“Needs enhancement - It is better if the event started early like 6:00 am since it is summer. There should be category as to beginners or professional to give chance to others .”

“It Was an Exhilarating Experience, Simply Awesome - The Event Was very well organised, everything was very well co-ordinated. I only felt that there were a lot of am matures running with a few professionals and no matter how much we practice we could never beat the professional athletes, so if its possible could you organize an event separate for professionals and separate for beginners so every person can give their best and have a fair chance of winning the event. Thank you for the experience... :)”

“One issue with race - I understand that this was a ladies run but the continued asking of the men to leave was excessive. Fathers, Friends, Husbands, Brothers were there to support and take pictures of their loved ones doing the race and it took the fun away from the event by making them leave. People like to do these events and have support from family/friends and it just was a little less fun because they couldn't be there to see us race or share the start or finish with us.”

“Good - I like the race because it has race kit and with freebies. But can you make the medal a metal not plastic.Also, should be done earlier months like Feb or march coz weather is not good. And before the race, there should be a warm up exercises like stretching and cardiovascular exercise. “Tremendous first 5K event for SLC. Congratulations - It was quite hot when we got started, late, so I think we need to start earlier and promptly next year. Excellent mood and atmosphere and I enjoyed myself immensely. The t-shirts were great but I think the sizes were not very accurate - mine was Xl but I found it too clingy. Still, it was very good value for money so I am not complaining. Great job SLC.”

“A great Idea, that's been long overdue! - The race was in a great location, but as others have said, was a little less than 5k. 4.4k I believe. 8 am start... but we waited until 8.15 to run. It was very hot. A 7 am start would have been perfect. Loved the fresh bananas! All in all a great way to start a friday morning. ”

“Great Race - Great Race, however the location details werent that clear, it mentioned sharjah university &universty hall parking, although it was not even remotely close to university hall,it would have been easier if you just said next to AUS,i lost mins within the university city until i found it. Plus there was only one sign at the entrance of the uni city,it would have been helpful if there were more on all the entrances [specially those far from AUS], but all in all i Loved the race :) great energy&fun!”

“Good initiative but room for improvement - Excellent initiative by Sharjah Ladies Club, however some improvements to make this an even better success next year. Distance was less than 5k, Race needs to start much earlier than 8am if in April as its too hot, race must start on time, signage & directions to race was missing both at venue & pre event communication, water support team needs more training & direction, bag drop points would have helped. Overall a good event in the calendar that women can look forward to. ”

“Very Hot !! - The route was easy, great for first-time runners . Some tips for next time: -Double check the distance!it was not 5K. -The starting time should be earlier 6am or 6:30 am. -The timing Chip should be on the bib, or disposable. -The give-away and the energy food and drinks should be for the runners with NUMBERS only.I was in 29th place (24mis ) and I got almost none as I could see others(not runners) walking away with BOXES of the give-away. -play area for dads with kids.as No men allowed ”

“Great Event - I would love to see this event run earlier in the morning to beat the heat or earlier in the year. I realise that it was a women's event but if women are expected to follow dress requirements then surely husbands can support their partners by cheering them on....it was pretty quiet out there! I would like to see all females regardless of age allowed to participate. It was a pretty good event though, especially for their first one.”

“Great initiative for ladies - Great run but it definitely should have taken place at least one month earlier when weather was not so hot. Although the route was good there was no shade and in the 8am heat it was quite harsh. Better promotions and marketing would have also encouraged a better turnout. The directions for exact starting point should have been clearer. Medals (plastic) cud be atleast silver / bronze coloured to look like metal. Overall great energy at event!”

“I wish I could have participated!! - I was looking forward to participating in this event. However, I could find the event. There were no directional signs and the directions on the facebook page lead me to unknown location somewhere in the desert!! It very upsetting to prepare for an event and not participate simply because one could not find the event. I wish a could get a refund. ”

“Awesome - The event itself are well-organized, congratulations to the event organizers. The only thing is, it was started very late, it should have started on-time because it's summer season now. It would be better to held an event like this during winter december-march at least. ”

“My First awesomely exciting marathon - Everything was great and for a first timer I got a nice impression on marathons and it's an encouragement to join more of such events in the future. However we got lost while trying to reach to the marathon site inside the university's campus and found it hard to get to the right location on time. Thank you for all your efforts. ”

“Good first try and can improve next year - I was disappointed by the fact the course appeared short (GPS on phone and also in car measured it as only 4.5km). The start time of 8am (actually 0810) was late for this time of the yr making it very hot. The toilets were good however and good to see a kids area although am amazed it was unsupervised! I was also very disappointed to see that despite it saying in the race bag that elbows and knees must be covered, many did not (including any of the early runners). Great to have a race in April”
