“Good experience for my first race - I wish we'd had more forewarning about what to expect on the beach. We didn't know what type of sand we'd be running in or whether shoes were recommended or not. There were lots of areas with sharp rocks and shells which made it a bit dangerous for running barefoot, but you didn't know that until you got there. ”

“Great Event for a Great Cause - Really nice community event that the whole family can do. The sand run is tough but a great challenge & you cannot beat swimming the waters at Saadiyat. Really well organised & a great way to kick off the new season. Loved the muffins, water & juices. Only things that I can think of that would help improve it is perhaps some simple medals for the kids & I loved the pink singlet but even the xs was really big. Well done to the organisers for a fantastic morning and thanks to the volunteers :o)”

Handing out water for the finishers and especially for the kids, who had to run under hotter conditions, was missed and would have made it a nearly perfect event. The cjuices, muffins, etc... were great. Great event !”

“Nice - Enjoyed the race, very smooth organisation - relaxed but professionally done. The course was tough (but I think that is a good thing) although I would have liked to have had taller buoys in the water. Loved the yogurts at the end but would have liked a medal to go with it ... I bumped into a lady who was handing out water on my way into the sea - if that was you I am very sorry I was focusing on the transition to swim. Race supporters are awesome!”
