“Medals - Medals should be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category, male and female. Giving for just 1st place looks very cheap. Also it wasn't so easy to find out our times we completed the race in. Only when we got an email of race results two days after.”

“Good 1st race of the season - The route might have had tight bends, but were manageable. The bins for the water stations should have been spaced out more so you didn't have to stop to drink. Disappointed that I had to pay in the ADNEC multi-storey car park, especially as it seemed as if the VIP ground parking was free and available for runners (no signs to say this)”

“Great start of the new season - Great organization and big thanks to all volunteers for a long day of dedication to this event. The music was a nice extra. Sadly no age categories this time for the prices but hey I had 20 km of zig zagging fun in a cool atmosphere ! ”

“Great to run indoors but course very boring. - Going up and down the same hall was mind-numbing, running through several halls would be so much more interesting. T shirts are a waste of money, we all run so either give us a sports vest/Tshirt or keep the money for the charity! We knew nothing about the evening presentation, it wasn't publicised in the morning or at any point. We missed out on receiving something and would have loved to have come for the social side if only we had known about it! Good atmosphere, friendly and well organised.”

“Really enjoyed the event - It would be helpful to have a bit more information before the race, I was a bit confused as to whether I would need to buy a championchip and where to park etc. Otherwise excellent.”

The event has been announced late, maybe this is the reason of not so great number of participants. A bit sharp curves, still not comparable to treadmill running. Run free is the best option. “Improving each year - good first event of the year - Great to have air con over the whole route. Music big bonus. Be helpful to have km marker. Champion chip timing would be great if possible. Slightly annoying parking - I parked in ADNEC last year and paid for parking only to be told there was no need ... Parked again this year and didn't pay and got told I had to pay! If the pre-event comms mentioned parking at the hotel I must have missed it. Would have preferred 30 AED had gone to the charity!”

“Great event after a long hot summer - It's a real good family event in a good cause. After a long hot summer its a real pleasure to run without worry about over cooking. Really enjoyed the run and so did the family and a good cause was supported. Look forward to next year.”

“Always great to run for a cause - I really enjoyed the run, I took part in the unlimited distance and must say that the zigzagging and hard cement floor really takes it's toll on the legs after 9 hours, it makes it tougher which is good :) All in all a well organized day, just needs some kind of timing and perhaps a 12 hour version for next year starting earlier”

“Well organised, good cause - It's good to be part of this event, and I'd certainly come back for more. I enjoyed last year's course more for it's greater variety, but I suppose this year's version benefits from being air conditioned all the way. The organisers succeed in hitting the right balance: it's a fun, family event but there's a worthy reason why everyone is there. Clearly there's a lot of hard work in organising this, and the reward is that everything went smoothly. Nice job!”

“Great start to the season - This event improves every year. The course was much better - no hot spots - and the music was a fantastic addition. This is a real family event and even better that it is for such a good cause - and it is all in the cool indoors. “A bit boring but a good first run of the season - Thanks for putting this together - a great cause for sure. Definite improvement from last year but I still felt it was a bit boring going round and round and zigzagging. Wish that it was ChampionChip timed but maybe that would've left less to give to charity? Still haven't received my timing. Finally, wish that we could've received a medal, but again, more for charity (I hope). In all, a good family event and first for the season. Thanks!”

“Excellent start to the season - All good: organisation, event giveaways, info about the UNICEF/Aloft fundraising and history, the colour-coded track, DJ, kids' 2km event, which my kids loved, and the setting. And a 9am start for an event is such a luxury. ”

“Nice family run for the start of the season - The Tcourse presented too many corners - difficult and nor practicable for running. the drinks at the station weer tendered in cups which is not ideal for drinking and leads to spillages on the marble.”
