The single stage trail run adventure at the beautiful Wadi Showka, including a 5K Junior event for your kids – a great event for the whole family! The course is out and back along the same route on 100% goat trail, single track, gravel jeep track and rocky wadi bed.
The race is perfect for beginners trying an off road course for the first time but also a fantastic challenge for experienced trail runners. There is very little elevation so it is a fast course.

IMPORTANT COVID SAFETY: To limit the possible spread of the virus we are trying out a new format where you will ‘ARRIVE & RUN’. This means that you must arrive between 7.00am and 8:00am. Runners can begin to run anytime in that slot (30k runners must start at 7am). No runners will be permitted to run after 8:00am. The new format gives an extra dimension to your competitors too – no one can see who is ahead or behind, so it is all out if you want to win!
Please ensure you do not gather in any groups – socially distance yourself from any other runner at the checkpoints and in the car park
There will be NO TOUCHING the water coolers by runners, a member of staff will assist you to fill your bottle
Sanitizer and hand washing stations will be mandatory if you wish to collect fruit along the course
Runners will wear masks unless on the course running – masks are mandatory at all other times
Another change will be there is no pre-race briefing, so you need to read your Athlete Guide thoroughly
Also note that because of the new format, we will not know who has won the race until everyone has finished, therefore we will award trophies at a later date without a gathering. We will notify winners by email or telephone the following day.

• Where & when is the Race Pack collection?

  Your goody bag which contains your race bib, and other mandatory kit will be available for collection from Adventure HQ during opening hours at Times Square on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai.
  * Please note that goody bags will not be taken to the start line. RUNNERS will not be allowed to start without the mandatory kit list specified.
  For international participants or participants living outside of Dubai, we can take your bags to the start line as long as you select RACE DAY COLLECTION upon registration, otherwise your bags will be taken to Adventure HQ and we cannot retrieve until after the race.

  30K Run starts at 7am (check-in from 6am to 6.30am - briefing at 6.45am)
  5k, 10k, 15k runs start at 8am (waves will be 2 mins apart with 15k runners starting first)
  Check-in CLOSES: 7:30am
  Briefing: 7:45am
  Event starts 8:00am sharp!
  The single stage trail run adventure (5k, 10k or 15k) will start (8.00am) and finish (3hr cut-off) and the NEW 30k distance will start at 7am with a 4 hour cut-off, at the beautiful Wadi Showka.

• What more should I know about the 5K Junior Category?

  There is a new 5K category for kids aged 6-15, however kids under 16 must run only the 5KM with a parent or guardian. Please note: we have no kids specific t-shirts available – just Small Adult size.
