The Qantab is probably one of the best locations in the Sultanate that showcases everything that Oman has to offer, and the beaches and mountains here are spectacular.
The race takes places at the wonderful Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, which also acts as the transition point as well. The swim is held in the lovely warm, clear water in the bay of the resort for an out and back 750m swim. As with all MTC races kayaks and large sighting buoys will be used so you can feel confident and safe in the water. From the beach it's a very short run to the transition area and onto the bike and then out onto the undulating roads towards Yiti, for an out and back 20KMs. The 5KM run is held within the hotel grounds and roads and is again a little undulating!
Although a sprint distance, this one will test you!
Post event there will be a complimentary Breakfast for all race competitors (spectators can pay separately for Breakfast if they wish).
