“Great atmosphere, great race! - Overall one of the best organised races in Doha. Great course, clearly marked, so no need for lots of marshals. The tiled part of the course was a bit slippery in the early morning mist. From my GPS I think the course may have been a couple of hundred metres longer than 10km, which would be a shame for those trying to get a best time on the fast course. Where can you find photos? Loved the medal with the stick-on time labels; great idea and very classy little medal. Long wait for awards.”

“2 laps to the same circuit - Bib collection was well organised this time! Consider a different circuit instead of two laps. Very expensive. I understand that it has charity purposes, but anyway is too expensive. Think in more popular rates and the number of runners will easily increase.”

“Great race, well set up - Excellent race. Similar route to other races at the same venue but didn't seem to get congested on route on the second lap like other two lap races. Will be back again next year!”

“Enjoyable, with a few 'but's... - Love the aspire location, the chip pickup is sublime. Adding some but's: running on tiles was slippery, did not like seeing the results posted on guntime instead of chiptime, missed a recognition for all categories, even if it means only coming on stage. Keep organizing though!”

“Individual Km boards should be included - Each km should be clearly demarcated so one can pace oneself instead of guessing based on your stop watch reading. ”

“Event is ok but can be better. - 1st of all, shirt size. It is nice to have one as a token of participation. Something to make you remember you ran at this event. But shirt size is either too small or very large! Eneded up using my own. 2nd, shirt design. It is the same as last year! I dont think its a good idea to re-use the same design. Makes one think you'll have the same one next year! 3rd, medal. There should be difference between 3k and 10k medals. Overall its an OK event.”

“Great race - The event was thoroughly organized. Loved that it started promptly, the finisher's medal was quite a welcomed surprise & the food afterward was plenty. Hope next time though the food choices will be a bit on the healthier side. Overall, it was a wonderful event. Hoping to attend another in 2015 :)”

“Well run - One correction is to have the awards ceremony before final runners complete the race... tell everyone ahead of time that the race start is at 7 AM and awards are at 8:15 AM... also, the 3K event was much shorter than 3K.... make it so it is indeed a 3K or have the 2.5K "Fun-Run" and a 5K for other runners.”

“Good race - Good race - only issue is the choice of route, when people drink water some areas get wet and very slippery, quite dangerous try to do a 10km route in one single lap as opposed to 2 laps”

“Good but there is room for improvement - There were many excellent aspects in the organization; I just have a couple of comments: 1. The t-shirt I got was too small. I usually wear medium, and even though I received Large for the race it was still to short and a bit tight. I noticed that with all t-shirts with the green "man" artwork on them. 2. There were a few slipper parts on the course. I would recommend next time to avoid the non-asphalt patches when designing the course. Thanks for all your awesome efforts”

“It's ok - It's my first time in this event. Really enjoyed. As this race is for a cause and not a professional race so we shouldn't have complained. But, as asked for feedback in order to improve & to make it more attractive some points to be noted. First of all wrong sizes tshirts. No indications of distances. Not mentioning about the categories. Staffs with water weren't very active to handover to all participants who needed. Map didn't match. pitches were slippery. Staffs only at the start & end.”

“Not as well organized as I would have thought - Why were we running on the road when Aspire has very good tracks all around with a better surface? There did not appear to be water stations for the 3K, so my son did not have access to water until he ran the race and then walked all the way back to the starting point. There weren't enough giveaways for all participants and they were cheap quality. I realize the proceeds are meant to go to charity, but don't make promises you can't keep. I'd rather have it all go to charity and get nothing”

“Except running for a charity, not exciting - First of all, I would like to thank all the people who made good efforts and goodwill in organizing this event, and there are many of course. Except the bib collection was fine and friendly, unfortunately lot of negative details harm this event: distance inaccurate (10.2 on my Nike+ and 10.15 on my Garmin), little delay for the start, warm up exercises only for the front of the starting line, Medal & T-shirt with no mention of the race ... ”

“Fun Event but can definitely improve - The race in general was fun, and as a family we all enjoyed it. I appreciated that the track was different this time, since my last 2 races followed the same route that's quite boring a repetitive. Pro's: 1. Date and time of race is perfect Cons: 1. Couldn't hear the commentator- 2. No signs or directions to where runners had to go (10k/3k) 3. Sharp turns on track 4. Wet slippery road due to fog 5. Cloth goody bags ran out (I came in#204) 6. Very poor choice of food after event”

“Mind blowing Experience with a touch of arms givin - I had taken part for the very first time in the 10km marathon and proudly completed it too. Now I am aged 32 and makes me just wish I should have started at a tender age. But never the less, Late is better than Never. The event was well organized and conducted at an international level with a dual objective of helping the needy and promoting a healthy lifestyle. We ran for a reason and duly fulfilled it too.Looking forward to keep running for such events. Thanks to the staff for their support.”

“A good experience with some room for improvement - Overall, the day was better organised than last year. The main issues I had were: - Parking directions were hard to follow, I found it impossible in the dark and the fog and ended up parking elsewhere at random. - There were NO distance (kilometre) markers! - There were several too sharp turns on the course, especially the one at the very end. - The post-race food on offer was perhaps not the sort of thing for sensitive runners' stomachs. How about fresh fruit / bagels / muffins?”

“Jagged and long course - Well organized and clear instructions from online registration to race finish. But the courses three (x2) sharp u-turns really put a damper on your pace and flow. More gentle curves would be much appreciated. And many racer's GPS watches read 10.2 km. ”

“Worth flying in for. - PB in my first 10k race, so happy with that. Good comms and support especially from Haya who arranged that I could use shoers at the venue as I was getting straight on a flight. See you next year.”

“It was fun and a good charitable course. - I will start with the praises: great medals! Reasonably good course. Rants: Goody bags ran out! I know it is for a charitable cause, but participants also paid good money, and have the right to get what was advertised. I finished 280 overall and the goody bags already ran out which is simply not acceptable. The T-shirt design and quality are good, but the sizes are ridiculous. I am 175 cm and 77 kg and I have to exchange for a XL and it is still a little too small. ”

“Great fun & great organization until presentation! - If there are various categories for registration and then only an ‘overall’ for prizes, this is deceptive and disappointing. Little kids competing for prizes against senior adults? Sad to see so many children waiting for their podium moment only to be let down.”

“Well organised, plenty of water, friendly - Great event. Only XL and S tee shirts but they were great. Better information about bag drop as no one seemed to know where it was. Km markers would be welcome for non Garmin users. Route clearly marked and marshaled. More music at the start/finish would improve the atmosphere. Liked the way the medal accommodated the time. “Good race, but ancillary efforts were poor - The course itself was good, and very well sign-posted (unlike other events I have attended at this venue). There were plenty of water stations available. The 'goody bag' was very poor, and I didn't understand why we had to pretty much put it together ourselves at the end of the race - why couldn't they have been pre-packed and we could then just pick up a bag ourselves? The contents weren't great either. The t-shirts are ridiculously small! Mine just about fits my 7 year old brother!”

“No prizes for all registered categories!! Bad!! - They did not respected categories, they were mixed! I registered for Veterans 1 and no prize for my category! Disappointing!! Really bad!!!!”

“Had a great 10k run. - It was my first time participating in this event. Although the route which was attached on the website was different from what we ran today, the unexpected fog made the two lap circuit like a single interesting route. The medal is a real treat and feels really good. Only thing i could point on the downside is certain refreshment stall did not serve due to some technical issues. All in all, I am looking forward to the 2015 edition of this race !”

“Good race, but not enough of everything - I was given a child's shirt, despite registering early. There where no XL shirts left by the time I realised I'd been given a child's Tshirt. I now have no TShirt & I love that shirt! When we got to the end of the race the event bags where finished and I wasn't at the end of the pack. The race was one of the best last year, but it was certainly not like last years event in terms of organisation. ”

“I was great! - My expectation is high since it was my 2nd time and I encourage my family and friend as well. Only few things I have noticed such as the original route was totally different, sound system is not that good and limited marshalls to guide the runners that leads confusion with the 3k participants but still it was great and surely we will be awaiting for the next event.”

“An enjoyable race! - I would be better if bibs could be collected one or two days before the race to avoid queues and having last minute stress. Also it could be good to mark 1k, 2k... or at least every 2k so runners have a notion of where they are in the circuit and can mentally plan for the finish time. The race map did not match today's race. I would add a slight higher slope/inclination to make the race more interesting. In any case I enjoyed the race today very much and hope to keep participating!”

“Fun, as always. - My only real complaint this time is how the distance wasn't indicated along the route--running for me is difficult, and I always use the km markers as a metaphorical crutch to keep going.”

“Major plus points for starting at 7, on the dot. - I've run 10km on a treadmill several times already. This was the first time I do it 'in real life' and it couldn't have been more pleasant. Props to the entire organizing team.”

“Well organized and fun event! - I think providing water bottles along the route is unnecessary and not environment friendly at all. Maybe the organization can look into the use of small paper cups. The sizing of the shirts was totally off and shirts were too short. I was really appreciative of the response and correspondence before the race, Thank you! The event was really well organized, the route entertaining enough, and atmosphere very positive! I hope we'll keep seeing more and more of these events in Doha! ”

“Overall a fun pleasant race in a nice area - This is the 2nd time I've done this, and my only complaint from both years is the pre-race organization and delivery of instructions right before the race starts needs improvemement. A lot of people could barely hear the announcer, let alone understand the instructions for which line to stand in for 3K and 10K runners. A They need a better speaker system to make announcements or more volunteers giving instructions before the race begins. Overall, though, a well-organized and enjoyable event!”

My friend needed the toilet half way round, she was relieved to see some portaloos at the side of the road, but they were locked?? this facility should be available. It would also be great to get your time at the end of the event. At the point where the 3k runners turned off there was a sign as to which a security guard stood in front of so no one could see it! it needed a marshall. There also needed to be some k markers to set a pace for your self!”

“T-Shirts - Despite having adult and children t-shirts available, they gave children t-shirts to adults. For those that received adult sizes, they were not what had been requested online. Need a water station in the refreshment area.”
