“Nice event & course but still weak organisation - I decided this year to go for the half marathon as the organisation of the marathon last year was catastrophic. I can say that it's much better to go in this event for shorter distances than the long ones. The organisation remains acceptable only for 2 hours, as when the short distances are finished, nothing is left for the full marathoners. The pre-event communication was scarce and unprofessional, I received a rude email from the organizer just before the event.”

“Should allow timing chip to be picked up day b4 - 1. Should not allow kids to accompany their parents on rollerblades. If they do, then the marshalls should ask them to stay on the right side of the lane and NOT in the middle 2. Allow timing chip to be collected the day before 3. T shirts should given out at end of race with medals. ”

“Nice event, bib pick up should be better - Bib collection should be improved, start was delayed because of this. Also the starting procedure was confusing. Lastly the finish area / U-turns were confusing for a lot of runners, with them not knowing where to go when close to the finish. Maybe adjustment in course could help resolve this. Overall a nice running even in Doha!”

“Good but again same mistakes again - Thanks for organizing this event. Couple of things: -Don't leave till last minute to confirm the date of the event, some athletes will need few months to train for longer distance (Half or full Marathon) -You need to open the bib/package collection a day before the event, we had to stay in queue for more than 30 minutes.”

“Awesome - This year I think it's more organized as the Shirts were already given during the receiving of Bib however there's no bags given unlike last year. The medal was good as it's now showing the distance you registered for, the only thing it's not presented in the finished line. Only, one thing.. Professional athlete must have their own category as it's impossible to beat them compared to us who are just an amateur. Winners must be based as well per age group, per category”

“No photos of individual runners - Ooredoo does not have the technology to let individual runners download their photos? Where were your photographers? The race started late. The course of the race was repetitive; could make it better in the future. The marshalls were efficient. There were no proper signages to find out things at the venue. The event must be opened for registration 3 months before the race day; it will invite more participants. Also, if the fee is reduced a little, this will also encourage more people to join in.”

“Nice event - The event was not well advertised. I kept looking on premieronline because I knew that it was coming each year... Pack collection was faster that what we though when we arrived and saw the huge waiting line.. We were not really able to see the start... But otherwise the race was very good! “Better event management required. - Delayed start. Poor warm up session. The race started 10 minutes late. After the runners started to run, then they were abruptly asked to stop just for the officials to shoot a gun. Breakfast volunteers were very mean and we're commenting on the tired runners. ”

“Good but can be improved - Overall the race was well done. However something should really be done about the bib collection. We waited 30 minutes in line and my pack was given to me open and without pins to attach the bib to my shirt. I waited until just before the start of the race for the organizers to find extra pins. This was a very stressful start. Also we found the quality of the shirts to be quite poor. Otherwise though everything went smoothly and we enjoyed the event. ”

“Decent race, has some issues - I wish the route was more varied; back and forth on the Corniche gets old very quickly. Also, the race pack collection was hopelessly understaffed and disorganized, resulting in major delays. On the plus side, toilet facilities were very well done, and the shirts and medals were good (shirts show the date, medals show the distance). Volunteers were very friendly. ”
