“Just the way a race should be. - This had everything we need for a great time: the course, the organisation, the timing service. Also full marks for leaving out the unnecessary stuff that may be appropriate in longer-distance events. Amazing value for money.”

“A race about running - This is a raw race, purely about the running. Great to see so many kids running, including the 5km. Very sad there was cheating, but reassuring to see the race director recognise and take action immediately (other events should take heed). Love the SMS with your time, before I even left the event.”

“Perfect. Dubai's answer to UK's park runs. - No frills. Get involved. Passionate. Supportive race. Super atmosphere. I love it. Great to see how much improvement one can make between the Iftar challenge and this race. For me it was 3min and 40 secs improvement over a 5k race. Needless to say, I am delighted. Some may argue that perhaps I never ran the Iftar Challenge harder but humidity and I aren't the best of friends. Many thanks to the organisers. The look on the kids faces running the race - priceless. Worth every penny. ”

“Convenient for me as I live in Motorcity. - I have seen improvement on the start organizing, microphone was used...still could not hear but since I know the track and have done the race before, no worries. Thank you, I enjoyed it.”

“Good Track and well organized - Excellent warm up. - Very good track and good set of runners. I did enjoy it. Timings if on weekend would be much better than working day as it gets too hectic. secondly there were no medals which is one of the reason why I always like to run as a recognition. Thanks, Faisal. ”

“Pleasant evening run - Well marshaled and organized route. Traffic congestion was not as bad as predicted, we had no trouble in getting there as only traveling from JVC. Disappointed that the race start was not over a mat so the chip time wasn't as accurate as I would have liked. We just started between two points on the track on mass. However, this being said I would do the run again as it was well run and good value for money. ”

Comment from Premier Online - 17.12.2014
“As you all started on a 12m wide section (therefore had mats been available at the location and 12m wide you would all have still had the same start time) with a 'gun start', your chip time was indeed accurate as it represents exactly the time you took to run the prescribed 5K course. Thanks for your rating.”

“Great race on the race teack - Simple, but well organized. Nice to have the kids run first, so I could support them before going on myself. Good value for money and will definitely come back next year! ”

“Great value for money - A great race for everyone, so good to see the elite runners with those who turn up regularly and lots of newcomers. Nice to see the junior race first and support them - so many great little runners. Well organised - thanks to DRR and volunteers alike :-) ”

“Great - Most of the rating options are not applicable here but it gets 100 percent from me. I wish there were more short races like this, well organised and chip timing all for 50DHS.”

“Great race - Great race with no frills, great course and some serious competition. The only thing I found a little disappointing is that I saw some runners cut the corners on the course. A lady who was running alongside me for a while even shouted at the marshals on several occasions pointing this out to them. I wonder if anything was done about disqualifying them. ”

Comment from the Event Organizer - 13.12.2014
“Agree with your comments and the marshals did report on runners who cut corners. Some lead this others just followed the ones in front. However, 2 runners who clearly ignored instructions from the marshals and cut corners again on the 2nd lap were disqualified. It was extemily disappointing that they were members of one of the local clubs and were good runners. Absolutely no excuse for such behavior. ”

“A great no-frills event - Great value for money, greatly organized, with no frills and fluff to it. But attention to detail where it counts: chip timing, challenging course, good weather and timing. Great that a juniors race was added too. ”

“Slack Marshalling left a poor taste in mouth - Good that there were no medals. however a headline start time of 7pm which was the kids race confused everyone. 30 mins later we started. slack marshalling meant runners cheated. Many especially the winning times did not stick to the course but they still appear in the results and gained prizes. whoever you are, you must run the correct course. bit disappointing.”
