“Course and organization both are wonderful.
It might be runner friendly if they could remove very rocky section at very end of the race, where runners legs are exhausted and dark. It may be easily cause accident...”
“While the last downhill was challenging, the uphills and views were awesome. I really enjoyed the setting of the event and the easy conversations with both participants and organizers. Nice atmosphere. ”
“Good: marking in pink (yellow=color of the sand= bad idea). Smile of crew & volunteers. Route is v. well chosen! Drop bags logistics
To improve?:CPs are “light”, only water+electrol.+fruits.No “gels, nuts etc..”(or we missed them everywhere?). 'd be good to have peanut b, bread at CPs. Finish a bit light too: no cola, biscuits, pasta, peanut b. ‘ve not seen the "chocolate". Race pack/giveaways as “slim” as any other Ultra. You must ask to get support at CP2,4,7; other CPs are proactive+helpful. ”
“The single tracks in Jebel Ybir were amazing and the 52k and its 3000 meters of elevation gain really challenging. The last 10km on the road while going down to the finish line should be changed to continue off road! The 52k does not appear in the ITRA ranking points (every trail race with published results should be there ... to be checked!). Will come back next year!”
“Just wanted to say a big thanks to the organisers and volunteers for putting on a fantastic race, it was an amazing day! Fellow runners were also great!
What a wonderful day”
“Really well organised and delicious soup and chilli at the finish! This race was out of my comfort zone so I really appreciated how genuinely all the checkpoint crews wanted to help and wanted to get you to the finish. Glorious views, unrelenting climbs, howling winds, what a day! For a slower person running alone for a lot of the day I found the course reassuringly well marked. If we lived less than 4,500 miles away, we'd do it every year!”

“Thanks to all who supported. My first Ultra and the start of many. Looking forward to further events from Urban Ultra.”
“Great experience - sets the standard by which other races should be judged ”
“Great 50 first km
Not so nice 50 last km (road, dirty wadi...)”
“The Hajar 100 is the toughest foot race in the UAE and that really says it all. It ticks all the boxes where Ultra Trail Running is concerned, both physically and mentally tough in every respect. The event is also very well organized, the Urban Ultra Team to an amazing job of setting up and executing this race which is not easy task being a point to point race. So if you are an endurance junky and want a challenge you wont forget ..sign up !! ”
“If you are someone who loves breathtaking scenery and a race that tests you to the core, this is the event for you. Excellent organization. The course was marked so well, you would never get lost. The race briefing was very clear and on-course support was just superb. Thank you Urban Ultra for bringing to us another fantastic event that we will remember forever. Frankly, can't for the next year's Hajar!”
“Aid stations could offer some more....marking in pink not as visible as perhaps yellow dots... a few points could have easily led to taking the wrong turn if it wasn't for other competitors around... Overall great event though.... ”

“Thank you so much for such super great organisation and overall coolness! The trail was superb. The Check points were all very welcome stops to arrive to, with cheerful and encouraging people. The track was clearly marked, even with my extremely poor orientation skills I did not get lost! The arrival in the dark was awesome, loved that last cross country bit ... Loved it all! A HUGE thank you to all organizers and volunteers. All the time and effort put in is truly thankfully recognized.”
“Just awesome. At the time I said never again, but three days on and I'm looking forward to next time.”
“Very positive event, with excellent organisation and stunning scenarios. It would be better if that much tarmac wasn't there on the course path, although some is unavoidable. The aid stations were placed at strategic locations and well served. I would suggest some salty food along with the fruit and drinks. Drop bags arrived without problem and the resting area on the finish line was good. Transport was fast getting us back to the hotel. To repeat next year.”

“This ultra is a great experience and challenge. The organisation and marking of the course is amazing with almost a zero chance of getting lost. The scenery is beautiful and course will even test the most seasoned of ultra runners. This race is worth the travel and will appeal to the even the global ultra running community for sure! ”
“I would have re registered for the 50k from the 100k if it were easier on website, and got a final placing instead of a 'dnf'.
However, it's not the end of the world.:)! ”
“A super challenging trail race through amazing scenery. Brilliantly organised, an exceptionally well marked course and lovely check point volunteers. Best running event in the UAE! ”
