“All participants of the Women's Run paid an equal amount for registration. However, myself and my friends did not receive the free running kit distributed by Bin Sina pharmacy. When we approached the collection point, we were informed that the kits were out of stock. I find it difficult to comprehend how this occurred, as the organizers should have been aware of the numbers of bibs distributed and could have planned accordingly. Despite this oversight, the running experience was well-organised.”

“I enjoyed the event but I think that expo is a bit too far although I know there were buses for people. The start should be a bit earlier maybe 6.30am as it was quite hot. I would prefer the location to be more central, DIFC, Bluewaters, Festival City as this is more accessible. Also the bib pick up being at WAFI, then having to go somewhere else to collect other freebies. Also by the time the 10km ladies finished all the freebies were gone from race village there was nothing left.”

No music played in the pavillion throughout the run.”

“I had fun. Would do it again. I would have given it a 10 if the bus ride was fun. It was so windy and being so early in the morning it was really cold. So that part of the experience wasn't fun at all. It was also dark outside so there was not much to see. I wish we got the bus going back from the run. That would have been ideal because getting to the metro was a long way and just coming out from a run, long walks are not what you want to do. So in future let the bus rides be two way. ”

“Pick up race pack in Wafi mall, the race was at EXPO and you had to collect the gift in Binsana in springs, Arabian Ranches, MOE.. etc…. Which meant I had to drive around half of Dubai for this race… ridiculous!!! Think of the carbon footprint!!! Also, the Binsana gift wasn’t available and we got a useless “”50 AED off when you spend more than AED 200” voucher instead… not much of a race pack. Needs to be much better organised next year. ”

“Proper start time for race wasn't informed so I arrived at 6am only for the race to start at 7.15am. No directions or signs pointing to the race were provided within Expo city on where to park and where to go for the race. There were many cars just wandering around trying to find the accurate place. ”

When we went it were out of stock and they said that the day of the event they will give us the cap and other things, but, there it were out of stock as well. We lose a lot of time on it. ”

That was only done after the race. - seemed unorganised when separating various runners to start 10k, 5k and 3k everyone just huddled together and started when they got to the front. -start and finish sign was wrong - could not access pavilions for free ”

Activities were nice such as the Ambulance heart marathon and thr Holland & Barrett challenges. Not much to do for the kids after the race. More food stalls were needed. After the race sections for discreet massage options could be added for next year.”

Bib number should have been SMS'd day b4 slots for colletion opened & because SMS was issued late many people wasted their time in queues on day1. Other than this lovely event. ”

“The toilet facilities were dirty and terrible. It was a women’s run and the women’s toilets were appalling. There was no water to flush the toilet and it was humiliating and embarrassing as I was on my monthly menstruation, I wanted to clean myself before the run started and there was not even water at the sink to wash my hands afterwards - the water pressure was so low. Did not feel good starting that run like that. No water to drink hydrate before the run which is insane. ”

“The race start point should be segregated for 10km, 5km & 3 km. It was utter chaos at the start point, also for the price being paid & the fact that the venue is quite far away, the organisers could least keep a juice & a banana for all participants.”

“The event on the day, the atmosphere, was amazing, however, I would suggest the really useful information posts that were released like 12 hours before the race actually get released at least 1 week prior for future. “Positive - Great venue, lively atmosphere and great Marshalls/DJs. However the entrances to the parking area was rather chaotic even before 6:00am. Parking stewards/stewardess were seen arriving late to direct parking. Queue for toilets were very long. Some runners were cutting corners when turning so this is rather unfair to those who abide by the rules.”

It was a wonderful experience! So many beautiful women of all ages, some with little daughters, some running with babies in strollers. The warm-up was wonderful! Exciting! I ran to the finish line! The feeling of joy still overwhelms me! Thanks to the organizers for this wonderful holiday!”

There should have been complimentary stuff for the runners. Everywhere that was set up ran out of giveaways which was unfair. ”

“Everything was really well set up (parking, info, event area) etc except the start line. So many 3km runners blocked the way of the 5km. Next time, I think having three fenced areas to join would be much better, so the 3km join in the last section and then move forwards. Within each section, I think it should also be asked if you’re running to move forwards and walkers to the back. I wanted to run the 5k and it was hard to navigate in between walkers right from the beginning. ”

“The race itself was a really fun race and a great course but the organisation of the runners at the start line was very bad. Many of the 5km runners were in the back behind the 3km runners. It would've been good to have different coloured bibs for each of the distances so everyone knew they were standing in the right spot. I ended up having to squeeze past a lot of people to get to the front to start my run, which wasn't very pleasant.”

“Overall, the event was good. However, picking up the kit from wafi mall was too far away for those of us who live Marina way and don’t drive. So expensive getting a taxi there and back. Perhaps a collection point inbetween Marina and downtown would be fairer for all. Also, many did not receive the bin sina race pack. Personally, I walked 40 minutes to the Marina gate store only to be told when I got there that they don’t have the kits. The tent at venue ran out on the day - very frustrating.”

They did not give us the schedule until the night before the event; it should’ve been sent out at least a week before.. They also did not have any sort of food at the finish. There were some stalls with free items, but there were not enough workers and a lot of runners and some of the runners were pushing and not acting respectfully. They should’ve had a separate start time for walkers. ”
