“Good event, maybe a better route next time? - A good event, could maybe have been routed better so as to avoid having to run through the car park? I remember in previous years we ran inside the stadium which made it a bit more interesting. I also struggled a little with the water stations, in that the plastic cups had been pre-opened with a very large opening, which made it difficult to drink while running as it was just spilling everywhere. If they have to be opened, maybe the helpers could be asked to just open them a little? Thanks.”

“Marshalling emergency contact number - One of the runners had an accidantand fall on the ground ( as well as he had VERY diffeculty breathing) the medical service took more than 10min to get to him. also, i saw the marchalling not having a contact number to get them faster. i think the all marshalling team should have an emergency contact number incase this happen agains”

“A great morning! - I have participated in a few Abu Dhabi 5k/10k/etc races and each have been really fun, very well organized, and always worth participating in. The Pink Run was not only for a great cause, but the atmosphere of the entire event was a really fun. Everyone was there seemed to be having a great time! The giveaways/swag was spot on! Also, the race volunteers out on the course, directing, cheering and providing water were awesome! Look forward to the next race, as usual.”

“OK event, but venue lacking - It felt like were running in a parking lot all the time. the route could have been maybe better selected? At the end of the 10K run, we were overlapping with the 5K group and it was very hard to maneuver due to the families and kids..etc. this was really the problem as it got confusing at the end...I understand this is a charity event, but we still need to be able to run without obstacles not to mention the cars and taxis crossing the running path !!!”

Great atmosphere too!!! the only thing i would comment is having the championship chip collection further away from the finish line - you only just cross it and 10m later you have to stop immediately to have the chip removed - this made my legs feel like jelly and that i was going to fall over!! also, i would also have preferred an earlier start as it still got very hot this year! everything else was great though!”

“Great Run! Great Cause! Great Family Event! - This was a very well organised event, with lots of sponsor provided items to engage every one. The route marshals & water station staff were excellent as usual. Goody bag, medal, shirt, breakfast, free photo download...all included, well done Striders keep it up! One suggestion it would be nice to start a bit earlier like 6.30am in order to finish the race before the sun rises & the temperature gets warmer. Great way to start the season with a run for a great cause raising funds of 51,200Dhs!”

“Was very impressed for a 5k event - This was my first Premier online registered event. I am over visiting from the uk and my friend asked if I fancied going to Abu Dhabi to go for a fun run. The registration online was a little long - but that's the only thing that I can fault this for. The event itself was organised. The support was brilliant and the goodie bag/freebies were amazing. I race alot in the uk and at first I thought the event fee was a little high compared to a uk 5k fee but it was worth every penny! I Recommend it. ”

Love the t.shirt but I would still like it to have the date of the race. Photo service was also another huge improvement on previous years. Two very minor grumbles: Before the start we were told to stay to the left if being overtaken, but the cyclist with the 10k leader shouted for us to go to the right, then both right & left, then left! A bit confusing. Also, my garmin hit 5k about 200m from the finish. Thanks again for a great event”

“Numerous cars on the route!!!!!! - Initially there were official cars driving the route especially during the kids race. Then there were a dozen taxis and some personal cars driving at normal roadway speeds right in the middle of the course! There were personal cars going into and parking at the skate rink in the middle of the course. And finished runners were reversing into the course in the parking lot and driving while runners and many kids were running the last kilometer of the course. ”

“Fantastic event brilliantly organised no negatives - This was my seventh ZSC run. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Race pack collection the night before was a great idea. Separating 5km adults and kids was a great idea. Massive well done to everyone involved. And I beat my time from last October!”
