“Ok but not so great - Having participated in similar events in the past, I was disappointed with: 1. The medal. It looked cheap and not one you would be proud of displaying. 2. The marshalling. A number of participants cheated and crossed over to the other lane. 3. The non-availability of sports drinks on-site and at the finish line. This is usually a staple in events such as this. 4. The course was poorly-lit in some areas that I could not even read my heart rate on my watch. ”

“Great event - Great event, but for me as a german was a little strange that no men were allowed at race location. My suggestions:1. baggage deposit during the race (for clothes, not valuables), 2. bus transfer to the race location from Sharjah Ladies Club or Sharjah Bus station because it was difficult to find even for taxi drivers because of road closures(bus ticket can be booked in advance during registration), 3. at finishing line not only drinking water but also isotonic drinks or cola. ”

“Much improved! - The course is nice and straight. There were water stations at every 2.5kms, which is more than sufficient. I loved that the 10K people finished in a separate area vs. the 5K people because there wasn't a giant crowd like last year. I also like that the water bottles were recyclable. ”

“It's graet fun but 5K and 10K shouldnt be mixed. - It was very good experience and I enjoyed it a lot. I like the facilities and start/finish organization. One thing disturbs me - when 5k runners (or rather walkers) were all over the road width and I couldn't run properly to the end of 10K because they were disturbing. I had to swing between them that makes the run more difficult! They should be on one lane and 10k on the second lane.”

“Much better the last year - This year, SLC refused to send race packs to Al Jawaher, even though it was specified online that my pickup would be there. SLC is extremely far from where I live, so the hassle of getting there completely disappointed me. As for the event itself, we were constantly behind schedule for no apparent reason, items such as glow sticks that were free last year had to be paid for and our bags contained no "goodies" unlike the previous year where Voss water, etc. were given. Disappointing. ”

“Thank you for a great event - The only problem is the finish of the 10km. It was really difficult and inconvienant trying to fight your way through the 5km walkers to get to the end. Maybe let the 5km end in a different direction that the 10km. Maybe a few more bathrooms would also be nice. Race village was very nice. Thank you to the organisers.”

“Medal not good same for the last year 2015 - My Comment for this event, 1. the finishing line for 10K not good because very dark and also the runners like me not excited that you’re near the finishing line its dark… I think need more lights so that the runners if they will see the finishing will be more energy to run. 2.The Medal same from the last year 2015 never change like you’re not happy to receive the medal because same for the last year and also no identification that you run for 10K or 5K writing for the medal.”

“A fun ladies 10km run and sporting event! - More marshals on route on long isolated stretches. ”

“Good and enjoyable event - I suggest having time sensor at each 1km as I have seen some participants crossing over the road and going toward the finish line without running the whole distance. Such participants should be disqualified from the race. ”

“Great event, clean, happy race party - Great pre-race communication Make sure that the race packs are ready for distribution on the specified time. It was previously announced that the race packs can be collected at 1pm, but at 1pm, the staffs have just started fixing the place. We rave the nail painting, photo booth, food, and the bean bags. Well done fixing the race village. Some portion of the road was poorly lit. Last year's Zumba dancers were better They forgot to give me medal at the finish Overall, a lot of improvements”

“Liked the 2014 run better. - I could not be there when the race started however i did join quite late which i did not mind as long as my bib will send me in how many minutes i finished my run. However to my surprise when i crossed the end line i noticed the msg sending me the same time thats posted since the race has started! The value for participating isnt worth whats offered for us. 2014 participitaion was 65 dhs with bananas, ornaminci drinks and free picturing provided. 2016 only provided water for free. More to say”

“Overall not bad but must sort out the ending. - The mixing of the endings for the 5 and 10 is not good as I ended up trying to dodge lots of people walking the 5km just as you were on your last 2km, not want you want when your are tired at the end of the race. the course was very boring just straight up and down.”

“I had so much fun - This was by far the best run I have done. It was (to me) well organized and the group running was really into it and supportive. It was nice to see ladies only, even the event security. It would have been nice to have more giveaways, but that is an added bonus. InshaAllah see you all in the future. ”

“Always worth the wait! - We covered muslim women never get a chance to run freely in an outdoor venue with no male access. Not only does SLC give us that rare chance every year, but it does it so well. I've enjoyed every little detail, starting from the free pack to the setup of the event to the run and finally the zumba and dance party. Well done and I will continue to look forward to it every year.”

“Great event! - Soooo much better than last year, I'm glad I decided to do it again! A lot of cheating on the course so perhaps make a barrier so runners can't run over to the other side until they reach the roundabout. Would have been nice to have different tshirts and medals from last year. Overall really fun event!!”
