“Very nice organisation, terrible course. - Please consider either changing the course or securing it better. The first half was great, but the second half is just terrible. Running on narrow sidewalks with full traffic on the road is just not what a race should look like. For a several thousand participant road race in a city, the roads should be closed IMO (as it is in most city races I participated in). Running through a construction site wasn't exactly living up to 'the world's most beautiful half marathon' either. The rest was great.”

“Very nice event. - Photograph service was poor. You better set up automatic photo stations at different places. There were very few photographers. And they were not engaged fully in their job. Otherwise, it is an excellent event. The breakfast simply was outstanding. the marshal at starting line up asking people to line up according to the colour of the BIB should be given a hand held sound amplifier. He was shouting as best as he could but was not audible enough.”

“Great organisation and support on the day - Overall, a huge thank you and virtual high five to the organisers, marshals and volunteers. You were all awesome. Only feedback I can give is re. the course (and it's an FYI for future runners rather than a complaint). It is tough if you're looking for a fast time. Lots of kerbs to jump up and down, some stretches of sandy paths, loads of tight u-turns and 90 degree turns throughout, some tight, busy stretches (pedestrians, traffic, etc). Makes keeping a consistent pace challenging. ”

“Awesome race well organised - Great marshaling and support from volunteers Beautiful course along the creek and through the old souk Breakfast was the best part of the event ;) The only small negative point is that as I never raced any road races over 10km I was in the blue Group and I had to overtake the slow runners from the green Group as I reached the 1st bridge where the running path was narrow. It was difficult especially that some slow runners would not even move and let us pass. ”

“Run was grand! - Not enough toilets - no portaloos on the course and only one official toilet stop at 11.5 km! Poor show...the Q’s before the race start rediculous and then nothing along the course at least place 2 or 3 tportaloos at the drink stops!”

“Definitely do it again! - Had a problem with the extra breakfast ticket as It was not Provided to me upon the pick up of the kit. Had to go through my sms bank transaction and to my premier online account to show that I have actually paid for it. Eventually, my partner have been let in after 20mins. Breakfast was served cold and has limited selection. ”

Only comment for improvement is the water/drink stations should be located away from the creek and in a more eco-friendly way. Some bottles ended up floating in the creek and many thrown away after a sip (wasting all content and plastic) Also distance was 21.3 we understand it was because of construction. ”
