“Timing and marshall needs to be improved - The timing service was not done well, they need to get it right and the marshalling they need to lookout for areas on the course where runners can easily get lost and put there capable person to do the work right, when we run we have no time to think so the race director needs to reduce all the risks that can divert the athletes away from the course.”

“Needs Lots of Improvement - Organization should improve in terms of promised giveaways such as a non provided finisher T-Shirt and Goody bag contained discount coupons.. Race course was not very well designed for the 10 Km as there were lots of off road segments with sand and rocks. Race time should start earlier due to excessive heat that time of the year. Support stations could offer colder water bottles and have enough for all. Also no Photo Service although cameramen were present or photos not shared yet..”

“Absolute disaster - Utter chaos - should refund us! Poor organization, poor signage, no Fitness First warm up as promised, no bananas at the start, no water at start - the al bayan guys had not even got the water out the truck before the race or built their stand, sketchy guidance on the course, no water later on on course in hot conditions. If you are going to organise a 10km race and charge folk a load of dirhams then do it properly.”

“Total Scam!!!! - - It was the most disorganized event ever! Staff did not even know about the race pack and when asked about it each one of them would give me a different answer resulting and not providing the pack with the t-shirt at all! Everything was a completely disaster! They should refund our money in order to redeem themselves!”

“Mess - Its was more like a scam. they took money for what? i don't know. i didn't find water on 7km, i stopped 2 times because of it. please dont do this event. i am not expecting any improvement. “Huge room for improvement - Disappointing in the organisation of the event, specially for the prize giving. I got 2nd in the 10km in my age group, Finally with checking, I managed to get a medal, but noticed winners didn't get trophies, and there was so many on the table not handed out, (was I entitled to one?) and the envelope had a 50% discount for a massage! which wasn't even for the my category. Where was the promised prizes? But in saying this, try again, and hope you have more success in your next one you organise. ”

“Large room for improvement! - Needless to say that the event wasn't a success. The organizers did apologize for all the inconveniences caused due to their mismanagement. It appears that due to some technical glitch just before the start they couldn't get the microphone and the sound system working, which led to them not being able to deploy the race marshals on the course and then it all went downhill from there. I really hope they address all the issues they and the runners faced and come back with a much improved event.”

“Event was horrible and everyone got frustrated!!!! - Timing: started late, no clear instructions given before the race. water support stations: no water bottles available for first 20 mins from start of the race. Marshals: appreciate their support but they were not familiar with the route . Sign board: not clear, all runners were misguided on the track. Cars: Organisers were flying in the car on the race track , safety of the people was not in their mind and it was horrible. start/finish - event organisation is very poor. All got frustrated.”

“Be more professional - There is no hiding that this was a badly organised event and highlights how well run many of the other events are. The course was not marked enough and marshals not briefed. The leaders of the 10K went wrong, my daughter ran 6K in the 3K race aged 9. You cannot experiment on an event as a learning curve. Don't offer such high value prizes. It brings out the wrong spirit of these races. T-shirts, medals and some sports vouchers is enough. Runners do it for fun so respect that. ”

“It was great event By Imdaad runners - It was great event and i am faster runner and i got 4th position.i think instead of complaining we have to understand the situation because there was some technical issue while suddenly mike system not worked and also time management not support and make delayed to handed over result to organizer. Aprt from this we have to show sports man spirit and make honestly rating.Some competitor dos not like new commer join in this industry .but i would appriciate to Team Sports for their efforts.”

“Good course but very badly organised - Nothing went right to be honest and times and trophies were mixed .However,I managed to get the right course but I had to ask while I was running because I was very confused.Signs and marshalling were very poor.Then it carried on being more stressful with trophies and medals.I came first in the 3k but someone gave me 2nd for 10k! I managed to swap it but I shouldn't have had to really.Everything was chaotic and I didn't enjoy it at all to be honest.I'm not ever running in this race ever again.”

“Awful and Terrible organization - A. no direction to the race place b. numbers were mixed with others. c. race place was awful and track contained sand area d. start line was not clear. e. water supply was terrible and water was hot f. water supply team most of them were in their phones. g. no cheering at all. h. Ambulance was hidden :) i. there were cars driving so fast on the track. j. photo shooting guys were racing with the cars to take photos and cars were parker on the track. k. Terrible event.”

“Average event!!! - There were lots of confusion, 10 k was supposed to start at 7.00 and 3 k was to start at 7.30 but every one started at 7.00 and there was no organiser at the start and the finish. Water stations were good. and by the time i finished, there was no goddy bag left and there was no one to ask help for!!! ”

“Unorganized Event - We came to know about this event on 2 consecutive running events: Saucony 10km and Emirates Golf Half, when a lady came to us campaigning about it. She promised "we are making it even better." Compared to those 2 and other running events I have participated, this event was totally a mess! Water at the stations were too hot! And where is the warm up from Fitness 1st, photo download and BMI stand?!?”

“A lot of room for improvement guys! - NO WATER on the first 5Km – they had the trucks with water driving among the runners to get to the aid stations DURING the race to set up. No marshals, staff or proper signage – the first 15 athletes made a wrong turn (me included) where there was an intersection with 3 options and just one small sing out of sight. No bike marshal to guide the first place as well. Kids also got lost on the road, without water ... very, very bad !!! No shirts given and very simple medal.”

Thank you for trying, but you guys have given me a much better appreciation of what the other organisers go through to put together such an event. “Awful Support Station and Giveaways - The water at the support stations was really hot! Promised shirts were not there! ”

“The worst we've ever met so far - We have been to many events and we are very sorry to say that this is the most UNORGANIZED events we have ever met. There were no markings/sign boards or marshals on the track to guide the runners. Many runners lost their way and many 3K runners ran with 10K passing the finishing point. I've seen small children crying on the track. There were vehicles running on the same track on which small kids were running. The whole event turned out to be a mess & spoiled our weekend and the reg fee too”

“A complete shambles! - This race was a disgusting mess. One of the critical turns was unmarked and unmarshalled, despite being only a few hundred metres from the start-finish area. The lead runners from both 3K fun run and 10K kept going straight along the road for several extra kilometres, before realizing that they were off course. Some young children ended up running closer to 6K instead of 3, and were seen crying in distress. There was no water, and no effort by the race organizers to locate wayward runners.”

“What a let down - No signage to car parking, at last minute sign said straight on and we were told to turn right. Loud speaker guy was not understandable, no fitness warm up no route map... non inspiring run.. course route looked like it had been thought up last minute! “Poor communication - The communication prior to the event was poor and came in late the night before. No where did I find a bib number which I needed for registration. The directions were almost non existent and there was no signage. The pre build up was pitiful with a drummer making a racket and really not creating any excitement. The pre start announcements were garbled. The water was being delivered after the race started. At least it was plentiful and the only positive. ”

“Oh dear :-( - Thank you to all the organisers and volunteers who were involved in running this event. However, I don't really need to say much about how bad it was as most points have been covered. Just one more point, I was second in my age category for the 10k but, when I arrived home, I noticed the second place medal I had been given was for the 3k. I appreciate the email apology from the organiser and hope that a lesson has been learned for the future.”

“Lots of room for improvement - OK, the positive first.....for those of us who didn't get lost, it was a decent if unexciting run. But it was unacceptable to allow the leaders to get lost and also for water to be unavailable the first lap. The prize giving was unintelligible, and I'm sure prizes were being given to people who didn't properly win them. At registration, put the list of runners in alphabetical order so they can find their numbers easily. Who were the idiots bombing around the course in cars?!”

Many people struggled to reach the event location and the parking 2- water stations were empty the 1st lap 3- serious safety issues with many cars driving fast between the runners. Some of the cars were driven by the organizers as well! 4- sharp and sandy turns at the track 5- marshals were enough at the ene to guide the runners 6- no signs to distinguish the 3km ”

The 10km started first i was not passed during the first 4km but out of a group of around 30 only three of use turned right for an added U. “Poorly organised, poorly executed - While the pickup of the race number was very easy, it was nothing like what was explained in the instructions (where was the ankle race chip for example). Instructions for the start were inaudible. As for the idiots that drove their cars at high speed on the running track - well I near crapped myself when one car came thundering past no more that 1m away (headphone in so no idea that it was coming). Should have better started at 6am”

Course very boring, I have run a 10km at Meydan before and we ran round the race track......much better. Very dangerous with all the sharp turns, uneven paths and sandy bits. This race need huge improvements if they want to compete with other events in the region. ”

“Unsafe car driving on track - Unsafe driving by the marshals on the course track - he was driving why to fast and it didn't feel safe. Most runners wear hear plugs so they wont hear a car coming. ”

“Poorly organised awful event - Unmarked course. I was in the lead pack for 3k but got pushed by a runner at a sharp turn. I fell and sprained my ankle and there was no help even though my mum told the organisers to go & look for me when I didn't come back in my usual time. I limped my way back & tried to stop a buggy but the driver was on the phone & didn't stop. All along the course there was no one to guide. I saw a kid crying as he didn't know which way to go. Ran an extra k, Waste of a Friday morning. Never again! ”

“Waste of time - Run was bity. It felt like bits were added on to a run that wasn't long enough. Could not understand any announcements. Organiser said no water stops when we asked. No map of route pre race. All felt very last minute. No timings available. No marshals or water as we ran out. Waste of time and money. Very disappointed. ”

“Good event , needs to improve in the preparation - Good event, but needs to improve in the pre-race preparations and briefing. It was not possible to understand the organizer during the preparation of the race, because audio system was not set up. Also the race should have started earlier than 7am, it was too hot by mid race which can be dangerous due to heat exhaustion and rapid dehydration. Water stations were not ready and the bottles were already warm by the time racers received them. ”
