“Can be better - The run was ok, and the zumba superb! Since there are kids running and probably 1st timers, should be oriented on rules when and where to stop to tie their shoelaces if need be... a kid suddenly bent over and I bumped into, I fell, bruised and wounded. Some of the lamps where turned off, and can be dark.”

“Beautiful event! - Obvious that organizers put heart and soul in arranging this nice event! Location, festive atmosphere, nice goody bag, dedicated ladies at water stations who were sitting there from 3pm and suggested water for us when we did warm-up! A pity that nobody advised organizers on some technicalities in arranging such races especially 3 races at a time! So 3 top winners in 5km did 6 km instead of 5 as it was no indication on turning point –no marshal, no sign! Hope next time will be better, good luck!”

“The traffic to the univ was rerouted that night. - We're three girls coming from Dubai, and cannot find the alternate road the police mentioned. Using GPS, we returned back to the same blocked road. The policemen were helpful but the directions given in English were so confusing. Even the way in the campus did not have enough signs. It would have been helpful if there were maps and routes in the event pack.”

“It was fun night - The whole event was great. We enjoyed the running and the zumba party. You have great crew, they are really supportive. The only thing was the race pack we had to go all the from Dubai to Sharjah to get the race pack. “My First ever 5k run - Great experience - It said pick up race pack from 4:30 - 5:00 in the library. So we were there at 4:45. But the pick was not in the library it was directly at the race and we could have come 2 h later as well to pick it up. And start punctually at 7:20. We were bored so we bought some energy bars 4 pieces for 12 aed at home we discovered they were expired already. This is illegal! ”

“Facebook from slc page - I liked that there was no men allowed but did not know it advance. As i am veiled it would have been great to highlight this. The message received did have this info but it was not clear that the area is safe to take off the veil. I liked the zumba party before and after, the color throwing and the disco lights. The event itself was very well organized and in a fantastic location.”

“Good event - - the root of the running path should be explained before the commencement of the race or at least a root map should be included in the race packs. - There should be signs along the running path showing the participants where to go. (i.e 10k participants had to go straight while the 5k participants had to run around. However, no signs were there on the roundabout)”

“Worse race i have done in UAE - I entered the 5km race and hoped to record a good time during this event. the fact that there were no signs for the 5km competitors to know when to turn around i ended up running 9km. Why was there no race briefing before the event started and warning that the countdown was about to begin? Why was there water stations every 200 meters and no one was able to tell me when to turn around! I have participated in close to 50 races in the past 3 years and this has been the worse race I have witnessed.”

“Not 10k - My GPS as well as my friends stated distance to be 11.50km and not 10km and it was the most boring track.”

“It just keeps better and better - Praises: such a wonderful experience. The race started on time. The waterstations are everywhere. So many freebies. I love the towel after a long race. I love the privacy of "all ladies". I RAVE THE ZUMBA WITH SPLASH OF PAINT. It was great they added different distance to choose from. Rant: the communication for race collection is a tad bit late, still was good. Suggestions: early comms for race collection and baggage counter would be nice. ”

“Poor communication and no signs!!! - Before the event I had emailed SLC to ask if I could pick up my race pack on the day, as they said no I had to travel a lot to get my pack the day before. I was really upset to see packs being distributed at the event which meant I could have collected it on the day!Poor communication skills! During the race there were no signs to direct us when to turn, I was very shocked! I just followed everyone else but somebody should have been directing us! Why not have a sign saying 5k turn here-simple!”

“Horrible organization - Very bad organization worst run I have ever been to. I cannot believe that there were no signs to guide us through the 5K run. I was in 4th position, ran 5.7K and what happened was unacceptable. I have come all the way from Jebal Ali to witness what has happened. It was not only me, but there were around 10 runners behind me that even stopped the race because they were misguided by the organizers. We complained after the event but not one was interested to listen and no one cared. What a shame ”

“Living to its values in flourishing women's health - In winter season night run can be started 1 hour early; please provide additional marshalls to encourage and tell how much distance have been covered and remaining more; and should have been more lively in the middle distance when bright lights were put up. “Better than expected.. - Route needs to be lit up all along.. walkers should be instructed to walk on the right, so runners can actually get past them. 10km is not 10.7km. longest last km I have run! would like to see km markers as stand up signs rather than painted on the tarmac-something to look out for in the distance esp on a very boring route.. the flashing lights of the emergency vehicle at the finish were REALLY disturbing! smaller water bottles Nice giveaways, nice medal. “Good, but needs improvement - I've never seen so many water stations at an event, which is good, but the water bottles were European imported that are expensive and not eco-friendly. I think cheaper water bottles should be used in the future. We should have gotten an email about the start location much earlier (it was emailed less than a week in advance). There were areas where the course was poorly lit, otherwise gravel is good. The light sticks, when flickering, made me feel sick. I had to look away.”
