“Not to be done again - Organisation poor and did not follow route as produced - no reason given. Lack of water at stations and lack of atomosphere.”

“Great but not as expected - It was a great day and a lot of fun but as we paid this amount of money we expected at least to get a T shirt for the event and to be more private, in the end of the run everyone were there celebrating even people who is not registered so what is the point of paying money ?”

“Great fun - Ran out of water at the water stations. Otherwise it was fun! Really enjoyed the walk”

“Hair Nightmare! - Worst Experience Ever!! The pink powder color would not go away. I tried for 2 days to wash it but didn't work! I went to the salon and they had to use RINSE 3 times until they were able to get rid of the pink color! I LOST ALL NATURAL COLOR of my hair. I CANT BELIEVE YOU DON"T WARN PEOPLE BEFORE THE WALK THAT THE COLOR DOESN'T WASH OFF! NOTHING ON THE WEBSITE GIVES A WARNING! SO FAR THE WHOLE HAIR COST ME 250 DIRHAMS AND i CAN'T GET THE COLOR OF MY HAIR BACK YET! ”

“Good fun - Water ran out on route. Not too sure where to finish as no signs. Late starting time seemed a lack of organisation.”

“Really nice venue and run! - The finishing line was not very well indicated. It would have been nice to have something a little bit more formal in terms of finishing line... We were not even sure from where it was ending as it was not indicated anywhere on the course. We nearly started a 3rd round when we realized this is where we had come out. It would be nice to have it timed as well... Finally, you should inform that the color is not washable if you wait to long after the run!!! :-) Still have some colors on the body...”

“Needs better organisation by a long way! - The route wasn't clearly marked and the colour stations mentioned online were totally at odds with what was present on the day. It also wasn't clear when to use our colour bags. We were asked to save it until the end but then we didn't know when the end was and after waiting for 20 mins on the grass after we walked the 5 km, we just decided to open our packs like everyone else. The water stations were extremely unclear and poorly stocked when we found one. They asked us to take the metro to ease parking congestion but failed to mention that the first metro train doesn't leave jebel ali station until 1pm on a Friday, meaning we didn't get to the park until just before 2! (we had wanted to be there for 1pm opening of registration so that we could go and have lunch before the walk start at 3pm) The event was lots of fun but the poor organisation was very evident. Not a great endorsement for the events company, that's for sure.”

“I heard aon Reddit about it - Brilliant, non-competitive fun for the whole family, and a great way to get us couch potatoes up and exercising. Funny how many people showed up considering there was not much public awareness of the event. Seriously, I saw none of the ads but heard about it from a guy on Reddit, then proceeded to tell my friends who told their friends... By the way, we loved the party after the race!”

“Less marshal. - It confuses a lot of people whether the event was finished or not as there was no signage and no marshal to assist us.”

“Poorly run - I just felt that this could have been better… there was no blowing station at the end to remove excess powder, there could have been a running path and a walking path… it also could have started on time. No reason when it's a 3pm start. Hoping the next one will be better!”

“Fun but could have been organised a lot better. - Firstly, I asked on your facebook page whether any money from the event went to charity to which I got no reply. Where did the money go? I would have expected that an event of this kind would have a percentage go to charity and that funds should be transparent. The event itself was fun, the whole family mostly enjoyed it as something new and different to do, but I do think there were elements that could have been organised a lot better. There was no signage in/around the event to indicate where it was, starting point, finishing point etc. This also heightens the atmosphere of the event and gives a first impression. The colour stations could have had a lot more going on, music, more marshalling etc - just generally made more fun and energised. The yellow paint was left to last, which had turned a murky brown colour by the time we got there - i.e., the bright stronger colours should be left to last. I had ordered powder paint and felt the queuing to receive these was poorly executed - they had already been paid for so the collection should have been made to be more swift and not to have to queue for 15 minutes. Post event entertainment was awful. At an afternoon family event no body wants to listen to alternative house-type music - it could have been far more upbeat and vibrant and aside from everyone throwing colour around nobody really knew what was going on or what was expected so you were left to make your own fun, apart from the odd Zumba display which seemed a bit odd and out of place. The audience could have been engaged more. Throughout the event they needed a professional compere who guided everyone through proceedings and kept everyone entertained and informed.”

“Fun experience - Not perfect but not bad. The miles should have been marked not sure I did all 5k. The color stations didn't have enough workers or color. Some how we missed green. It would have been nice if the park wasn't open to the public. ”

“I loved it but it was a bit expensive ! - I think there should've been more colors for the value of money that we paid... Totally loveddd the after walkathon party, it rocked!!! ”

“Color Series finally makes it to Dubai - Love the concept, had a great time with friends. The downer is that there was no clear finish. There was a finish sign where people were taking photos but that is it. I would do it again. I think the Color Run is probably a different dynamic and I would like to try that as well. I would do it again with more friends! There were no timings or results but I could not submit this form without rating it. Same for event giveaways. ”

“Not very well organized - Needed some music to motivate people while walking, more color stations, more directions on what people are supposed to do.. Was a bit boring It would have been also nice if everyone was given a white t shirt ”

“Good, but could have been way more professional - I absolutely loved the event, it was my first. Thank you. But following are few feedbacks: - Racetrack was shown online - no proper route signage during the walk. People did 6 and more km just to find out the way back in. - No proper stall from where we could get the water assigned through the water ticket. everyone just kept on asking me and every other racers. Minor tweeks and I'm sure it would just get better everytime. Still... Good Work.”

“Fun event, having problems with the pink dye!!! - The day was fun. Improvements to be made on the delivery of the pre-ordered colour packs at the end, it took a long time and by that time broke the mememtum. Either give all the packs at the start or all the packs at the end. We are having big problems with washing off the pink and purple dye from our skin and hair. The other colours were fine. My daughter has pink hair and it dies not wash off. Our skins are also stained badly, including our faces and no amount of scrubbing, alcohol, dye removal could wash it off. So what do we do now? Any creative idea on how to remove those 2 dyes to recover our skin?”

“Great entertainment for families - This was fantastic for our family (plus three others) who came up from Abu Dhabi for the day. We had a bunch of kids aged 2 to 8 and they had so much fun. Some fixes for future events: - In the pre-event communications, please let us know the best way to get to Za'abeel Park. Just mentioning the best street to come in on would have helped. The map was ok, but us Abu Dhabi folk have a habit of getting horribly lost (and stuck going in the wrong direction on roads driving out to Al Ain) every time we come to Dubai. - The water stations. With a bunch of small kids, we weren't going very fast, so by the time we got to the only (yes, ONLY!) water station on the 2.5km course, it had run out of water. We were parched. And seriously, rummaging around for a scrap of paper or 3dhs? A bit cheap. Those are the two main things I think could have been improved. Perhaps white t-shirt giveaways could've been a good idea with the Colour Walk logo, too? I guess that might have brought up the price. ”

“A lot of fun! - The idea was great! We all had a lot of fun! The walk need some better signage (start, finish, route signs) An idea for next time: have the music on the race track. ”

“Fun - A little bit more coordination with in the team and proper organisation skill will definitely make this event successful. Water is essential part of the walk, which was lacking massively, when u take so much if money ensure to give water to participants post completing every KM. ”

“Great idea, but start & finish not well organized - - website link to "map" didn't work - disappointed that there was no T-shirt in goody bag. I liked the ones the volunteers were wearing. seems overpriced for what u get. - unclear where to pick up water & water ran out - should not give any color powder beforehand, so we start w white shirts - golds gym presentations were good, but need an emcee to say welcome, explain when things will start etc while people are just standing around - needs to be an announcer at the starting line - color stations were good & decorated nicely with balloons. Also liked the funny signs. - signage throughout the race should be much better, especially when indicating where to go for finish - more presence of organizers at the finish line - no sense of celebration or "party" at end - overall good effort, especially for first time”

“Route Not what was advertised - The route was very poor and not what was advertised. The collection of purchase color was dis-organised and woul d have been better done before the walk. The colours had run out by the time we reached the stations so had to collect the colour from the floor.”

“Best 5k I have participated in - Other than the advertising for golds gym prior to and at the end of the event it was spectacular. I ended up leaving before the colorfest because the golds gym thing just wouldn't end. I would recommend advertising this as a 5k walk/run though as there were quite a few runners and we would have had an easier time getting out in the beginning if they allowed it.”

“No organisation whatsoever - No signage to the registration area outside Zabeel Park. No instructions on what to do, where to go, where to wait, not to use up all your powder before the race, no race/course information at all. No marshalls. Only 1 ambulance round the entire circuit. Circuit was not marked. No horn or bell or even a professional or official start to the walk. Felt like one big advert for Gold's Gym. ”
