“Too many people with too little experience trying to ride too fast. Having said that, at least it was a single track loop so it wasn't quite as dangerous as the 65km out and back build up ride...”
“Very good to have the repair station at the start of the race.
Some quadbikes messing around along the stick on the way out, not so safe.
I would suggest that an FAQ be available on the OnlinePremier website - I could not find out how i would get my chip and what i had to select to pay for when registering”
“Well organised group participation event. Well done to all concerned. Thank you.”
“Only 1 suggestion. Should have mobile toilets for such a large gathering”
“Feeding/water comes not very clear”
“I thought it was great, well organised event, that ran smoothly and a great series leading to the main event, the 92”
“Great ride, great atmosphere, start was a bit mixed up, but overall success”
“Letting 2 social groups go first was a complete disaster. It resulted in a huge group of about 60 people for the first 17K with all abilities. The groups then split based upon sheer size and a small group of riders just controlled the front from there with others just hanging on for the ride.
Start should be based upon espeed as it has expected speed as it has in the past if the results are going to be used to place people in the groupings for the race.”
“This was the first time for me to do this event and i enjoyed it. However, I would have liked to have received a route map before the event. Moreover, there were no water stations on the track, and if there were i didn't know about them or see them. and they weren't demarked on any map that could have been sent to us in the email briefing. one of my friends had an minor accident on the bike and cut his finger. there was no first aid stop for the entire track.
“Great event and well organised. Considering the timing taken beeing part of the seeding for the Spinneys 92K challenge, it would have been preferred if the track had been closed for the 3 hours having more than 500 riders buldozing through to not lose any seconds, making it a somewhat hazard for other riders using the track, especially those who chose to go counterclockwise. (Or as an alternative at least request that all go clockwise during the 3 hours minimising the safety hazard).”
“Track should be closed during such events, it's only 3 hours or so long, gets pretty hairy for those riding the opposite direction, can't blame the Build Up riders when there is a cross wind as escelons can form”
“I really enjoyed the build up I could attend and I will miss the big event, unfortunately. If I can suggest something is to skip the really short build up rides (35 and 45km) and to have from 65 onwards. I suspect that the ones needing the 35km few months before the Ride won't make it to 92 in such a short time.”
“To musth Road works this time ,and the start gruppe it NOT the Best ,but i know the are manny biekers , overall good , rgds Svend Christensen , Denmark ”
“The track is very good but, we were missing some people to give some guidance. Signalization was very poor”
“Very well organized for a training. well done.”
“I've only been riding four months and thanks to the great organisation, this event is a breeze even for the less experienced. Well done to all involved in the organisation. ”
“Well organized and well executed, thanks. ”
“It was my first time as participant to this event and I have no regrets.
The overall build up was well organised and on top I met great people who share the same passion for cycling.”
“My one small complaint is that the people manning the water stations were not prepared to hand out water to people on the move, but rather just stood around 'supervising' the cool box. Not ideal when trying to stay with a group! Otherwise, all good. :)”
well thought out and very friendly
well done and thanks for putting in all the effort
( cant really comment on pack delivery as nothing has come yet)
feel free to quote me
“I enjoyed the fact that I finished the ride but there were too. Many selfish riders trying to push the new riders to off the road. ”
“My first time at a organized event and it was really easy to follow the instructions given by the MC/commentator. ”
“The event has been well advertised so far and the Premier Timing results have been very prompt”
“Dangerous, badly organised, unsuitable route for 700 cyclists starting and finishing within 45 mins of each other
Organisers had no control on starting waves, no guidelines were put down on passing other riders on the track and an absolutely horrific number of arrogant and inconsiderate participants
Event was badly marshalled - 2/3 points where traffic / horses were crossing the track were not marshalled. (50 cyclists crossing a blind side road with no marshal at 40kph - unacceptable)”
“Starting arrangements were a bit hectic, but eventually we all started good!
Ride was as expected - ready for the 92km!”
“Great ride and very organised, thanks.”
“Can't fault anything. A very well run event that the team should be proud of !”
“Great event. Great course. Great people”
“Liking the music at the start/finish - wakes you up and gets you ready to ride!”
“Simply perfect, especially if you don't have to collect anything ”
“Great ride, agree with all the positive points below!
Also thanks for the heads up about the Endurance ride - helped to know and understand :)
Liked the new loud speaker system - much easier to hear.
Thanks to organisers and volunteers alike. Job done. And down very well.
And however the wind was held back - yes please do that again!!”
“Some people need to learn to take their turn at front and communicate better! Nothing organisers can do ! ”
“Thanks to the two fellows who helped me with my broken chain -one with an emergency link and one with the tool to fit it. Lesson learned - will pack my tool from now on.
Great ride otherwise, perfect conditions, fresh bananas, water -what more can I say. Shame about the horse ride followers - riders not a problem it was the nutters in the 4wds. Minor blip.
Maybe we could have a general 'Spinney's Ride' label to wear so both riders and marshals can tell who is part of the ride and who isn't.”
“Thank u guys for evry thing and I enjoy riding my bike today 10/10”
“Really enjoyed the ride - pleased the organisers brought in more toilets - much needed, hope there's lots more of them for the '92.
Thanks very much!
