“Good organization - Everything could have gone 100%. I would advise the organizers to recruit more supervising riders to keep the pace slower next time.”

“Great challenge, unfortunately sad as well - To finish the 206KM ride was a major accomplishment and well done to all. Very sad to lose a cyclist. I understand the cyclist was not at fault in this case but will raise the disappointment in seeing how many cyclists did not keep right of the middle line at ALL times. With so many people shouting to keep in "Two's" and "Keep Right" I don't understand why people don't listen. Wish the organizers had a way to remove these people during the ride for the safety of others. Hotel was GREAT.”

BBQ great, bus to Dubai good, divide/create group options from the start as not all guys are going at 40 before or after the hills, so let riders choose which speed they are comfy beside the mountains - perhaps 3 groups 33, 35, 38 average before and after mountains...give away, push the price another 50 aed and arrange a little token/gift/medal to remember that day ”

“A great event on a tragic day - The event was a definite challenge and was very well organized, though having water at Kalba would have been helpful. Also, it would be nice to give the general ride volunteers arm bands in order to distinguish them from private support. Thank you for putting on this event. Also, I was saddened greatly by the loss of one of the riders in my group. The organizers have no fault in the poor decisions and unfortunate events that unfolded. A true tragedy... ”

“Great event, but somewhat risky - Wonderful biking day out with enthusiastic riders and marshalls. Sadly 1 cycling fatality on the route, which is 1 death too many. Add to that previous death(s) in earlier years. My view is that the organisers need to clearly highlight that this is a dangerous and potentially fatal day out and let riders decide for themselves if it's worth it. There is a history now, so it's more than just a matter of legal disclaimers and keeping to road rules!”
