The Abu Dhabi Cycling Club promotes the growth of cycling in Abu Dhabi and encourages people of all ages and abilities to participate in their community events.
Liwa Social Century Ride at Al Dafrah is a sportive event starting and finishing at the luxurious Tilal Liwa Hotel on the edge of the empty quarter.
There are three distances to choose from, the challenging full Century Ride of 160km, the testing 120km ride or the half Century distance of 88km.
Riders of all abilities are welcome to join this event with breathtaking views of the rolling sand dunes and the full support from Abu Dhabi Police.
After the ride, riders will enjoy a delicious brunch at the hotel, courtesy of Abu Dhabi Cycling Club.

• Where can i find all the information on this event?

  All information regarding the Race (Race Briefing, Race Course etc.) can be found in the Event Downloads section of this Race (on the right side of this page), so ensure you have a clear understanding of the rules and regulations as well as what the course will look like / entail.

• How do I find my Race Number?

  This will be emailed to you the Wednesday before the race or alternatively will be on display at Race Check In. By knowing your Race Number in advance it will make the Race Check In procedure much easier and quicker for you as all you need to do is go to the respective counter, mention your Race Number and you will then be given your Race Pack.

• When and where is Race Check In and Race Number collection?

  Race Check In will be open between 05h00 and 09h00 on Race Day and will be found close to the start line.
  For each respective race distance, Check In will close 15 minutes after the respective race has started as late riders will delay all proceedings but may change to a shorter distance.

• What are the Race Timings?

  06h00 160km Elite Start
  06h05 160km Elite Intermediate Start
  06h10 160km Novice Start
  07h00 80km Start
  08h00 40km Start
  09h00 20km Start

• Is there a cut off time for the different distances?

  All riders should finish their respective distances by 12h00.
  
  On the 160km course, riders need to reach the:
  80km point by 08h45
  120km point by 10h00
  Failure to reach the above mentioned distances by the required times will result in you being asked to stop and board a courtesy vehicle and be brought back to the Hotel.

• What is the level of difficulty of the course?

  Difficult - with many rolling hills

• What are the support stations and where are they placed?

  Please refer to the Course Map in the downloads section of this page

• Where is Parking at the venue?

  Parking will be inside the hotel grounds or follow designated parking signage

• When will the lunch snack be served?

  This will be served between 11h00 and 13h00.
  Any rider failing to collect their snack between these times will forfeit the free snack.
  Any supporters wanting a Lunch Snack can purchase a token from the Hotel to do so or can use the restaurant and order from the menu.
