“Great Event ... will do it again - I was a little bit suspicious once I arrived in the morning as it was dark and you can only see car lights. Later I found that the race was well organized and I enjoyed the race from beginning to end. Nice challenging distinct DIT (1.5/80/10), got good feedback for myself as a preparation for IM 70.3 Duabi. Thanks to all marshals and volunteers for the cheers and support.”

“Great event out of traffic - I like this event, even it is a bit off and someone can say it is not exactly spectacular area. Safe event, out of traffic (mostly) and good organization. Good fuel stations positions. Only comments i've heard is from spectators - no shade to hide from sun if you are there most of the day. Otherwise great Friday :-)”

“Good + well organized event, interesting distance - A very well organized event with great marshalls and supporters. The bike course was a bit boring. There were enough aid stations along the courses and the cold sponges were just fantastic. The award ceremony was done very quickly but I wonder how my trophy for winning the age group could get lost. So I'm happy with my tophy for female 60+ instead of 40-49 :D Great job everyone.”

“Great marshals;needs improvements on facilities - Overall, the event was well organized and marshals were really nice and very supportive. Considering it's an "international event", a proper finisher shirt would be nice; suggest to separate the transition areas for each distance as it was quite demotivating seeing other people leaving and claiming their bikes while others are still racing; suggest to have more toilets/showers available for use and more shaded areas for supporters”

“Well organised event, very good traffic marshals. - The support stations were great, given the location it was brilliant having ice cold sponges at the stations. One tiny suggestion: if the volunteers could half fill the cups of electrolytes it would be much better (as in Ironman events). You only really need a few gulps, and a cup full to the brim slows you down a bit. Otherwise a very well organised event in a challenging race venue. Bravo!”

“A good event with some improvement needed - Overall a great event in a unique location. The marshalls do a great job given their experience. A little more attention to the newer athletes leaving without helmets on the right way is a safety issue that should be addressed for future events. It was hot by the end of the race so one more aid station would have been a huge help. Well done on the sponges they made a huge difference. The 80km bike is a great distance to have as part of the UAE calendar. ”

“Well organised event in quiet location - Perfect swimming conditions, a slightly boring ride and a very hot run. Things to improve on: more parking closer to the start, punch bigger holes into the bibs, have toilet blocks on the ride and run course, have music on the run course and provide more shade at finish. Things I really enjoyed: Clear directions to the event, punctuality, the big buoys, lots of friendly marshalls, carpet in transition, plenty of water and sponges on the run, fruit and water at the finish and speedy awards.”

“Excellent course... aid station need improvement - I just noticed that on the bike course there was only one aid station and nothing in-between. So if you missed that, suffer for the next 20kms if doing DIT. On the run leg aid stations were very good but on the finish line I didn’t see any immediate medical assistance/tent since I was experiencing muscle cramps on tighs and legs. There was a massage tent but they too dont have cramp spray to ease the pain. Aside from that, it was a wonderful experience and still a great race. ”

“The finish & the far run water station quit early - I finished the DIT in just under five hours. I came across the finish line at about 11:28 AM. I think the timer was already turned off. This is a shame not to keep the course open until 11:30. The same thing happened at the final water stations. The crew was so concerned about cleaning up, that I didn't get water on the far side of the 10 km running route. This station simply quit 30 minutes prior to the end of the race (and at a time when the final guys were struggling in the heat). ”

“excellent event-thanks - Takes hard work and some more to put an event on like this. Due to my business and sport contacts in the UK I have seen what it takes. “Good, but room for improvement - Event generally well organised, course good, well marshalled. But 10 toilets for 1200+ people is simply not enough... Please provide more facilities.”

“Knackered but fun! - Have some breakfast selections at the food stands and not burger and chips at 9am for the spectators. May be smooched at the bike turnaround too. Otherwise very well done and as always well organised.”
