“Fun Race but Not Well Organized Event - The run itself is fun and challenging. But the organization is really below standard: water stations were not properly set up, shuffle buses were not provided in time, timechip distributing was a bit mess, delayed start of the race, race timing was recorded by finish time but not individual timing, extra payment was requested for breakfast but it was mentioned included while signing up. My timing was not on the result list. It's been over a week now after my complaint, it's still not solved.”

“A great challenge - I loved this event, but the distance was short by over a km, perhaps best if started further down in park. T-shirts I felt should of been handed out at top, as I had to carry mine. Unless you wore a watch you would not have known your finishing time as no results ever sent out. ”

“Fantastic race setting, but terrible organisation. - The race was an excellent challenge in a beautiful setting. I would definitely recommend it on that basis. Unfortunately, the race organisation was awful from start to finish. Slow and disorganised with the handing out of tshirts and race timings chips. Race start delayed due to this. Water stations were an absolute mess. No transport from the finish area or from the hotel as promised and paid for. Ran out of the breakfast food which was part of the paid entry fee. ”

“Disorganized start and first water stop - Thanks for setting up the event. I enjoyed. Two areas for improvement...the start was 30 minutes late due to an unorganized and inefficient handing out of chips and T-shirts. This should have all been organized prior to people showing up. (For instance...put the T-shirt and the chip in a bag with the runner's number. Have the numbers lined up, where people can quickly grab them instead of waiting in line for over 25 minutes. The first water stop ran out of water...bad deal for the last half”

“Great course but terrible organisation - What a shame: this race was badly organised from the start: 1) race number collection was so disorganised the start had to be delayed 2) aid stations ran out of water (this is easy to get right!) 3) roads were NOT closed as we were told they would be 4) no transport from finish or hotel back to start which we were told was included in entry cost 5) no breakfast at Mercure; which we were told was included in entry cost ”

“Thank you for the Organisation - Hello, First of all thank you for the Event Organization. It was tough but good challenge. checked and enjoyed the Endurance level. However, I did not like the below things at all; 1. The T-shirt provided was of Cotton. How anyone can sustain in the windy weather plus excessive sweating due to the 11.5 k Run ? It should have been a Quick dry T-shirt. 2. The medal provided was of Cheap quality. ( The cheapest Medal I have ever seen). 3. The Free refreshments provided was not enough.”

“Great views - friendly crowd - My friend and I have been lucky to have had no problems with water, meeting new running mates who have kindly offered us a lift, and did not mind at all paying AED50 for the super breakfast. I am sure the organisers will take it all on board and will improve, we look forward to the next year. Thank you for bringing the challenge to us!”

“Good event vanue, not well organized - The event/challenge itself is great. Appreciate if they have distributed the timing chips and t-shirts little efficiently, if there is a starting line with timing mat, and if the timing are displayed in absolute value rather than finish line crossing time. Anyway, this was the first event of this kind, hope the organizers learned something from this and will make a better job in future. ”

“Great Challenge, organisation needs improvement - Very nice challenge, I would like to attend again next year. The organisation can be improved, but I appreciate their great efforts. Room for improvement: proper start line, better water stations, race results not based on moment of time when you finish but in actual duration time of your race. But the run was amazing: nice weather conditions and its great to run uphill while the sun rises on the horizon. ”

“good event but could be more organized - I was lucky to get the free breakfast at the buffet like stated in the registration email and got a ride back down quite fast but it wasn't the case for over 90% of the other participants. A bus shuttle would be ideal from top to bottom of the mountain (2 ways) for spectators to be able to see the arrival. About the breakfast, there was a lot of confusion. During the registration it was clearly stated that it would be provided, but only coffee was served. but the race itself was great.”

“great course marred by unprofessional organisation - Race pack collection was really tardy due to which the event was delayed by half an hour. Horrible communication from the organisers to the spectators/supporters about pick up and drop off to the finish line back. Not enough support vehicles to help participants commute back to the start. ”

“Great Challenge - Poor Organisation and Support - The challenge itself was great in itself being the run up Jebel Hafeet but the organisation was beyond poor. There was no start line set up, the race collection was disorganised, started 30 mins late, water stations empty for later runners, there were no shuttle busses and so, people had to walk 2 kms to the hotel before realising that no bus would take them down the hill. Thankfully, everyone managed to car pool and grab lifts down. There was also no provided breakfast as promised in booking.”

“Tremendous location, organisation a bit patchy - No marking for the start line or distance markers. Course rule to run on right side of road was widely disregarded so most people ran a series of short cuts. The views were tremendous and the road surface is uniformly good. Ad hoc shuttling of runners back to start or to hotel after the end of the race was enthusiastic but a bit disorganised.”

“Jebal was a challenge, so was getting back to car! - Great online pre registration, very nice people working event. Good and understanding crowd. But several small things took away from the pleasing outcome. The start line was not indicated well, the Race started late. The water stations were empty mid group. But when I was able to make it to a station with water the folks staffing were great. Shuttle bus, promised in the online description was never seem.”

“There’s always a room for improvement - The past 3 runs on Jebel Hafeet, there’s no registration, medal and shirt. I participated so atleast I can have a record running in Jebel Hafeet. Sadly the water stations provide waters only on the first runners so I drink whatever I see on concrete barriers. Also on the description on the registration, it’s said that free breakfast in Mercure. They provided only coffee and juice. They even run out of puddings for the last runners. And you have to pay 50 for a decent breakfast.”

They promised to provide transport back to ground level and we did not get that We ended up walking for 10km which was very hard for runners. They told breakfast is included and it only contained coffee n tea. Other Breakfast served at mercurt hotel was charged. Over all not at all upto standards. Will never do this run again☹️☹️”

“Pretty challenging - Great course especially for here in the UAE. The only issues noted was they said there would be portable bathrooms (there were none) and the transportation back to the starting point was not available for at least an hour after the race. A shuttle/van would have been more appropriate then Jeeps.”
