“Good event but disappointed no results - Good course, pretty good organisation and well marshalled/police cooperation. Really poor that there was no results for any age cats and overall!”

“Nearly a disaster! - Inexcusable to advertise full road closures then allow idiot drivers to race past the peloton travelling at >50km/hr....the road was obviously not closed and many inc me were very surprised!! My wife will not allow me to enter this event again as a result of it being downright dangerous. Announcement at the start should have been made or on pack collection.”

“Very basic organization - A lot of participants complain about the weather. 8am was just fine. It's a race. In a race you have to compete against the elements as well. The real problem was the amateurish organization: No timing chips, although it was a race that would end up at a mass sprint, meaning no results. I hate to race and never find out what was my place. I could have gone for a social ride instead. Also the delay at the registration desk is unacceptable. Only one person to serve 250 people? C'mon guys!”

“can do with better organization/ communication - Really should start earlier, and dont advertise the road closure when the cars are just controlled. Not everyone would have participated if they known that. Timing really should be till the last one is over the finish line! not when they are still coming in and you are packing up your arch and no one is checking they are back in and what time! ”

“Good to have separate women’s race. - Surprised to find the UAE CF can’t manage chip timing. This is a national organization. A very easy and essential part of any race to organize. Next time perhaps. ”

“Fun but unsafe - Great to ride on Dubai roads but the lack of actual road closure was terrifying. To have cars passing in outside lane during race when the peloton is zipping across width of road to follow breaks was crazy. ”

“Open roads and poor organization - There is a lot of room for improvement with the race organization. The race was not well signed and was on open roads. There were no signs to warn oncoming cars that there was a road cycling race taking place and to drive with caution. No timing results have been provided. There was plenty of cold water available to riders who were overheating which is good, as the race started too late for the time of year, which resulted in a very hot finish.”

“Enjoyable though needs better organisation - + points * Good challenging distance and course * Good support from police and ambulances * Good supply of water bottles at regular intervls - points * Scant information pre-race * Slow process for collecting race numbers * Really really silly to start at 8am. Should not have been any later than 7am”

“great race poor organization - Event pack collection was easy to find, The race started 1 hr late, bad organization, lack of communication from organizers, no participant knew where is the start line until 10 minutes of the race start. After completion, the organizers started immediately with award ceremony even if not all participant completed the race. No medal or certificate for other participants except first 3 places in each category. No timing was kept. Support stations were frequent and very helpful.”
