On February 6, 2023, Türkiye experienced profound grief. Two earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 struck the districts of Pazarcık and Elbistan in Kahramanmaraş, affecting 11 provinces. Thousands lost their lives, hundreds of thousands were injured, and millions were left homeless.
Last year, Turkish Volunteers organized runs in 20 different locations worldwide, with 450 participants from 49 different nationalities joining in Dubai, totaling 1000 participants. This year, under the patronage of the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Dubai and organized by the Dubai Turkish Business Council, a run with the tagline "REMEMBERING THE LOST, RUNNING FOR THE FUTURE" will be held to honor those who perished in the earthquake and support the survivors.
