I found the chip/timing system to be a real burden, especially for the kids that had to wait more than 10 min to get their chip "confirmed" while they were wet and cold. “Nice morning - Nice event at a great location. Kids event has room for improvement, kayaks blocked the swim path a few times, having all the kids have to wait and have their chip swiped with only one person doing the swiping was disappointing given how cold many of the kids were getting having to wait. Timing is all over the place for the kids times online having all 3 distances mashed together. Kids activities was a nice touch and medals were good. ”

“Bring On More Ocean Swims To Abu Dhabi! - I had a great time in my 1 mile race today. The organisation was pretty spot on. What a fantastic location to hold the swim! I've done many lake and ocean swims in the UK and Australia and we need more of this in Abu Dhabi with such a perfect outdoor swimming climate in the winter. My only complaint is that it would be great to have the online results sooner. It's now 6pm and no results online as yet. Thanks again for a top event.”

“Overall a very good event. - Being 15 years old the event I took part in had a very big age range which did not seem fair. Maybe adults have their own shorter course if they did not want to complete the 1500? The timing and results category is not relevant as the results are not known yet.”
