“My expectation was much more than I found... - Poor medals, no t-shirts, trucks working at the same street with the runners, laps full of gravel. These are only some of issues faced by runners. ”

“Please spend some thing on medals - Athletes like me participate in events just to have a completion medal as honor of completion and if the medals are like we got in this race then we can go to bur dubai or satwa to purchase such medal of 5 dirhams get a print out of paper written ASICS on that and stick on the back of medal. For heaven sake,this even is in Dubai....please. Plus time and again organizer used the name of Meydan hotel and till morning of event front desk of Meydan hotel was not familiar with the event..pathetic.”

“An Event Ran as a Series - There could be trophies for winners instead of medals, and a good T-Shirt like other races. Series winners should have trophies instead of medals too! This is a series however and competitors can follow their points on the website while training to improve through each event. ”

“Nice race but poor track - In comparison in another course in europe, I think it could be more prepared...Lockers, free juices and food (may be trough more sponsors )...”

“Awesome - I have 1 suggestion they should give a trophy for all the catagories. it will be more encouragement to kids this is the 1st time my daughter has participated and she won 2nd place she got a medal but if it is a trophy it will add more value”

“Dusty track with construction and bad signage - The track was a concrete lap that was cracked and full of gravel. It was boring at best but more than that, it was a miserable place to run. There was construction happening in the area so it was dusty and large work trucks were driving by kicking up dust and exhaust. The lap wasn't well marked, the environment was very energizing. I probably won't do another race at Meydan. ”

“Easy morning run with a group - Very well done on the first race for the series and thank you for organizing. One suggestion would be not to have cups with water at water station, i find it very unhygienic and uncomfortable to use whilst running. Rather have small plastic water bags. 150 AEU is also a lot to pay for what we got really, especially if you want to take part in all of the events Dubai offer during the season. ”

“Not happy. Did 8km. But timed for 4km ! - Not happy when I reviewed my results online. I ran 8km and entered and payed for 8km but was assessed as doing 4km and third from last ! How can this be messed up ! I was also disappointed to not get a souvenir tshirt of the event !”

“Good family run - Trucks using the track and industrial smoke are major detractions. ”

“Empty - There were other 3 events on the same day, so it was very empty. The whole thing should be rescheduled.”

“Not worth 150aed - Event is run through a construction site. For 150aed there is not much value. The 25% discount voucher given was useless as the store prices were lower for purchases without the voucher”

“Enjoyable event - Great event. Only issues, as already mentioned by others, rough ground in places, construction traffic and no 'live results'. Looking forward to the next one.”

“Can't wait for the next one - Maybe change the cups at water stations to those plastic little bags, its easier to drink from while running, otherwise great, loved it that families can take part, not to crowded. ”

“A good basic event. - This was my first race, and overall I was fairly pleased with the way it was organised. A couple of observations: (1) I was quite surprised that there were moving vehicles on the course, including a large construction truck at one point. I thought the roads would be closed, particularly as children were racing. (2) The results came onto the website later in the day, which I was also a bit disappointed about, as in the pre-race information it mentioned that there would be 'live results'. ”

“Improved since last season - This race was much better than last years events in terms of organisation. Yes, the course is dull, but it's still a fun way to spend a Friday morning. Construction vehicles should not be on the course whilst the race is in progress however, especially since there were young children running.”

“Nice family friendly / social event - An enjoyable 1st event of the series in a nice and relaxed environment. The only grumble was due to all the roadworks particularly on the outward section there was a lot of sand / loose stones on the road so you had to be extremely careful with your footing in places. ”

“Good race, but presented results should be correct - Race was well organized but result service should be improved. Winning the 8k open categorie and being presented with third place trophy does not give a good feeling (even if it was corrected after the price giving). Further when the results were publisheed the corrections have not been considered!”

“Not so good - It felt like it was thrown together at the last minute. I have done a number of races in Dubai over the last twelve months and this unfortunately was the worst.”

“Course ... - Course had a slow moving tanker suffocating diesel smell and cars & trucks were going back and forth and across the track, sewage smell near the start and finish and chemical smell from the nearby construction. If we have no control over the nearby construction to pause for an hour I do recommend another venue. Regards, ”
