“Well organised - a good size of event too.”
“I'm suprised about the negative feedback! This is a well organised smaller event with a lovely atmosphere. Dean and his team manage communication well. The new medal is great. This is a great event for anyone that wants a 10k time trial and is considerably cheaper than bigger, less well organised runs. Having an event like this in the calendar is great - you turn up, you run, no stress! Brilliant! Thanks Dean, and team!”
“Liked the different categories. Would be nice to run on a softer ground? ”
“I always enjoy this event, many thanks to Dean and all the organisers and volunteers. It may be a bit more expensive now but the medal is much nicer and, as usual, the trophies are great and appreciated. Timings on the facebook page aren't ideal, I think some people don't know where to find them, and possibly a professional photography company with an option to buy photos might be good. Other than that, despite living in Abu Dhabi now, I will be back.”

“I'm a slow plodder ad use these runs to experience the race and have a great laugh I'm
N my view they are fantastically organised with a few welcome hiccups - professions yet lighthearted - will definititley continue to do ”
“Fantastic age group trophies ”
“The location was good with sufficient parking space.
The registration fees is very high as compared to other events in the same category.
The race started on time, however prize distribution started 30-40 mins late which was a bit frustrating. ”
“Course and coordination were sufficiently planned, but nothing beyond that.
Pros: enough water and water stations, well marked course.
Cons: no warm up, little in the way of atmosphere, days after the race now and still no official timing results.”
“2014 Feb DDRR was foggy
2015 Feb DDRR was sand storm
2016 Feb DDRR was foggy again
See you in 2017”
“I will definitely try this event again. NIce people and well organized.”
“Enjoyable run, very flat an fast and organised well. Not to many people either. I prefer runs that are limited to hundreds instead of thousands.”
“Registration, pre race communication and bib collection on the morning were all excellent! It was really foggy the morning of the run and I loved running in those conditions! The course was pretty simple, 2 laps of a 5km loop.
Unfortunately there was no t-shirt, and no food or sports drinks provided to the runners as they finished. It's 3 days after the event and the results have not been published.
This event is cheaper than most, but I wouldn't say it's better value. Improvements can be made”
“Will definitely run again in this event...”
“A big THANK YOU to all the event organisers and of course the volunteers. It has come a long way and is improving with every race. Really enjoy this simple and hassle free event and the weather always creates its own challenges. Thanks once again and look forward to the next 1. ”
“Good atmosphere, organization has improved over the years.
Timing service is ok, but the results are published in a format that cannot be sorted, filtered, etc. It will be great to add a field for TEAM.
Support stations with water in a plastic cup doesn't work when running fast. Little bottles would be appreciated for faster runners.
The presenter in the award ceremony was funny and knew most runners.
Course can improve as area has many other options.
GOOD VALUE for MONEY”
“It was fun. Medal needs to improve..”
“They should hav better communication facility and certificates should be given .”
“Considering it is a low profile race, lots of positives. However, with a bit more of manpower support, more can be done. Like the medal and trophy giveaways - it makes everyone feel better - can mention the timing as well.
Having gone thru' high profile events, DDRR is so easy - just go on race day, pick your bib, run and be back. If only the race timing and photo services can be better (The photographer at the finish had one hand in his pocket & taking snaps like he was faking)!!”
“Organizers can still do better.”
“Photo download and chip time shall be uploaded asap. No information even after 24 hrs.”
“Enjoyed the event, well organised”
“Nice race in the desert surroundings but missing a bit of glamour which I guess will come up eventually.
Happy to see so many enthusiastic runners all through.”
“A clean, traffic free course. Good support stations, good signage. Only comment would be that as my first time running this event it wasn't made clear where to deposit the timing tags at the finish line. I saw plenty people just walking off with them because they didn't know where to put them. I left mine on an empty registration table.
Had a good run. It's simple and hassle free, which is a positive. ”
“I enjoy this 10km. It is well organized and great value for money.
Looking forward to next time!!”
“I would suggest that a shuttle service or voluntary car pool to the nearest public transport station to encourage all participant to stay back for the presentation ”
“Timing for 3k not precise.
Track longer than 3k.
No clear markings where is the finish line.”
“Always a good run, the fog today actually helped me by keeping the morning sun away! Plenty of drink station opportunities.
I didn't receive any info regarding timings, I had to look on Facebook, and my timing on the list was from the race start not from when I actually crossed the start line.
The medal is one of the nicer ones. A sponsor goodie bag at the finish (snacks, etc.) would be nice in lieu of a shirt souvenir.”
“Comparing it to another event I in is that the other event was a bit cheaper, there were better give aways ( shirts+ bigger medals) than this event. But still this one okay ”
“A great run. However I did not appreciate when I finished the course to.be shouted at by one of the men taking everyone's bib numbers down manually. He could not see the last digit from by bib and shouted at me. Disgusting behaviour.
“Well organised event with good signage. Clear instructions at the start of the race.”

“First time I am participating. I did X min and X seconds according to my mobile Nike plus. No timing of my running has been mentioned anywhere. What is the use of participating in such events. We join this to get inspiration. If my timing is intimated to me, it would be better.”

“The course is perfect! The marshalling and the signs on the road as well!! Great atmosphere!! But it just became too expensive for the type of event! It seems that common/social runners are only paying for the prices that are distributed at the end! ”
“I very much enjoyed this event especially as it allows multiple opportunities for individual trophies and improvement, we definitely attend future races.”
“I love DDRR it is the best run.”
“Very well run. Excellent race.”
“All good as usual, love running in the fog ”
“The race was a good run overall in terms of the location, the climate and the time. Event was organized well, though the main let down was there were no nourishments provided by the organizers after the event accept the water. In all other races that I have participated there has always been a complimentary bag with nourishments in it .
Would have also liked an instant access to my race time
Hope you look in to that.”
“In my opinion this event could be better organized in terms of timing tag, course and giveaways!! For instance, I just checked my race result according to the tag I was given and all the information posted on the website is incorrect. It says I finished in 45.42 min and my bib number was 116, however, I actually finished in 44.48 and my number is 177! No difference at all, right?? A friend of mine who ran with me doesn't even has his name on the results list! What a joke, really bad organization”
