““Great first ABraS of the season! - New this year was the layout of the course. Great job to all the volunteers and marshals on the course supporting the runners. Course a bit challenging at times but nicely shaded by the greenery and tall Marina buildings. Great event giveaways and nice medal. Overall good communications and punctual agenda (briefing, results, giveaways). Keep up the good job ABRaS!”

“Great race, excellent inter-club spirit - Pre-event communications were very clear, on the day race pack collection was great, ample water stations & marshals, clear KM signs, results were unbelievably quick, medal was very high quality and all for a good price. The only imperfection was the course, which did change beyond the control of the organisers, but the thin, windy path that is part of the usual course is not ideal for a 3 lap race and can be hazardous when when lapping other runners whilst routing for a PB/racing hard”

“A good season starting short run - Not sure if the organizers can smooth out the sharp turns - which leaves us valuable seconds/minutes behind on time. I can understand that the change in start location was bit of forced. Otherwise, well done. One more, though you may have prizes only for the top finishers in certain categories, it would be wonderful and deserving, if the second and third finishers are also called to the podium, albeit just to hand over their medal - OR just call-out their names as recognition.”

“Tourist runner - I wanted a run while on holiday in Dubai and luckily this race was taking place while I was there. it was well organised with a great atmosphere. I'm not usually keen on laps but because of the lovely surroundings it wasn't so bad. There were plenty of water stations available and the course was well marshaled at key places. I'm just sorry I won't be there for the other races in the series. ”

“Enjoyable fast course - As a first time entrant to this event, it made no difference to me that the route was changed a few days prior to the event, but a good job done by the organisers to let all runners know prior to the event and on the morning what was happening with the changes. Very well marked out course, good support stations (and support) and an enjoyable fast course overall. Will definitely take part in this again.”

Slow course but as above that could not be helped, but how many times do you get to view royal yachts in a 10km race?”

“Content - Only complaint I have is there was no energy gel giveaway (as the race mail promised) but the rest was perfect. The course had to be changed at last minute because of a roadblock and everyone in the organization team worked perfectly to find a new course, which was very well measured. Overall a great race.”

Very, very well organized and looking forward to the next one. And a lovely medal as always! The breakfast is a highlight of the event and personally, for me its a great way to get the family together after the race! Slightly disappointed that the t-shirt was a plain cotton one but all things considered, I'd rather have a fab medal than a technical tee. ”

“Brilliant as always, but ... - This is a great run and I really do enjoy it. The problem this time was that there was an exhibition on so the route was changed within 24 of the start and I had to contend with a couple of cars and a truck that got onto the route almost blocking the finish line. Was pretty messy. Finally it would be a good idea to put the clock high up at the finish as people stand in front of it and you can't see it as you come in. ”
