“Suggestion - Must penalize those who do not pass the obstacles. A minute on the wall for example, the person fails and the person continues but only the running speed is rewarded.”

“Challenging & fabulous experience - It was an excellent experience filled with challenges. Would have loved more info earlier prior to the race regarding registration time, race time, course ... etc. I see the participants' age group varies from 16 to 55. Having done this once now, I'd say it's quite an accomplishment for those over 50. Maybe the organizer could consider recognizing those individuals or setting a race category for them ;) Hong Kong needs to be listed as a participating country ”

“A great change - I normally do running for 10 km and half marathon events. This was the first time I'd done something like this at 10 km. The course itself was a lot of fun and very challenging in parts. Like the raft jumping. I searched for details on what actually was included in the race. It would be good to describe what actually was to be expected. Maybe a bit more course details somewhere that is easily found. We had relied upon a page that someone else had written from previous events. I was able to find the course route and a map and that was also available on the day posted on the windows. Another small comment would be to use smaller water giveaways. The ones given out were too big and ended up being wasted or thrown away. Also the positioning of them could be better. I found that I was being handed water after obstacles which was not a good place. Maybe at the start of running areas or such would be better positioning. All in all a very fun day and I will definitely be doing this again! Thanks for the event!”

“Awesome - Great race - well organized! The course was even better than last time - only one thing I missed was the over-and-under section that was on sand instead of in water as last time - put it back in the water again :0)”

“Excellent again - Thank you for making the rafts a bit closer together for us short people. The wall is a bit unfair for short people too, but as long as people are willing to help each other out I think it is fine. I love the monkey bars but I got stuck behind someone slower than what I could do. WAR 4 had 3 rows, right? Maybe 3 rows can return in WAR 6? The sand bags are great (in a terrible kind of way). The race was excellent. The staff are amazing. The organizers, the station marshals, everyone was superb. ”

“Great event and will come back - Good fun and good organisation. Only slight gripe is the cost - appreciate there is more organisation needed than for many events but given that it is all on one site is slightly higher than would expect”

“Really fun event offering an enjoyable challenge - Loved every minute of W.A.R. 5, even lugging the sandbags! The course, with its numerous obstacles, is well laid out with great support from the marshals. Plenty of water stations too, so participants can get on with tackling the obstacles without worrying about the details that can sometimes hamper other races. The positive buzz before, during and after is definitely a reason for wanting to take part in W.A.R. 6! If you're thinking about doing so, don't hesitate, get involved and enjoy one of the more unique races the UAE has to offer.”

“Excellent! - What a fun day! Excellent course, kept me interested and challenged. Only problem was that when I arrived, the car park was full and the extra parking was not signed. Other then that, a great event all round. I loved that we got to have the buffet food after the race - just what we needed!”

“Fantastic race, bring on WAR 6!!! - Maybe a marshal at the bottom of the cargo nets you had to use to climb over the box, I was v grateful to a fellow competitor who helped me when both feet slipped out! Fantastic race though, highly recommended, loved every minute!!!”

“Gets Better every time - Good race, better than WAR 3 which is the last one I did. Just a couple recommendations - too long wading in the rapids in the water, the queue that forms in there doesnt allow for much passing as all are forced to move at about the same rate, and still need more obstacles that require upper body strength (maybe make us flip tires for a longer distance or more monkeybars, or a rope that we have to climb). Well organized and run. I'll most likely be back again”

“Your guys are simply the best - Everybody was great and supportive, the paramedics (Roberto and Jeffrey) stayed with me all the time after I had my minor incident with an evil steel bar, they and everyone throughout the course encouraged me to finish the race. And when I did I was rushed to the ambulance just to make sure I was OK... I deeply appreciate your patience with me, you guys are AWESOME. I'm definitely coming back :)”

“Even better than the last! - As always the WAR events haven't disappointed. They seem to be going from strength to strength and improving every time. My issues with race number 4 were all addressed for race 5 which shows how much they listen to feedback, a great way to run these races. Obstacles were excellent and it broke up the running sections even better this time, so you didn't feel like you were just running all the time. What could be done to make it better? Not a lot! I think it would be worth recognising the top 3 in each category, not necessarily giving out prizes for each, but get them up at the front to recognise achievement. If possible, making the barbed wire crawl wider would be great to aid in overtaking as I got stuck right behind two guys for most of the crawl and would have helped me maybe get a bit of a lead on them. Purely selfish reason but still. I haven't got anything else to add! My last race with you guys and by far the best one yet. Cheers for the great race!! ”

“Awesome fun & great event!! - Marshall's need to let you complete the obstacles your way, participants should be mindful enough to work out the risks. Medals/small trophies should be given to 2nd & 3rd place finishers as well!”

“Medal updagrade + downloadable certificate - New idea to be considered for the medals: the WAR logo to be engraved on both sides of the medal. so how ever you look at the medal you will see the WAR logo. please consider to have a timing certificate available for download. ”

“A great way to have a break in the norm - I signed up for this event as an opportunity to visit Wadi Adventure whikst living in Al Ain, though I did not think I would be fit enough to take part in this race, I thought I'd give it a try as this was an opportunity to see what I could do. The thought of 10km raceseemed daunting, but once I heard about the obstacles put in place and seeing pitures of past races made me want to have a go at it. It was great to see lots of people from all walks of life taking part, which give me even more motivation to do it. At the start, I didn't think I would complete the full 10K, but when I came to the obstacles, I enjoyed climbing over the walls crawling through and under ropes and barbed wire in the sand and even fighting through the currents of the white water rafting areas. The fun part was jumping on the up side down rafts like stepping stones an dmanaged not to fall under water. What really did make proudof myself was the fact that I managed to complete the okey bars swing without losng my grip and slipping off falling into the water and suprised myself by remebering the momentum I had as a child, who loved to climb. Althoug this event was challenging, it was fun and rewarding for me and I was amazed at the time it took me to complete the race as I thought it would have taken me much longer that it actually did, but as a believer in participation being the most important part of a race, I would have regretted not taking pat in this one.”

“Awesome race for warriors! - It will be nice that each warriors get an electronic certificate of finisher with their finnish time. It's a good memories to remember of this race. Most of the races offer this service to the participants. ”

“Gets better every time! - This is a fantastic event! I have nothing to complain about and can hardly think of anything to improve the event! Thanks so much for all your hard work! Thanks for making the rafts a little closer together than WAR4 - this short guy could make the distance! Also love the addition of the chip timing. Couple things to think about including: 1) Medal engravings with the time and place number would be cool - maybe there is a company out there that can do this onsite? People could pre-pay for the service - I just did this with the Dubai marathon. 2) Some garbage cans around the finish line would be great - There are always empty water packages etc that are flying around - people pick them up but there is no place close to put them. Can you tell I'm reaching here - the race was fabulous! Can't wait to see whats coming next!”

“Excellent Event - Very well organized. Few suggestions: -> Increase the running distannce -> Come up with more challenging obstacles which require team work and collaboration amongst the participants. Thank you for your hardwork and for making it happen. Looking forward to the next one. ”

“Another great experience - gets better every time. - When comparing to WAR 4, the WAR 5 event was far superior in terms of organisation. I must admit that I was slightly concerned when I read that the field would be increased from 300 to 600 as WAR 4 was very congested at certain obstacles and points on the course, but my concerns were soon put to bed. Having the 3 groups and staggered start times worked very well and made it more enjoyable. The shirts, however, are still strangely sized - they seem to be very small. I am looking forward to the next one. ”

“Great Race, but careful when running on rocks! - Loved the race once again, but I nearly sprained my ankle a few times in the first wadi section after wading through the water. I would suggest either to flatten out the area slightly or re-route the race to avoid the dangerously rocky areas (especially for the top 50+ finishers who are really pushing for the best times)”

“It was tough but GREAT! - It was my first participation and I was very surprised by the different challenges. I guess next time I'll be better prepared (at least mentally). Sand bags were the hardest part but a good way to start splitting the crowd. Water rivers also quite hard. I also appreciated very much the nice meal at the end (much better quality than Wadi Bih, for example). Nice t-shirt also.”

“Awesome Fun - I loved the event, organization and everything was close to perfect. One comment on the Barbed wire obstacle, it was a it tight for all of us to fit, if people in front of you are slower you cannot do anything. We ate a lot of dust so it would be nice to have a water station right after.”

“When is the next one :-) - First, I really enjoyed the race!!! Comments: maybe I was to focus on the race but I saw only the KM1 and KM9 signs on the track so I could not manage my energy... as such it would be good if you put a big clock at each support station also sand bags are great, I loved this obstacle but I found unfair cos even I am a man, I am only 65 kg. so 20 kg represent almost 1/3 of my weight compare to 1/4 for average other guys of 80kg...but I am not complaining :-) Please inform me when is the next race. Thanks”

“Every W.A.R. gets better than the previous - Fantastic job - you took a lot of the good feedback (not the useless rants) from the last race and incorporated it this time around. Great work. Each WAR continues to get bigger and better. The obstacles were very creative and continue to improve. I do agree with some commentors that you can have some more difficult obstacles. Maybe a rope climb. And I miss the tunnel swim. One idea is that if a challenging obstacle is present... people have a choice between the tough obstacle, or running a 500m (or whatever) extension in order to skip the obstacle. Looking forward to the next iteration! ”
