“Badly Organised and miss managed - Course route selection was very bad, running on uneven pavement and aid station running out of water mid way is unimaginable. there was no veg refreshment option at all. overall feel of the event was sad as if it was organised for a formality. Khareef is an amazing weather for this event and you guys can do much better. May be next time. ”

“Enjoyed the run.... - Enjoyed the run with nice weather. The aid stations were good. Photo coverage was very bad compare to my previous events... my self and my friend no where captured either at finishing line or mid way. ”

“A nice event! - This was a well run & friendly event which catered for runners of all abilities. Everything went smoothly, I felt safe on the road, event pack collection was easy, the communication was good and the little festival at the end was nice! My only complaint is that I believe the water stations ran out of water for the slower runners, the course wasn't quite 13.1 miles and I feel that at 30 rials per entry it is very overpriced. 20 OMR would have been sufficient. That said I will be back next year!”

“A fun run! - Running out of water was not the best in humid conditions and smaller bottles would have been better. Can't blame the marshalls, all support did a great job and the traffic control was really good. ”

“Intimate race - With only 97 participants it was the smallest race I have taken part in but thoroughly enjoyed it. Only critisism would be signage to the event, it looked like a ghost town and we almost turned away thinking the event was cancelled. ”

“Disapointed - Hi guys just a few points 1. No water at the water stations. Coke is not accepted as an energy drink normally. 2. The path was pathetic as we did a majority of our run on a footpath which was uneven. This can lead to a lot of unneccary injuries and cramps. 3. For OMR 30 (which is much more than a global event), I did not see photos at the finish/ course, no water, only a hand band, shirt and a good medal. This was definately not worth the money you have given.”

“Overall a great experience - This was my first half marathon, Salalah is a great place to run, great scenery, nice weather, although humidity & drizzles made it a bit less nice, The race course was changed a bit at the end, without notice, and the signs suddenly became less available at the last 4km, which confused me a bit, and even the contestant in front me lost her way for 50m then had to stop & confirm the way before coming back! Aid stations were great, available every 2.5km, and had cokes in addition to the water.”

“Not worth it - I had high expectations for this race, but it was very far away from what I imagined. The route was a dull, boring out-and-back way mainly along the main road, with nothing interesting for the runners to focus on. There were no crowds. The race was short (20.5 km on most GPS watches). Water ran out in aid stations. It could pass as a 'by the way' race, but for any serious PB attempt, it is simply a bad call. The weather is too humid in this period for such attempts. ”

“Well organised and managed - A small half marathon race that should attract more people. Run is on closed roads/ paths and is extremely friendly. Great race in the Gulf for August. Recommend”

“Overall a great day! - Was nice to see experienced runners alongside first timers like me with everyone cheering everybody else on no matter their ability. Course details and location and timings etc could have been communicated a little sooner and also I think the actual course was changed from the map that we were sent. We were given t shirts and hot food upon finishing which was great and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Also the race staff and volunteers were helpful and supportive.”

“Very poorly organized - The race was poorly organized and the water stations ran out of water by the 12th km , these people need to understand that we put our training to test here and conditions like these affect a lot on our performance, as confidence in tri me i hope they would do a better job In managing such an events”
