“Great event, but not for me long term - It was a great event, well run and proved very helpful for my preparation for the MDS. I have great respect for the runners that do this kind of thing regularly, but it is not something I enjoy, just something I wanted to challenge myself with, hence saying I would not do the event again; I wont be Ultra Running again at all after the MDS!! Thanks to everyone involved, a wonderful bunch of people.”

“Excellent event - would recommend to others - I thought the event was very well organised and am very pleased I took part in it. The organisers were very helpful and accommodated my wife's arrival at the finish. As an overseas entrant without any local knowledge i thought the event info could have come out a bit earlier - for example i had left from home before i saw the final edition of the race info which had a couple of changes from the previous version e.g. bring mobile phone and mosquito repellent. Overall excellent event!”

“Extreme and beautiful - This is a very hard event and definitely reaches the standard of ultra marathon stage racing. The routes are beautiful, covering desert dunes, wadis, mountains, villages and farm lands. The markings are very well done out. The support is amazing. The over all buzz is great. It was perfect training ground for me doing the MDS and Im glad others joined to do the same. You will push your limits mentally but it is well rewarded after :-) ”

“Excellent event - Course was amazing. The diversity of the terrain was outstanding. The race directors are extremely competent and well organized. Timing results were perfect. The volunteers and support staff were top notch. Well thought-out event. Highly positive atmosphere all around. Very happy about this. Improve?: Event pack collection is not convenient for me personally. Day 3 course signage could have been better. But my only real complaint is the undisclosed extra Ks on the last leg of the last day. ”

“Challenging but possible - A well organised, friendly event perfect for regular ultra runners and newbies. The terrain is varied and challenging. For me the heat is the hardest hurdle. Everyone very supportive and encouraging and because it is currently only a small event it is very social and friendly....you really feel that everyone is rooting for you and you can learn lots of valuables tips about training, kit, nutrition etc etc around the camp Fire at night. Some stunning scenery seldom seen by visitors to the UAE”
