“Well organised, but not enough water stations - It would have been good to have had a water station at the top of the climb into Masafi. The Police helped me by going off to find a bottle. On the way down, I had to stop at a shop to buy more liquids, as the stalls were not set up before the start time, and I couldn’t buy gels.”

“Well organized - Great event, nice to ride a new part of the UAE in an organized race. Good choice of route, not too difficult but also not too hard. It was a good idea to have the start behind a safety car at first. Thanks to the organizers, I can see they put a lot of effort into this event”

“Good event for a first time - Pre-event communications could be improved, the race pack pickup timing were not communicated until the last minute. I think a cheaper registration option without jersey would have drown more people in. Overall very nice event on new roads!”

“Great location but below average organisation - The lack of a water/hydration or feed station at the top of the 2nd climb was a big surprise and very poor organisation. It left me with no water for the rest of the route as the only water station had run out by the time I arrived on the return leg. It was also in a very bad position and meant I was unable to take any water at the first passing. ”

“Safety - The event was well managed apart from aspect, water, the water stations ran out of water, with the delayed start and the rising heat this was a very big fail and issue, particular for those at the back of the field. This really needs to be addressed going forwards. Thanks Jason ”

“Hot as expected towards the end - Police done an amazing job securing the road. The course was hilly enough and the descents worth the climb. Too bad the hot season is aproaching and it gets a bot hot towards the end of the race.”

“My first race! - Overall I thought the event was very good. Especially for my first race. The start being delayed definitely was frustrating. Being at the end of the race I can honestly say the marshals and police did a phenomenal job. The marshals were there for almost 4 hours which is commendable and the police were there the entire time ensuring that impatient traffickers kept their distance to ensure our safety. The jersey was a great touch and would love to see more events offer something like that. Thanks ”

“A great course but terrible organisation - Whilst the route itself was amazing the event planning was not up to standard. Zero signage both for getting to the start and on the route itself. The start itself was a farce and delayed by 30 mins. Poor planning and execution of road closures, having huge trucks 100cm from you is not ideal. The biggest issue i have though and considering the high temperatures on the day was the water stations running out of water was totally unacceptable and could have had serious consequences.”

“Great Event and Course - Great event, very organized. Fujairah police are very helpful and no. 1 in safety management. Improvements: 1. accuracy in jersey distribition. Me and my friends did not get the correct size. Not sure if its because of the organizer or premiereonline was unable to relay the sizing data to the organizer. The jersey is a great marketing tool for future events and if the cyclist will not ever use the jersey due to wrong size, thats lost oppotunity. 2.Water station at the peak, course turning point.”

“Pricey but a fun event - Great job overall. More racing events need to be on the calendar next year in fujairah. For an inaugural event, it was well planned, marshaling was excellent. Not much police present on the roads to Masafi. Overall I would do it again”
