“It was a very awesome event. Enjoyed it thoroughly - A very well organised event. The medals were very nice. But the cycling route was a bit tough with ups and downs. But enjoyed.”

“Good organization - Hamdan Sports Complex is good venue for the race. I would request that street lights in the car park area should be switched on from 6am as it was dark and I had difficulty assembling my bike. ”

For the organisers to get so many volunteers to help is amazing, it really helps with the support stations and with people helping with directing the athletes on a 'tricky' cycling route. I do prefer the other courses, other than the Hamdan Sports Complex, but I do understand the constraints within Dubai. I will take part again and I have recommended this to friends. ”

“Good course - very well organised - Transition area very good - excellent segregation between the run and the bikes. Marshalls very good stationed at all the right locations. I know there was a problem with sand on the course - some of it very significant that could not have been caused overnight. I doubt it's the responsibility of Race.me but I would have thought that it should be regularly cleared for normal users of the track. On the whole, an excellent event, efficiently managed.”

“Another superb Duathlon - Small improvements on the last time out made a big difference. Additional toilets, wider turn around points, better dismount zone. Great efforts made to clear the sand but we do live in a desert at the end of the day. Sand & gravel at the 90 degree turns made for an interesting spectacle, saw wobbles but luckily no falls and it made the ride a little slower. Fantastic event for all and great to see so many kids involved in the sport. Cute little girl fell off her bike, cried then completed. Ace!”

“A great experience overall - Just a comment about the marshalls, being towards the end of the field I found the marshalls a bit uninterested, lots of chatting going on amongst them, whilst I just wanted to know which way to go ! Twice whilst cycling and twice whilst running, in particular the guy who clearly sent me and another participant the wrong way; we both shouted we had finished the 2 running laps and he still said to turn left, which turned out to be wrong and we had to run back. ”
