“Good start but lots of room for improvement - So the event was cool, but here are some ideas for improvement: Better and more numerous marshals at zombie areas Better flag method - give each survivor 1 flag per zombie area to avoid confusion Provide COLD water and basic first aid at each station Ensure zombies don't move from station to station willy nilly Organize zombie groups better and before the event itself Ensure people who 'play rough' are given a warning and then kicked out of event - it is dangerous otherwise ”

“Good concept but some let downs - Great concept. Didn't receive email with start time as advertised. Not "8-10 obstacles" as advertised. No medals- just plastic lanyards- (huge disappointment-medals are important-they are momentos of Dubai and fun races). Zombies did not follow rules-took 2 flags at once, tackled,held people etc. Flags run out too quickly. Finish line wasn't clear. No pizza. Great deal for zombies, rip off for survivors.WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. Team sign up should be for more than 3 , and discount for teams. ”

“Epic - It was great and all but it wasnt fair for all of the 'zombie's' cuz most of the survivors will lose the flags at a certain point soo i think you guys should make checkpoints to refill flags and to reward survivals who didnt lose flags u should give them a medal or something a pin or a sticker even . at the checkpoints All flags = green 2 flags = yellow 1 flag = red Other than that this event was really great and i hope u guys keep on growing p.s please dont rise the prices the'r just grea”

“Overpriced, muddy & poorly organized! - Way too over priced 900Dhs for a team with no discount than individual price.. As zombie you pay only 50Dhs you get makeup done and pizza and have all the fun, many of whom do not know the rules & pushing people & rude No water stations at the finish line, nor pizza. No medal as falsely advertised! Course was not easy as stated, ruined running shoes in mud! What was money spent on? don't know, pure profit no charity.. Badly organized! Not recommended for next year's roaster!”

“Hope it's better next year! - The course was pretty bad and could use some work. There were way too many zombie and they weren't given very good instructions. You couldn't get out of the obstacles without them all over you. Additionally, it wasn't really fun to run after the first zombie's took everything. I'd probably do it again if they did it better.”

“Fun but disappointing obstacles and zombies. - It was a good laugh but the obstacles were average and the setting wasn't great, regularly getting dust in my eyes. It was also near impossible to finish with the way the zombies (who did not act like zombies at all) were clustered. So once all your flags were gone (by the half way mark) there was very little motivation to keep running and dodging zombies (who were only interested in grabbing flags, not acting like zombies - one sprinted after me for 100m to get my last flag). ”

“Two expensive. Not worth the money. - This could be something pretty cool, but it was obvious from the time I got there that it was poorly organized with no sponsors. It was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive. I won't do it next year unless it's it's more organized and under 200 AED.”

“Awesome! Being chased by zombies - Real good setup of the course with obstacles and Zombies chasing! The makeup of Zombies were all amazing and the Rescue team directing all through the course was very helpful. Looking forward to the next event.”

“Disorganised - It was good to see most everybody get into the Halloween spirit by dressing up, but the "Survivors"' lives were all taken by overly keen "Zombies" long before much of the unexciting 5K course could be completed, so there really wasn't much for "Zombie" chasers who were positioned farther down the course to do. Many Survivors were not impressed and had started to walk long before the end because there was no challenge left - makeshift flags were created along the way. No medals awarded. ”

“Brilliant first time event - will do it again - This was a fantastic event - well organised, good correspondence prior to the event, good organisation on the day with activities to keep the crowds occupied while getting everyone ready. I would suggest having more water available during the race as there was none that I was aware of. Overall very enjoyable event!”

“Why did I pay 300aed? - No signage on road. Put a google maps link to the event location as it is not the easiest place to find. Zombies were crazy. Zombies were sprinting after runners for 100+ meters. After 2.5km, no-one had tags. This left everyone discouraged, and the zombies on the last 2.5km were confused and had nothing to do. Next year tie zombies feet so they can only take 1/2 steps and not run. Shirt cost 40aed. Waist band 20aed. Laminated card 5aed. Running through empty desert. Why did I pay 300aed?”

“Awesome event - Instead of the survivors having just 3 flags, hopefully in the next event they should have up to 6. Because most of the survivors when they reached our area (zombie runners group 2) they have absolutely flags.”

“Although a few teething errors, very good fun! - Overall, my wife and I had a really good time! Lots of fun and very unique! Will do it again! However, there are some things i feel that the event could improve on. Maybe more opportunities to collect race packs. Some water handouts before the race would have been nice. If there were, some signs or announcements would be handy! Also, maybe runners could have been given an extra life after every km!! It was very difficult to go the whole race without loosing all your tags after the first km!!”

“Good fun, some organisational issues - Really fun concept and the organisers kept the backstory going throughout the race. Good mix of obstacles. The Zombies were well dressed up, some had made a brilliant effort with their costumes. the only problem was that there were too many for anyone to get out 'alive'. The pre-race communication was poor, finding out which 'wave' you were departing on was difficult as it was not posted up anywhere. A single poster would have helped, something I am sure will be done next time.”

“Fun event - I liked it, and think that the criticisms are missing the point: this was a relaxed, fun event, not a serious obstacle race. Chill out, people! But I do agree that the only way to survive was to cheat. The zombies were mostly good and fun, even if a couple were a little too competitive (and the one who grabbed two of my flags in one go). Credit to the organisers - it must have been a challenge to manage all participants, but they pulled it off pretty smoothly. Please do it again!”

“Fun Zombie obstacle but not actually a run - Good: the race started on time, pizza is GREAT. Organizers are good, participants are generally happy Bad: no water station for the zombies, got bored being on one spot waiting for survivors, THERE ARE NO MEDALS (how come) I used the after party pass instead. ”

“Bit over priced - It is impossible to survive unless you cheat. A bit over priced too. In my opinion, there's no need to register as zombies and pay since volunteers are there anyway. ”

“Horrible - I would say there were no obsticals but then I would be leaving out the parking barriers I had to jump over, but other than that NO obstacles, the "zombies" were very aggressive to the point where I had to get physical with them to get them to move on, I basically paid 300aed to run in sand that was littered with debris. Completely unacceptable. ”

“Great concept, but the organisation needs work - Start was disorganised and needed more thought and less hanging around to stop people wandering off, being a zombie was boring because by the end (where we were stationed) no one had any "lives" left. The concept is great and if you can get the organisation on the day together this has the potential to be a really great event”
