderation, music and many supporters. Trophaes for the first three winners of every category is a very nice motivation! Except the running course which I personally found rather unspectacular everything was absolutely perfect.
“I really enjoyed the event. It was very well organized overall.
The only small concern was the route signage for the run. Because i am small, the marshall wanted me to cut it short and i had to insist so that he would let me run the 2.5km. Good I knew exactly the route otherwise i would have been cutting it short.
Also tee shirts are great but way to big for kids.
thanks for organizing it. I had lots of fun.”
“Just a little difficult to hear the PA system sometimes, probably my hard of hearing! A map of the 3 sections of the event posted on a board at the event itself would be really useful I think for all participants, just to get familiar with the course visually and I think this would compliment the audio instructions. ”
“Great event and well organised. If I have one thing to add is the swim course on the Sprint was a bit long, I know my sighting isn't great but not an extra 250m bad!! see you next year”
“Really well Organised event, really enjoyed it. The sprint swim seemed to be 920 meters instead of 750 meters. Other than that, it was great!”
“Great job of turning this desolate piece of desert into a top notch triathlon village.
A bit of confusion about the swim course for the first wave. Perhaps it could have been avoided by better graphic representation in the pre-race material. It was not clear from the briefing doc.
The bike course was good, under the circumstances and very well marshalled.
On the run, the volunteers at the aid station could have been a bit more attentive. I saw quite a few who did not get water as requested.”
“Fantastic start in my triathlon season in Dubai”
“Thank you for all your hard work!”
“We flight from France due to the cancellation of Nice Triathlon last October (following Terorisme attack July 14)
You make a wonderful job incredible place nearly on the middle of nowhere .
I hope that I will back for the next one.
Now time for skiing in mountain and back home.
Pascal from Serre Chevallier Valley (Ski resort)”
“Well done on another perfect Race ME Event. ”
“Thank you for a pleasant race and nice event.
Only a little remark, next time make sure the swim is 1500 and not 1750 :-))))))))”
“The event had quite a professional feel. Loved the red carpet in transition. Great flat traffic free course. Maybe a few more food vans next time. Overall really enjoyable. Huge well done to all involved!!!”
“1st experience and loved it. Well organised if not a little tricky to get to. Briefing's a little long winded but in good spirit. Good process from registration through to prompt timing results. My big concern was the positioning of the medical cover. As a medic myself I was concerned to see the lack of strategic cover. There should have been a presence on the beach and ambulances placed strategically along the bike and run course. Looking forward to the next event. Big thanks to all involved.”
“For a remote site and a bit tricky to get to the course was easy to run. The transition area was good of a good quality. Guys your verbal briefs are too long use a big picture or keep it simple.
Marshalls and volunteers were very good, kudos to the mum who was busy picking up cups that people were dropping in the aid stations.”
“I thought event was great - maybe a bit of a heads up that car park is actually quite a few minutes from jebel Ali hotel is my only comment
Thanks to all the team for such a good event ”
