“A great way to start the season... - Clockwork organisation as always from the ABRaS team. This is a runners' race with a nice mix of good banter and steely intent! The new start point is better as it gives more space to the full group versus the previous one. The various businesses show-casing their products gives a further "event" feel (rather than a race alone) and allows for thoughtful giveaways at the race end. One small (literally) gripe was their their were no mens' small shirts left when I finished. Thanks Again. Richard”

“Great Event to test fitness - This was my first time running the event. I was impressed with how well it was run, the organization and the field of runners. “Come back again ! - It was a very good occasion of 10km trial in Oct. The number of participants is good, not so many, not so little. I wanted to check 9km point which I missed for my last spart.”

“Good Race - All in all the race was well run. However, when I arrived at the finish, they were all out of Medium shirts which is what I had requested. While I am slower, I was not one of the last finishers and was disappointed that my size was not available. I doubt I will ever wear the Large that was my only option.”

“Waste disposal of bottles & cups around course. - I really enjoyed the event. my only concern was the seeming lack of refuse bins at the finish area where every one gathered for start announcements and the sponsors stands where. A lot of people where just throwing empty drink bottles away as lack on bins... also along the course. I kept hold of my drink as sipped as ran. I then had an issues with disposing of cup especially along the jetty as may have ended up in the sea. which is not at all good. maybe in future large open top bins can sited.”

“A really nice local race - Really happy with this race. Could not be easier to get to if you are a local Dubai resident, with plenty of parking very close to the event start / finish line. Easily accessible and clean bathroom facilities and a relaxed atmosphere overall. My only 'complaint', and this is minor, is that at one point the race course takes you past some dumpsters and that is a bit stinky, but otherwise a nice flat 3-loop course that was a lot of fun to run.”

“Distance signage needs to be improved - Distance signage was very misleading and needs to be improved. The distances were not accurate and we're not updated throughout the race.”

“Great first ABraS of the season! - One minor comment for unforeseen event is the start to be better organized in future races (car not blocking the start line). Great job to all the volunteers and marshals on the course supporting the runners. Course a bit challenging at times but nicely shaded by the greenery and tall Marina buildings. Great event giveaways and nice medal. Overall good communications and punctual agenda (briefing, results, giveaways). Keep up the good job ABRaS!”

“Exceptionally high benchmark set by race directors - Cannot fault any element about the race (even the dubious looking protein treats). Hate to see anyone criticise the marshalls who are all volunteers and were great support, and to get your time direct to your phone less than an hour after finishing the race was brilliant. ”

“Nice location, well organised event - Although a bit narrow in places, the course is good. Km signage is poor with only half of the distances marked. However, the location is good with the early morning coolness off the sea making it a pleasant temperature.”

“Thanks for a great race & look forward to the next - Overall, very well organized! Enjoyed the race & the atmosphere was wonderful. The medal is beautiful & very posh! It would be even better if participants were allowed to use shower facilities at Club Mina. I was refused entry as I was a non-member & it was a bit awkward as we had breakfast vouchers for the Westin. Another area of potential improvement is to have stock of t-shirts as per participant request while registering. That said, well done & keep up the great work!!”

Net timing would be good, my 10 year old missed the start of the 3k by a couple of minutes as it took us a while to find it once I had finished the 10k. Other than that we both had a great time.”

“This is one of my favourite race among the season. - My favourite part of this event is the medal , however I do recommend to keep the marshals as adults and not juniors to support better. I'd to thank the organizers for considering the juniors by introducing the 3km junior run, however more support is required on the course and cheering those little ones. Thank you”

“Superb organisation and a great venue - As a first timer I was worried that the course might become congested over the three laps, and the vehicles coming and going on the docks might distract but I needn't have worried.
