“Great & very well organized.
the only negative, in some areas the course has brick flooring, it's uncomfortable to run on it.”
“I enjoyed the run despite being sick and struggling to breath. The marshalls were great and very enthusiastic. It was a pity that due to construction the race had to be laps. Looking forward to doing it again next year when I'm hopefully healthy again. ”
“I wish there were more spectators and that I had known that it wasn't on asphalt. I would have appreciated a map of the Finisher's Zone so that we would know where to begin, end, pick-up, etc. For a small race, I thought it went well, but I didn't realize how small of a race it was. I loved that the US ultra team was there for pictures and signing. It felt small and intimate which was nice, but it lacked the organization of a big race.”
“Efficiently organised event from online registration through to crossing the finishing line. Frustrating that the route doesn't make use of Aspire Park. This is the fourth time I've competed in this event and I'm fairly sure the park has never been part of the route. Preference would be for bigger course and fewer laps. Overall it was well run but probably a little overpriced for what it is. ”
“Water in cups not bottles please.”
Great organization from DC and great support from the kids.
Track - a bit hard, if it could change between pavement and grass it would improve - Aspire Park is just around the track so venturing into it could be a good idea
Numbers - the stick-on numbers were bad. I still haven't managed to take the glue out of my shorts. Suggest next time to use the normal process of pins to attach them
Recovery food at end can improve”
“It's nice if I can wear the t shirt in the event and the size given according to what stated in the registration. Overall it was fun.”
“Premier Online website is not intuitive. Logging on was a pain. Finding pre race instructions was not easy. ”
“Registration was amazing thanks to the set up from the event the previous day. Course route was good. Volunteer team gave very enthusiastic cheering. The children's play area was enjoyed by my kids while I was running. Nice atmosphere. The fee was expensive - there should be a way to participate in a 'fun run' section without the additional cost of the timing chips, etc. Refreshments at the end were poor.”
“Finisher medal can be improved more”
“Four laps route in a very hard pavement in the beautiful Aspire Park. Only two laps in a larger route would have been much better. Banana and water/soda at the end is just nothing for the price. Medal and t-shirt are ok. Very good organization and very cheerful and supportive people cheering up runners through the entire race. ”
“It seems a shame to run 4 laps around a building when there is a huge beautiful park just meters away!”
“It was hard to find out your time on the day of the event. It was hot and humid; I would have liked to run at 6 am to avoid the heat. It would be good to have cups for the water station as it was hard to drink from a full bottle of water while running. The volunteers were very enthusiastic and did a great job cheering on the runners. In the future it would be nice to run around a course in the park.”
“The Volunteers were the best all along the course! Cobblestones painful on feet! T-shirt great.
Timing & Results bad. Couldn't get time at end of race. Results published on Saturday were different to results published Monday by over a minute sometimes! How is that possible? Overall though a good race. Well done! ”
“I found the commentator to be both informative and clever with his remarks. The atmosphere was relaxed, the food was decent, and the venue was nice. Obviously, I would prefer a more interesting route, but overall it worked, given the constraints of space. I have attended many events elsewhere, and this was as good as most of them. Well done, and, as always, it is the volunteers that make these races a success. Hats off to them!”
“Good communication, good volunteers & marshals, clear organisation at start & finish. Course was 10.2km, this is something that should be definetley sorted out. A 10km race is a 10km race! Times were adjusted for this but this is a major oversight. The course was 4 laps which was dubious about before the race but was good to run. Not fussed by medal, t-shirt is nice. All said & done a good event and will sign up again, Doha needs more of these events! Thank you!”

“Results are very poorly communicated. I was looking for results in categories, your total time and we could even have our lap times.
People have been criticising the medal for the last couple of years and still we receive the same one. Otherwise a well organised fun event.
“A well organised event, but given the high participation fee, I would have expected a nice medal and better giveaways. It is the worst medal I've ever had. Good point for the t-shirt, it is the first time after many years in Qatar that I could have the correct size.”
“Doha College together with Premier Online organised this much better than the former Doha Marathons (Oredoo) . That is really great! Think about going up to Marathon lenght since in 2017 there is no such Race in Doha while the UAE have plenty...
For Time results: would have liked to filter the age groups.
Very nice run”
“Praise Doha College for the organisation and all the volunteer staff and pupils who helped out, will definitely attend this again next year.”
“The volunteers stationed along the track & at the support stations did a very good job of cheering us on (Beginners like me really needed it to finish the race)
The food served did not look that great. It could have been served in packs as a quick grab and go.
The T-shirts were not a good fit. The neck is a tad too small to squeeze into. Not good value for money.
“It would have been better if the 10 k race started earlier i.e. 6 or 6:30 am as it got really hot! ”
“Given the heat and humidity, hosting a race at 7 am and 8 am is too late. It was 75% humidity. An hour makes a big difference. Other than that, the organisers were amazing--and always ready to help whenever I had questions. For example, the automated email did not have our bib numbers, but Nikki Symons wrote me right back to help. She was awesome. ”

“The event was well organised, I enjoyed the event and will participate next year.
The running surface (cobble stones) was hard on the feet.
The start time could have been moved forward to 6am for the 10km and 7am for the 5km.
Overall a good event and great atmosphere.”
“Doha College maintained its usual very high standard of organisation. The mood was excellent, things ran on time and smiling runners told their own story. The course was, though, very hard underfoot. I wonder whether there is a way of avoiding all the cobbles in Aspire Zone races. Perhaps that's just part of the challenge. Well done and thank you to Doha College for keeping this high standard event going for the running community.”
“Everything was perfect today, volunteers were awesome and lovely, i wish it can be twice a year not just once <3”
“I loved the student volunteers enthusiastically cheering all the way. Nice to have a different route. The timing results bit bothersome with your time only shown as added to the winner's time. Also doesn't show the different category winners like in the past and one had to create another account.”

“Medal and T-shirt should not have been on the same design last year. Where to check for timings? Over-all its good event.”
“No M size t-shirts
Breakfast are so-so
“The 2.5km lap was good with plenty of water stations. The medal itself could have been better quality and engraved. Also I could not find out what time I achieved and instead I had to wait for the results to appear online. Perhaps having a stop clock at the start /finish line would be good.”
“Nothing angers a runner more than doing all the weeks of training, preparing for the race day and doing the race only to find that when you go to check your time the so called professional website says your time has not been logged and that I am still out there running the course 5 hours later! What a shame. I feel like it was all for nothing and the last 2 months of my life have been wasted. Thanks for nothing”
“Excellent event in all context.”
“Really well organized,
only negative, would be nice if there was a compere on the mic for all the runners and not stopping once the elite 5km runners were in. For some runners who take longer than the norm, being welcomed back in after a tough run is really nice. ”
“I would highly recommend avoiding the sticky label bib numbers. I didn't like them. They weren't very flexible and mine didn't stay on long at all. I also noticed a number of other race bib numbers along the course”
“Volunteers made this years event stand out: from cheering to water stations, to guidance pre & post race! The guys at the bib pickup station very polite and effective! An overall fantastic experience!
One point than was better organized last year: the bib picKup location for Friday evening hard to find.”
