“Awesome Ultra with views to die for-not literally! - The Medals could be tailored for race distance -72k solo etc igT shirts were nice and clean desin but again could reflect more in the design about the race distance and be more funky. Overall though, great challenge, see you next year.”

“Fantastic course with some fantastic people - Thanks for an amazing weekend. I ran the solo 72 on the Friday and stuck around for the Saturday to cheer on some students from where I work. The course was killer but so much fun, and the staff manning the aid stations were absolutely amazing. Hats off to the organisers for pulling this off again. The medal was nice, I wish it had something to make it different from the other events, other than a different colour ribbon.”

“Great Event and Amazing Course! - An awesome weekend, and great excuse to go for a good run with a team though an amazing landscape. Loved the course and we will definitely be back next year! Thanks to the organisers for a job well done!”

“Well organized and well worth participating - Very well organized - good job! Great scenery through the canyon that is hard to visit except through this event if you are non GCC. Good craich at the stops and the sight of the tents and fires on the beach in the evening is just great.”

“Great event - Great event, thank you to the organisers, I really had a good time. I just have a few comments. Race pack collection in Dubai/Abu Dhabi would have been nice. The finish area was a bit annoying because the people handling the timing had to keep shouting at people to stay out of the finish area. The medal should mention the event you did (event just a small sticker on the back). ”

“Fantastic event and place - Everything was just great, except for those few car drivers going fast and kicking up dust, who were inconsiderate of the runners. Great Job!!! Louis”

“Fantastic way to spend a weekend! - I supported a solo 50Km runner on Friday and ran as part of a team on Saturday. I think it was a great solution to hold the event over two days as it really cut down on the amount of dust for the soloists, and allowed them to actually be aware of the beautiful surroundings without worrying that they were going to get run over. It would be better however if all three solo distances could start earlier in the morning to avoid the heat. Thanks John and the team for another fantastic event.”

“Harder than it looks - A better medal. Larger, not just sponsors name all over it. Something that looks authentic.. with a bit of Oman heritage. maybe a medal with some releif in it to show the route of the wadi bih.”

“To be included in your adventure bucket list! - If you are searching for a unique environment, a challenging course, and a good human feeling, this is your race! Of course there were glitches as there are at every race even at the most renowned ones worldwide, but the camaraderie amongst runners, and the skillful volunteers’ warmth at checkpoints who truly mastered the art of lifting you up, washes it all out. THANK YOU ALL. Eliminate individual support vehicle they encourage cheating and someone was badly cheating!! ”

“Wadi Bih is Awsome! - Great event, well organized, hotel staff are very helpful as well, if you run or like the outdoors Wadi Bih is a MUST! I did the solo 50 kms as said before, it's tough not having more aid stations, the ones that were working were EXCELLENT, life savers! Will be back!”

“Fantastic event - I didn't actually get to run due to injury but I was there to support some of the 50k solo runners. I thought the event was well organized, the route was spectacular and the split over 2 days made it much easier as far as traffic and dust on the route goes. One suggestion would be to have an earlier start for the 50km race. Also there were no markers on the way back & we almost took the wrong road! Otherwise a well organized race. Hopefully I can actually run it next year. Thanks to all involved”

“Brilliant event - keeps getting better - This is my 5th time taking part in Wadi Bih (and 2nd time solo) and the organisation keeps getting better and better. Fantastic aid stations and awesome volunteers, easy and quick process for border crossing (including helpful signage on the roads in Dibba), and fab medal at the end. And of course the scenery and course is hard to beat, it's amazing! Only downside was that the end of race meal was served late, which was frustrating for earlier finishers who had to wait a long time to be fed.”

“Best event in the Region - Absolutely everything was spot on. Only one small issue , as a solo runner it was disappointing to see the teams at the manned stations using the facilities provided . ”

“No hassle at Wadi Bih this year - Easiest wadi bih so far with crossing the boarder, just felt a little lost when having to collect "the paper" beforehand..not sure that part was communicated in advance. All in all a great event, will do it again next year, then the 50k! Thanks to all organizers, staff and volunteers! ”

“A well organised event on an enjoyable course. - Generally very positive impression. It was a pity that the buffet and prize giving were delayed, and also my race number could not be found when I registered. That being said the organisation was otherwise good, and the route was very scenic (shame about the occasional thoughtless dust-spewing drivers). Thanks, and hope to be there again.”

“Great weekend away but buffet was rubbish - I thought the overall experience was great and one that was challenging yet enjoyable. The only thing that let the event down was the hotel post race buffet on both days. There was no real choice at all and if you cannot take spicy food there was nothing apart from bread and humous. I found this completely unacceptable and by far the worst buffet I have ever seen at any event or hotel. The organisers and volunteers were great, friendly and supportive. An absolute must for the future but BYO food”

“Fantastic event - Well done. The organization of this event was excellent. How about paying a water truck to drive down the night before and wet the road to keep the dust down? ”

“Best running event in the UAE! - Absolutely brilliant, and all credit and congratulations to the organisers for all their hard work to make this such a successful, fun and unique event. It's wonderful to participate in something that brings out the best in people and to see so many smiling faces.”

“Had a fantastic weekend! - My 11th Wadi Bih, as always, as a social runner I had a great time - this year running the solo 30, and also the team 72. My hat comes off to all involved in the organisation of this event, so many things to think about, all was covered in the pre-race communication. There is great camaraderie on these races. The friendly CP stations were just the right addition to the self support. My only comments - 30k route would be better further into the wadi, and an earlier start would be preferable. :-)”

“As always, a great event, thank you - Bravo for getting the border crossing sorted - I have to admit, I didn't think it would have improved on last year's debacle, but you did it, many congratulations! As always, the event itself is a great one, we love it & will be back next year. Only one comment, using black checkpoint marker flags makes them difficult to see in the dark - our runner had to over run the first stage.”

“Fantastic event - My first time running this race and I loved it! Thank you to the organisers and volunteers. I competed in the 50k solo and my only suggestion would be to have the start earlier than 7am if its possible. A great day out with wonderful scenery, thank you!”

“Fantastic Mountain Race - The system for picking up the visas prior to the Omani border was great - although maybe a bigger sign to the visa pickup area would have been better, we initially missed it in the dark. Otherwise a brilliant event. A big thanks to all the marshals, timekeepers and organisers.”

“A great taste of running in Oman! - A great run up a valley (Wadi) in Oman. Super friendly organization, aid stations well supplied and helpful. Two very minor suggestions: some "port-a-lets' in the camping area, and more accurate emails on who needed to supply passport and visa information. This is a first class run or relay in a beautiful desert valley.”

“Fantastic - Third Time solo, aid stations great, all the runners real friendly and supportive, great start finish venue and all run in a spectacular location, border crossing really easy this year and thanks to all who supported and made this event happen. My only comment is that the medals could say what you have done, in the past the ribbon said 'solo' I know they were colour coded. Very many thanks for a great weekend.”

“Great Race, missed the support from the Relay - Great Race, the border situation was much easier for us this year but arriving in the dark we missed the sign for border pass pickup at the roundabout.....Per haps it was in an email somewhere but I must of missed that too. the support at the checkpoints was fantastic!!! hats off to absolute adventure and their teams as well as all of the other volunteers!! One thing i did miss was having the 72 Relay the same day. Its a long and painful first 47kms with only solo runners for company”

“Great event, worth doing - This is a simple but awesome course. Great aid stations at good intervals and well organized. Would have been nice to have the distance engraved on the medal and the event pack may as well not have existed. If you want a running challenge then this is well worth it. Enjoy if you go next year. ”

“People make the race! - Wadi bih has some of the most awesome/kind people running, marshalling, and volunteering. The feel good atmosphere was almost worth the price of admission alone. Negatives 1. The course was mismeasured! 50k turned into 55K. When you are running over 30 miles, 3 more miles is life or death. 2. Not enough Aid stations. The aid stations that were availabe were well stocked. There just wasn't enough. 3. Dangerous blind spots. Cars were zooming up paved hill oblivious to runners.”

“Well done and thanks - I have participated in this event on three separate occasions (2 X 72KM solo and 1 X 30 KM solo) and have enjoyed it every time. Very organized. I like the 2 day split (much less traffic and dust on the course) and the introduction of the 30 and 50 KM Courses. It allowed me to participate this year with my daughter with reasonable distance options. ”
