“Nice race - Though the lagoon for the swim is nice, the swimming leg was a bit congested, maybe it would help to have two or three waves for the olympic. Bike and run were fine. Nice event!”

“One of the Best Events - Positives - great course, very well run event, great for supporters, results published at the event and more comprehensive results later that day. Negatives - parking, swim course little congested, support station staff need to remove cover from water, event pack on bike rack would be great, reduce sprint bike leg to the regulation 20km in lieu 24km. Overall this is a very enjoyable event”

“Ok but surely NOT the best race in UAE - The parking is difficult and it is crazy that for 4hours on an early Friday morning the Org is not capable to get a waiver from the police not to give tickets to any car is not parked properly. The marshals and support station were almost unattended toward the end of the race, when instead you have the most weak athletes, often older and handicapped who are trying desperately to reach the finish line. two steps after the finish line I have been assaulted by staff taking off chip and race nr!”

“A great event to start your triathlon racing. - It was my first triathlon. I participated in the sprint distance. All three sports were perfectly manages. The route was rightly chosen and managed. Next year, i would participate in all three of them. ”

“It could have been better - Whilst the course and venue of the event was nicer to some other triathlon races in the UAE, I would like to note the following observations; 1) There were not enough F&B facilities for refreshments noting drinks and bananas but not enough in comparison to other events 2) The swim leg whilst was nice in the Mamzar lagoon the course itself was somewhat congested and at times potentially dangerous particularly when the sprint and olympic swimmers were facing each other in the lagoon 3) support st”

“Standard 2XU Mamzar - Can still not hear Warren on his PA from Dragon mart. Swim course too tight, lapping swimmers dangerous. Medal Presentation early allows early participants depart early so no supporters there for those at the end of presentations.”

“Marshalls not alert - The event was well organised and basically stress free. This was my first triathlon so I was unsure of the bike course and very nervous, some marshalls were not alert and allowed me to turn the wrong way on the cycle course and one even pointed for me to continue after making the incorrect turn.”

“Good but could be great - Swimming course too tight. Additional Support stations would make the vent better. Emphasize on the rules and ask for some more discipline from participants and attendence.”

“Well organized Tri - Great event thanks for all the hard work organizing it. My only gripe was swim was more congested , possibly widen start or larger distance between the side rope and first turn? Will be back and continue to recommend it as a great place to introduce people to Tri ”

“This race gets better every year except fthe swim - I know that few years ago the municipality set the limiting swimming rope and people complain about swimming over/under those but the narrow channel left leaves the swim route a bit weird. Yesterday especially with the northerly current forced the athletes to pass extremely close 180 out with risk of head to head encounter. Is there any way we could go back as it was 4 years ago? At the start I found myself stucked in traffic near the rope with nowhere to go. Other than that brilliant race”
