“More needs to be done - The fact that the event took places shows how capable the organisers are to hold the same event next year. the course was perfectly measured, and great marshalling. what needs to be done include start/finish area, hosting 3 races at the same time requires more organisation than what actually they did, they need to make sure all athlete stand in their race categories to avoid others getting ahead start over other. they need to keep an eye on the leading group especially the top 5 runners in each”

“A great idea! - I wanted to participate for the worthy cause of supporting the labourers so agree with others when they say that the race giveaways should have gone to them as that was what was expected. I thought that it was pretty well organized for a first time although parking was tricky for some. Would definitely do it again and with some tweaking, will be a great little run. Trainers or clothes and the goody bag stuff should definitely go to the labourers though next time. Thanks for organizing! ”

“Need to improve but good - Prior arrangements like wash rooms, music, guidance needs to be done properly”

“Not worse... - Coordination with authority is ok.. registration fee was same with "we run dxb" but comparing how they've managed/ handled the event, NEED MORE IMPROVEMENT ”

“A nightmare reaching the parking area - Very poor road signs to reach the parking zone. I was 1km far from the parking area 30' before the starting time but I didn't manage to arrive on time and had to run without chip due to the traffic jam. Volunteers didn't speak basic English and couldn't understand from them where to go. ”

“Potential to become a great event - The initiative behind the event is great. More advertising would ensure more participants. Agree with comment to ask runners to bring a pair of running shoes to donate and give the race giveaways to the labourers. I came early and know the area so was easy for me. Heard people talking about getting lost and could not enter due to traffic and road closures - so maybe better route markings from highway. Overall good effort from the organisers. Thank you for your efforts in this worthy cause”

“I couldn't even get in! - I arrived with very little time to spare. That turned out to be a big error as the police had blocked off the road. When I asked the officer where I should park - he bellowed "go" and so I drove down to a drinks marshall who told me to drive back to the roundabout. Again the policeman told me to leave the area!!! I went back to the Marshall who said I should drive up the dirt road, but that would be right in front of the best policemen.. so I gave up. Will definitely not participate again!”

“Not very well organised - Arrived within good time however the road we were advised to follow to the start and finish line area was closed and traffic not allowed to pass! If i was on my own i would have missed the race.”

“Good start, hopefully it grows next year - In the race info it is clearly stated that: The 10K&5K winners in each age category will receive special trophies. However that was not the case as there were no age category prizes for the 5k race. Registration was for specific age categories, so it was clear that results and prizes should also have been awarded accordingly. Very disappointing.”

“Enjoyable run - Event pack should be available for collection some days prior. The announced toilets were actually located in one of the labour camps which felt uncomfortable to use as a woman. Run timing is not precise. As this run is to support the laborers, I recommend removing the giveaways and add this saved money to support the cause. I gave my bag to one of the bystanders who was delighted. ”

“Appritiate Labor Run - The event was fabulous and the most praiseworthy and appritiative aspact was of the security in shape of police motor bikes and cars. It seemed like going to some adventure. It was really a noble cause.”

“Excellent social event - Excellent event and great organization. Was hoping for more labours to join us while running. Maybe next year should have better advertisement and marketing. no timing mat in the track or at the start line. It was at the finish line only. and i would recommend asking runners to bring extra shoes or sports wear to give away for the labours. great event overall. Thank you team sports uae”

“Love the event - Ive enjoy running specially for a cause, I love to participate it again. But one thing I've noticed is during the collection of numbers & race band they are not organized, there is proper line or everyone is rushing to get there items. Hopefully in the future we can provide something that people will just follow the line accordingly. But well done to all the organizer & volunteer. Thanks”

“What was that about? - First of all, nice route. But, the title of the race was "Run so they can run"...but at the end, all the labor workers were watching the event from their balcony.....i tought we paid so they can run for FREE! And please next time use a megaphone!! But this race has potential!”
