“Great as usual...but size starting to impact - Awesome stuff...great organisation, super volunteers...having done many of RNMT's the 'family' atmosphere draws more and more participants ...which is now seeing some impacts. 2 that I noticed was time gaps between waves re swim leg...you had best swimmers catching up to the other groups then with 2 laps often you had three groups together....daunting for the novice I'd imagine. Then the transition area...squeezing all us in meant very little room between bikes..volume v space conundrum :-) ”

“Thank you RACE ME! Awesome event! - Hi Guys, For the last wave swimming -Super Sprint- better to leave a bit bigger gap to avoid traffic with Sprint guys' 2nd lap. It wasn't a problem for me but for many beginners yes. It was a proper fight there. I enjoyed it though... Old times. Hehe. “Great event and a fitting tribute but needs tweaks - Great atmosphere and has developed really well as a landmark event in the calendar. Lots to enjoy and the team has done a great job - well done and a very fitting tribute. But popularity has its price and the starts need to be broken up - rolling starts or split the big waves in 2-3 groups if possible. It’s also on the pricey side (but I guess that is venue and breakfast). ”

“Swim wave start to be broken down - I’d suggest to break down the swim wave start by 5 -10 Athletes each 10 sec as IM70.3 event. As the swim was congested with full of swimmers fighting against each other for the first 50 meters or so. If this can be done without extra cost on the organizer, it may be worth trying next year.”

The swim felt it got quite crowded with waves going out in 6 minutes intervals (I think the JLL ones might be 10 mins apart but I could be wrong?) but on the plus side it means that everyone gets to complete their race closer together which I appreciate and understand. ”

“Fantastic early-season event - - smooth and no-non-sense organisation - good atmosphere - professional organisation on the track - amazing breakfast only big minus point: the speed humps. I know, not your choice and fault, but they are seriously dangerous plus damage the bikes. one thing you should fix is to mark them in BOTH directions, not just on the way out from the hotel. I got taken out by one badly visible one almost 2x.”
