The course was well excellent - didn't go wrong on the cycle course but can fully understand those who did. “Lack of Marshall made a mess - I lost my points and it was not my fault. I should not have been penalized for the lack of a marshall in a critical fork during the first loop. I was following the leaders (who also lost their points).”

“Great Event - will be back as always - The new bag collection idea works great. Rack bike, grab your bag and done. No lining up waiting for pack collection. A roving marshal car would be a great idea to assist riders and stop any drafting (maybe a motor bike)”

“A small gripe over pricing - Unfortunately after Race 1, I lost my race belt that I purchased during the 2013-14 season. I decided to get a new one for this race. But 50 AED for a belt was punishing. The belt was to my frustration, of a different design than the last one, with a bigger profile and gel sachets , something I didn't want for a short race. The race team could offer a few options so people can go with a cheaper one. A terrific idea to increase future participation maybe to bring down the cost of participation!”

“Very good event ! - Continuing to deliver a great event in safe surroundings. Well organized, with a rising number of participants making it a desirable event to attend. Given the sand/stones on the bike course, it would be ideal to have a roving car equipped with emergency supplies (tubes, pump, levers etc) and a rack for any Terminal Technicals. If it travelled against the flow, it would meet any unfortunate individuals. Kudos to organizers and support staff. Looking forward to #3.”

“Excellent, but ... - I enjoyed the race, it had a truly middle east feel to it with the camels, sun rise and sand dunes! The marshals needed to be more proactive when directing people i.e. point in the direction the athlete should be going instead of staring at the floor or talking on the phone. The mix up with the route could have easily been fixed with some cones, a sign or marshals. I was impressed demure of the race winner, its great to meet people of that caliber who are pleasant and enthusiastic.”

“Excellent event! - Superb organisation - arriving knowing my race number from the email meant I could rack the bick straight away EXCELLENT. Goody bag was one of the best I have received ever. Course was great - just needed a sign or Marshall on the far bend as it turned out I did 3km less! Finish, timing and staff were great too. Would have preferred the ChampionChip so I can keep all my results in one place on their web but this event was so good I can look past this and will do next one!”

“Fantastic Morning's Race - A marked improvement from Race 1. Was great to see more people participate and really enjoyed the comeradery out on course. Briefing, organisation, course, signage, volunteers and even the toilets were all brilliant. Much preferred the collection arrangements for the timing chip and goodie bag. Can't fault anything. Bring on Race 3!”
